Are you all thinking- Ab yeh kya hai bhai?

You mean, you really don't know?

Well, there's no need to fear when we are here.

Today, August 25th, 2015, marks the special date when our beloved show Phir Bhi Na Maane... Badtameez Dil completes its 50th episode.

It seems like it was just yesterday when we were first introduced to a glimpse of the complicated love story that belongs to Meher and Abeer. As characters, these two have marked their own presence in the television industry for having their own strong personalities that do not bend easily to other's wishes. They have carved a niche in the entertainment industry for presenting their love story in a unique non-linear format. A format where we are shown how they fell in love in flashbacks, and how they reconcile with their divorce in the present.

It is a unique show that continuously demonstrates how relationships cannot break simply because a name has been squiggled onto a piece of paper. Rather, it can in some instances, become stronger.

Not only are the main leads strong characters, but the secondary characters are equally complex and have been crafted with a lot of thought and care. Each character, whether it's Nisaar, Rati, Sattu or even Shyam, has created a deep impression on the audience and have been much appreciated by the masses.

The musical backdrop adds to the allure to the show and helps to attract new viewers consistently with their catchy tunes. The painful and deep lyrics of Mere Nishaan and Yaadein Teri has left the audience humming in their spare time.

There is so much more to the show than words can express. Thus, we have decided to showcase our love and appreciation for the show and to the team through this thread. We hope we can do justice to it as well as you have done with your show.

What is one of the few things that makes a good writing? Good characters. If your characters are weak, then the story will be weak. Without being able to craft multi-dimensional characters, no one would be interested in what you have to narrate. That is why Phir Bhi Na Maane... Badtameez Dil is one of the greatest shows created in today's time. Every character has been crafted with the utmost care and given complex layers that elicit different emotions from every viewer who has seen them. The fact that they can create multiple discussions over their personalities, behaviors and actions, is fulfilling as it means that the viewer's attention is highly engaged with the story line.

----

Abeer Malhotra

Abeer Malhotra is a well renowned musician who has built his career through his hard work and intense passion for music. He has faced many struggles to achieve his height of success, mainly due to the lack of support from his father's side. Although he may have a strained relationship with his father, he is cordial and close with his mom.

He is childish and immature at most times, but he also possesses the ability to show maturity and compassion when needed. However, the childish nature of his tends to overpower in most situations which is one of the compounding factors which has led to his divorce.

After the divorce, there are a few things that he takes very seriously: music and loyalty. He resorted to music to release his pain, anger and frustrations. He turned to his friends to help mend his heart. One friend that he is particularly close with is Nisaar, who has been there for him since childhood and has supported through every major ordeal in his life.

Abeer is the type of person who does not give up on relationships simply because they have been rendered invalid due to a legal signing. He is the type of person who continues to form relations and maintain and uphold their values.

Meher Purohit

Meher Purohit is an independent, beautiful, career oriented, modern-day woman. After her father had abandoned them for another woman, Meher had chosen to dedicate her time to her studies so that she could become highly successful and provide for her family. Seeing the constant struggles and sacrifices that her mom and aunt were making for them, Meher had wanted to achieve a high enough position so that they will never feel any form of discomfort ever again.

It was during college that she had met Abeer. At first, she was hesitant to talk to him, preferring to devote her time to her studies instead. But one circumstance led to the next and eventually she had fallen in love with him. Within a short period of time they had gotten married. Unfortunately, their marriage came to an early end with bitter divorce.

With eight years of separation in the way, Meher did not mope nor cry over her failed marriage. Rather, she took all that pain and invested it into achieving her earlier ambitions and dreams.

Suman Purohit

Suman, Meher's mother, is a calm and understanding woman. Despite her struggles of being a single mother, she has remained rational and has chosen to use the passive-aggressive approach to situations. Although she has been separated from her husband, she does not hold any resentment towards him. In fact, she does not get in the way of him trying to meet with his kids as she believes since he is their father, he has the right to. Whether her kids respond with the same sentiment, she leaves up to them.

From the Purohit family, Suman can be said to be the one who is more relaxed and fun. She simply lights up when Abeer comes over to visit them. Some can say she has found her long lost friend as they both tease and pester Meher endlessly.

But knowing how hard living a single life could be, Suman is constantly attempting to reunite Meher and Abeer so that they do not have to live in the same emotional void as she did.

Madhvi Malhotra

Madhvi, Abeer's mom, has supported Abeer in his musical interest since he was a child. She had allowed him to take private music classes and even continued to encourage him when his father wouldn't.

Her motherly devotion is not limited to Abeer only. The same adoration and affection is extended to Meher as well. Despite the divorce between the two children, she continues to wish well for them and would be more than happy if they end up reuniting.

Despite the encouragement she showers the children, she falls short in front of her husband as he overpowers her. She has tried to settle the differences between Kuber and Abeer, but it usually fails.

Kuber Malhotra

He is the sole founder of his business empire and always wished for his son to adopt his qualities and inherit his business empire after him. His deep dissatisfaction about his son's profession made him neglect his son in more ways than one. However, his displeasure in regards to Abeer's career choice does not diminish the love he has for the boy. When the need arises, Kuber will invest all the wealth, status and power he has obtained over the years in making sure his son and wife remain safe.

Kuber is a strong-headed man who has a very specific taste. He does not like to be surrounded by things that he considers are too lowly. Nor does he like to be around the Purohits.

There was a time when Kuber had been impressed by Meher as she was the only one who had been able to break his school record. However, what caused the hatred to arise is unknown. But he is continuously seen hanging over the 2.5 crores alimony over Abeer's and Meher's heads, reminding them of their separation.

Prestige and reputation mean a lot to him. Hence, he will not tolerate it when people like Shyam will try to either control his life or manipulate him into getting something done. If provoked, he will retaliate.

Shyam Purohit

Shyam Purohit is Meher and Tarun's biological father. When they were young, he had abandoned his family for another woman. He is a shameless man who has no self-respect. He will constantly be seen entering Meher's home unannounced or unwanted and leeching off of them. Whenever he arrives, he leaves taking money from them or some sort of valuable item.

Rather than working hard and earning for his own family, he would rather plot ways to sabotage Meher's life. As of recent, he has been seen trying to use his second son Tillu, into tricking Tarun in taking part in gambling where they will deceive Meher into mortgaging the house.

Devki Purohit

Devki is Shyam's sister who took on the family's responsibility after Shyam had abandoned them. She played the role of a strict parent who provided discipline and a sense of order to the family. She is an independent, prideful, sacrificing and high-tempered woman. These qualities have all helped her in supporting the family thus far and has led her to become overly protective of them.

Tarun Purohit

He's Meher's younger brother, who has recently finished his studies. He does not have the desire to work too hard like her sister. Rather, he would like to follow music and become successful in the same manner that Abeer did. Despite the divorce, he still refers to Abeer as his Jeeju and maintains a friendly relationship with him.

Nisaar

He is a mutual friend of both Abeer and Meher. While he has known Abeer since childhood, he has only met and known Meher during college. Until recently, he has been living in Abeer's shadow, never truly giving his talent a chance to shine. It was until Meher had changed the time slots, that Nisaar had grown confidence in himself and in his music.

Ever since Meher came back into their lives, Nisaar has found himself stuck in between their friendship. Despite his strong and deep friendship with Abeer, he does not hesitate to tell him when he is wrong.

Regardless of the situation, or of who's right or wrong, he is there to be a friend to whoever needs one.

Rati

Rati is a shy fan girl who has huge crush on Nisaar. Working in the same channel with him, has led her crush to grow into an infatuation. Her desire to see Nisaar reach great heights leads her to act irrationally and dangerously towards her colleagues who might contradict her.

Sasha

Sasha is mutual friend of Meher, Abeer and Nissar as they had all studied together in college and were roommates.

She's also the one who confronted Abeer in whether or not he was truly over Meher and moved on.

Satish Sahani
He is the founder of Groove music channel where Abeer, Meher and Nisaar work. He is quite fond of Abeer as he considers him to be their pot of gold. He has constantly stated that the whole channel runs on the income that is earned through Abeer's show.

He is easily stressed out and tends to ramble when his blood pressure goes high.

'Sometimes people come into your life, for a moment, a day or a lifetime. It doesn't matter how long they stay. What matters is how they impact your life.'

Every person is special and every relationship changes us for the better in some way or the other. Even Badtameez Dil has special relations like these, some which we see in real life like nisaar-abeer, nisaar-meher or some which we wish we had in real life be it a mother in law like madhavi or suman. Come lets explore the world of beautiful and a little badtameez relations together.

*** *** ***

~Abeer-Meher~

-Teri Meri Banti Nahi, Par Tere Bina Meri Chalti Nahi-

They cant live with each other. They cant live without each other. They are mad for each other. They make each other mad. They are crazy. They are unique. And they make you fall in love every time you see them together. They are none other than #HumareMehBeer. Despite being away for 8 years their love never went away, every moment is fresh for them like it just happened. They show they hate each other, but every time they forget themselves to save the other. Be it meher distracting abeer in the ATM, abeer saving meher from drowning in the pool or abeer sacrifising himself to save meher from the goons. Our MehBeer for sure give a new definition to the love-hate relationship and we are loving every bit of it 😆

~Abeer-Tunnu~

-Sari Khudai Ek Taraf Joru Ka Bhai Ek Taraf- 😉

For tunnu Abeer is his idol, his rockstar and someone whom he want to become like. Abeer is like an elder brother to tunnu who can help him with his career and set right goals for life. Tunnu and Abeer also hold one thing in common and that's music. May, be the fact that Tunnu loves music is coz of Abeer. I like it when Tunnu in all ways supports Abeer. There is no right or wrong when Abeer does something, at least for Tunnu! When tunnu is wrong Abeer scolds him liek an elder brother. Abeer Corrects him in everything wrong he does, and support in everything right he wants to do. Only an elder brother can do that right? #AbTu bonding is cute and loving.

*** *** ***

~Nisaar-Meher~

-Ye dosti hum nahi todenge-

With Nisaar and Meher, i always feel that they are loyal friends. They can rely on each other for any help. In spite of being Abeer's bff, he still is always there for meher in a way. A friend with whom Meher is comfortable sharing her talks, with whom she can vent her frustration out. Nisaar's care for Meher and all the respect he holds for her as a woman is beautiful. Caring, loving and understanding is #MeSar all about!

*** *** ***

~Abeer-Nisaar~

-Tu hai toh i'll be alright-

Do Jism ek jaan is the best saying that would go well with these two new BFF's in town! These two have known each other for life and are still going strong. Every part of life, every emotion of life and every phase of life , these two have been there for each other. Nisar supports Abeer in everything right he does and stops him when he is wrong. They fight throwing chappals and is the most cutest way of fighting. But someone else comes in to hurt them , no ways would these spare those people. They taunt each other, also they praise each other. Abeer loves Nisar but doesnt express it that easily, however his one hug to Nisar proves it how much he loves his bff. Nisar never wold like to compete with Abeer, keeping in mind that Abeer has done so much for him in life which he can never re-pay. #Nibeer is the most unique friends on television . Friend in need is a friend indeed, this saying goes well with these two.

*** *** ***

~Madhvi-Suman~

-Humare Meher Abeer Milenge- 🤣

These two are the most adorable mummies on television right now.Inspite of the bad relationship their kids share , these two are calm and composed. They share a friendship and live in a land of their hopes and dreams. Dreams about their kids being one again! They understand and their kids well and also understand their jamai/bahu as well. One could always wish to hav a mummyji like them which is quite a rare scene today. They have all their faith and hope in god that one day their kids will live togeter again happily. #SuVi are the most favourite maa's and sasuma's on tv.

*** *** ***

~Suman-Abeer~

-Chanda Hai Tu, O Mera Suraj Hai Tu, O Meri Ankho Ka Tara Hai Tu-

Related as jamai and sasuma, these are no less than son-mom jodi. Abeer holds high respect for suman. He loves her equally as he loves his own mom. She knows him in and out. She trusts him and his every actions. She loves his one liners too ;) She has a blind faith in Abeer that no matter what he does, he will do it for Meher's betterment. Past can never be changed but she does

know that present Abeer is no way in any wrong intentions to hurt Meher. He is here to protect her daughter and to be there for her. She loves Meher, but does eqyally love Abeer. She cant see him in danger nor in pain. He loves her how she cares for him, how she understands him and his hug to his mummyji is the cutest hug ever! Our favourite jamai-sasuma jodi #SuBeer

*** *** ***

~Madhvi-Meher~

-Ek baar jo maine commitment kardi [bahu maan liya] toh mai divorce papers ki bhi nahi sunti- 🤣

How she wants her daughter-in-law back in her son's life. Madhvi never has anythin negative to say about Meher. She knows her son is naughty and is always bound to irritate her DIL. She supports Meher and is happy that Meher today is strong and independent. Madhvi is proud that her DIL today is a working woman, CEO of a company. In today's world its really hard to see MIL's being proud and trusting their DIL's more than their son, But this jodi is again unique. Meher still calls her Maa. She always makes sure she reminds Abeer that she is his EX-WIFE but when it comes to Madhvi , she is still her MAA whom she love, care, adore and respect! #MeDhvi is one in a million MIL-DIL jodi!

We all have different preferences and likes/dislikes. It doesn't matter if we hate Shyam, are annoyed by Bua or if Rati gives us a psycho stalker-ish vibe. The one thing the whole forum unanimously agrees on is that MehBeer are Love ❤️ They make us mad with their chemistry and sad with their pain. We have felt every emotion of theirs from day 1 through day 50. So let us re-live the Mehbeer ishhtory with a little tadka with MehBeer themselves narrating it. 😉

--------
Abeer is sitting in his recording room, playing his guitar singing Mere Nishaan. The only thought in his mind how his life had turned upside down in a matter of few weeks.

"I was so happy in my own world, with my music and my friends. But no she had to ruin my peace of mind by coming back in my life that too like my BOSS." He sighs in frustration. Meher walks in smirking.

"Of course I had to come Abeer. After all, I need to settle the score for all the times you bothered me. Like right now." Meher said with a sugary smile plastered on her face. Within moments, the smile faded back to a stern smile and her eyes glared at Abeer. "Stop your bullshit and get back to work."

"Me bothering you? Oh hello YOU came to my office. YOU changed my time-slot. Acha khasa ja raha tha mai company chodkar but you just couldnt stay without me could you. That is why you stopped me." He finished pointing his finger at her clearly irritated at how she could always blame him for everything. "And BOSS i was working. you came in to disturb me." He completed with his trademark smirk.

"So typical of you to forget the important details. Don't forget Abeer ke sab se pehle meri zindagi mein TUM aaye the. YOU'RE the one who picked me up and threw me in water. YOU'RE the one who approached me to be a part of your band. YOU'RE the one who invited me to the party and almost got me expelled. And please, let's not forget that YOU'RE the one who extended the first hand for friendship. If you had just let me be then we wouldn't be here today. Mein apne raaste hoti aur tum apne." Meher paused, as she tried to prevent herself from being swayed away by the past. "And the decision to keep you back wasn't just mine. Sattu Sir peeche pare hue the issi liya karna para. Besides, jisse tum kam keh re ho na, woh actually ek tamasha hai. And if you're so keen on telling stories, at least get the facts right."

"Wow baby," He took pleasure for a second in calling her with the old endearment before continuing. "It's good to know that you remember all the FACTS so clearly kuch bhi nahi bhuli na tum mere baare mei. Main hun hi aisa." He winked at her enjoying this. "But since we are talking about FACTS let me remind you of one- Tumne phasaya tha mujhe apni 'bechari abla nari' wale natak se and then when you had me, YOU were the one who broke our marraige, YOU signed the divorce papers all for the stupid 2.5 crore alimony given by my father." It was hard to talk about the past but he had to remind her since she bought it up.

Meher's heart skipped a beat as he called her with the old endearment. Still, she slowly took in deep breaths, so that her emotions didn't betray her.

She rolled her eyes as Abeer once again gloated about how great he is.

"OH JUST SHUT UP ABEER! Jab dekho ek hi baat ki raat lagaye rehte ho." Meher shouted. Pointing a finger at him, she bit out, "Don't forget ki sab se pehle tum mujhe chod kar gaye the. And I wasn't the only who signed the papers. You did as well. And let's not forget the most important fact, that it was YOU who signed them first. YOU were the one who took the first step to break our marriage. You just didn't have it in you to face the difficult times. Running away is what you know best and that's exactly what you were about to do a few days ago. In fact, that's what you're doing now." Meher spoke. "This story that you're narrating is all fabricated and it's all one-sided. It's a lie Abeer. You're twisting the facts and making yourself look good and me bad because that's just how you see it. Just to gain some sympathy and to have everyone hate me just as you do, you're putting me as the bad guy. Well guess what Abeer, even I can do the same. Agar meine apna moonh khol diya na, then you'll be the one who's hated."

"Ek hi cheez kitni baar repeat karogi Meher. You don't remember that I came to convince you, that I begged you to take me back do you." His eyes lost their spark, the memories were too painful, so he changed the topic to more bearable things. "Tum aayi thi nashe mei boys hostel - FACT. You stayed with me, Nisaar and Sasha in our house - FACT. And get this straight just because you helped me by helping Elton sir, don't think I have forgotten everything else you did. I made Nisaar agree for the new show humara hisaab barabar."

"Baate repeat sirf mein ni kar rahi Abeer, tum bhi kar rahe ho." She pointed at him. Crossing her arms, Meher said, "Everything changed but yeh tumhara mujhe humiliate karna nahi badla, and that too for no fault of my own. First getting me drunk, and almost getting me expelled from college, then being forced to live with you in the same house before marriage, then you putting up a tent outside of my house for three whole days and humiliating me..." She steeled herself trying hard not to show how his actions effected her. "Humiliate karna toh tumne aaj tak nahi choda. Coming to my house drunk at midnight, to tell me its over?" She clapped her hands together sarcastically. "What a novel way to tell someone you are over them."

"Oh wow," Abeer raised his eye brow in amazement. "Ab hostel ki deewar girna bhi meri hi galti thi. I never told you to come and stay with me Miss Meher Purohit. Tumhara bas chale toh tum global warming ko bhi meri hi galti bataogee. And just so you know I was drunk, nashe mei galtiyan ho jati hai. It's not like I was going around 8 years with your name tattooed on me." His expression softened as the memory of her tattoo and how she had gotten it for him came back.

"Ek nishaan ko mitha ni saki, iska yeh matlab ni ki baki sab cheezo ko bhulana ni chahti. Woh jo tumne bar bar it's over ki raat lagayi thi tumne.. forcefully taking me to an award function and finding ways to always be around m, is that termed as getting over me in your dictionary?" Her heart jumped at the thought for a second, maybe he still had feelings for her underneath those piles of hate he tried to throw at her every chance he got.

He raised his hand to stop her right there. She was dangerously close to the truth.

"Eh hello, apne aap ko itni importance mat do thik hai. That award function was only to show you that you were wrong about my dreams, to show you how far I have come and how much I have achieved. Everything would have been fine if you hadn't messed things up as always by falling in the pool and going away alone at night. Tumhari wajah se mai us ATM mei lock hua tha." A faint smile echoed on his lips remembering the memory but he hid it before she could catch it.

Meher caught the ghost of a smile and tried hard to keep herself from smiling as well. The proximity that she had created through the dance to keep Abeer's claustrophobia at bay, still sent goosebumps through her every vein. She shook her head to clear away the recent memories.

"Dekho Abeer, hum uss ATM mein sirf tumhari vaja se lock hue the. If you had just let me be or at least kept your fuel tank full then we wouldn't have had to go that stupid place in the first place! Jahan tumhari zaroorat nahi hoti wohi par tumhe apni tang lada ni hoti hai."

Abeer rolled his eyes. "As always tumhe kabhi apni galti dikhti hi nahi, you were the one who locked us out of the car in the first place. Tumhe humesha mujhe harane ki padi rehti hai meher, no matter what the cost. Iseeliye to tumne pure office ke saamne humare divorce ki baat bata di, and you didnt even blink." He couldn't stop the pain in his eyes while mentioning the bitter memory.

Meher fisted her hands trying to get a grip of herself, "Abeer you bring out the worst in me. You can't blame me for something you forced me into. You always land me in trouble. Just like how you got into the fight with the goons in the mall."

She always got him wrong, nothing new this time. Abeer rolled his eyes at her blaming him. "Meine tumhe un gundo se bachaya tha ok. Ek nahi 3 baar bachaya tumhe. And uss Pinky bhai se kitni maar bhi khayi thi tumhare chakkar mei. Bhalai ka to zamana hi nahi raha." He sighed as he walked away not giving her a chance to retort.

Here is to the moments that have left a permanent 'nishaan' on our hearts and minds. Which made us go 'awww' or 'nahiii', Which made people around us think we are retards 🤣 But hey itni Badtameezi to banti hai 😉 Lets re-live those special 5 moments ❤️

5.

" Divorce pati patni ke beech hota hai, maa aur bacho ke beech nahi"

Saas-Bahu dramas are the bread and butter of the trp aunties and a saas tormenting a bahu is the new in' thing -_- . But our saas-bahu pair of badtameez dil are a little hatke so their interaction is bound to be special.

The scene we have selected here is when madhvi comes face to face with meher for the first time after 8 years, the warmth, love and mutual respect between the pair of saas-bahu was admirable. It was heart warming to see madhvi not letting meher touch her feet in public because of her position and seeing them have lunch together.

***

4.

Nisaar and abeer are the epitome of friendship. They are different as chalk and cheese, while nisaar is calm, mature and composed abeer thinks from the heart and follows his impulses. Yet they have stood by with each other through thick and thin for 8 years and thats what makes their bond real special.

The NisBeer scene that has stood out in the whole show we feel is the one after the goons' of pinky bhau truamatize the whole of groove office. Nisaar and abeer have had their share of fights and differences of opinion over meher by then, but still when the goons break nisaars guitar he lets his companion of 8 years be sacrificed to keep abeer safe and then runs to abeer to hug him because only abeer can comfort him in this grief. It was a truly heart warming moment depicting true friendship.

***

3.

"Agar Mai Tumhara Dil Nahi Janti Toh Tumhe Kabhi Yaha Rehne Nahi Deti"

This is one saas-Damad Jodi that has all of us cheering for them. Every interaction of theirs is a joy to watch. It is more like watching a mother and son and not a son-in-law and mother-in-law, so definitely their scene had to be among the best scenes in BD.

Meher and abeer have been separated for 8 years yet the warmth and love abeer-suman share is something too beautiful for words. Thus the scene after meher and abeer have a fight about their past when suman consoles abeer is a winner for us. When suman comes to a distraught abeer and tells him she knows his heart and understands the reason why he is in the house it was like abeer had finally found someone who understands him and trusts him and the answering smile he gave suman was evidence of that.

***

2.

"Mai dil ke akhri kone se meher ko napasand karta hun, lekin iska matlab ye nahi hai ke koi meher ko aankh uthake dekhega aur mai use chod dunga, kaath kar phek dunga agar kiseene meher ya uske parivar ko haath lagane ki koshish bhi ki toh"

Abeer has always been shown as the impulsive, immature guy who does stuff first and thinks about them later. Thus this scene of abeer and madhvi has definitely stood out for all of us surely. It paints abeer in a completely different light and we haven't been able to have enough of this scene ever since.

The scene we are talking about is the one where madhvi comes to talk to abeer after she comes to know that he is staying at mehers house. We all knew abeer had come to the house for meher but his justification just made us all go awww' that is our hero ❤️

***

1.

"Jab tumhe dar laga tum bua ke paas ja sakti thi, ma ke paas ja sakti thi, Tunnu ke paas ja sakti thi, par tum mere paas aayi kyun? Rehne do kyunki iska jawab tumhara aur mera dono ka dil janta hai"

Because best scenes just cannot be complete without their mention. This is the most difficult scene to choose because its MEHBEER. Like every scene of theirs is chemistry overload. But this one scene/ sequence stands out among them all. Abeer saves meher from the goons again but instead of being grateful meher goes on about how she doesn't need him. But our hero doesn't give up easily does he. He plans an elaborate scary movie' sequence just to make meher realise how much she doesn't need him. And she came running into his arms first thing. This MehBeer confrontation was one of the most intense scenes of Badtameez Dil and it was truly a every fangirl's dream to watch.

Kabhi kabhi mere dil mein khyal aata hai. Kya aata hai? Well, kuch pyaare se, meethe se, khushi bhaare se khyal aate hai. Kyun aate hai? Well, yeh show hi itni pyaara ki raat bhar bas, issi ke baare mein sochte rehte hai. Aur iss deewangi ka shukriya karne ke liye, aap aage parhayi.

To Pearl V. Puri

Dear Pearl,

There's something about you which entices us to want to watch you again and again even when the episode had ended. Your charming personality has us rooting for Abeer day in and day out regardless of the badtameezi he does! Your cute but naughty smile, which brings a smile on to everyone's face.

You've grown so much as an actor ever since your first episode. The way you portray the character of Abeer is so realistic, it has now become a household name in a matter of weeks and it continues to grow each passing day.

Not only that, you're sizzling chemistry with Asmita has people going crazy over the pairing. The friendship (ma sha Allah) you both share is worth praising a fine example for many people. The comfort you have with each other reflects on your onscreen performance which is so absolutely flawless be it a scene done alone or with your Co stars.

Further more, your 'weird' interests and hobbies make us even more curious about you. Snakes have many running the other way, but thanks to you even fan girls would run towards snakes. LOL. Many would wonder how you can live on a salad diet but you have proved that anything is possible if you put your mind to it.

In the last 50 episodes we have seen many shades of Abeer in the future we will see much much more.

In short amount of time you guys have made a place for yourself in many people hearts. The love people have for you continues to grow day and night and I pray this show continues to be a huge success around the world.

You are oh so beautiful to start with. You charm us with your elegance and the way you carry yourself as Meher. its totally realistic and just how a contemporary working women carries herself. Your eyes are so captivating while they emote every expression with ease and excellence.

we love your on screen and off screen chemistry with pearl and abeer respectively. its very refreshing to watch mehbeer on screen and you guys are just too cute offscreen.

your swag as meher is very charming and sexy at the same time meher gives this innocent homely feeling too which, is commendable.

To Suyyash Rai

Dear Suyyash,

You are an excellent actor! Your voice modulations in scenes make the scene more real and suttle and pleasant.

Your voice! Oh my god that voice! its just so so so soothing and captivating and romantic all at once. Dying to hear more from you. 'gaane tere, mere jeene ki dua' *dreams*

Your scenes with Meher are so natural and serene. On the other side your scenes with abeer are so hearthwarming. Love NisBeer. Nisaar and Abeer together are the perfect portrayal of best friends for life. The ones who can laugh and do silly things and yet punch each other in the face but, are ready to die too. Loving the Bromance. Keep it brewing ;)

5 Reasons Why Meher is a Mothereffin BOSS

*Credit of the gif's to the respective makers* :)

1.

Independent Women:

Let's start with the obvious shall we?
Needless to say, Meher is the strongest female lead I've personally ever seen in Indian Television. With her position as CEO of a Groove by 30 and providing for a household dependent on her, she's really sticking a giant middle finger to Indian TV "heroine" conventions 😆. Not to mention the fact that she's not afraid to take authority when she goddamn deems necessary, even Sattu's afraid of her. 😆

2.

Human:

But she does remind us that despite her queen status and innate flawlessness, she too is human.

One of the things I love about her the most is that she can't be slotted into an overused staple "character type." She's not "nerdy girl who falls for hot shot of the college" because she's shows us that she's so much more than that, she shows us how difficult it is for her to get used to this whole "social life" thing. She's not "heartbroken shrew turned bitchy boss" because she shows us the wonderful yet broken human being that she is inside. She isn't flat, she isn't one-dimensional, she can't be slotted. She's a real person with virtues but vices too, flaws and vulnerabilities but rationality and humility too. Meher gives us a 360, a 3-dimensional character we can relate to, rather preaching "aarti, puja, and selflessness to the point of idiocy" is the way to be. She's human and she shows us that it's ok to be one too.

3.

So not Mopey:

Sit down Star Plus, let Meher show you what "Nayi Soch" is all about. So what did she do after the divorce? She showed up 8 years later AS HIS BOSS. #Burnt. Now though we don't know details of the divorce, I think it's safe to say this is not a typical TRP-aunty Bahu in Meher's shoes would: weep, sob, cry, cry louder, cry some more, dramatically break her bangles, and then proceed to blame herself for everything (because hello men are never EVER wrong, #TVSerialPatriarchy). Your average TV bahu would do a million and one other things but would never go back to working at her dream for HERSELF like Meher did. She worked her ass off to get where she is today not to get back at anyone, not to belittle anyone, not to prove herself to anyone, but purely out of the will to go and achieve her dreams. #WhatDoesn'tKillYouMakesYouStronger #LifeGoals 😆

4.

Survivor of a "Tragic Past":

Indian TV Heros could learn a thing or two from her

And any emotional baggage is a licence to be a complete and utter asshole to anyone you want right? And as much as we love these Indian TV anti-hero heros, we have to admit, this "tragic-past" justification for literally anything gets extremely irritating. And after watching some of these shows, where a character has had a "tragic past" I was lead to believe it was nearly impossible to come out of this syndrome without a royally effed up personality. That was until I met a survivor--Meher. Having a waste of space like Shyam as a father is more than enough reason to get emotionally scarred. Hesitant she was, but she didn't use her past as a license to treat everyone like shit. Nor did it keep her from going out without and tasting what the world had to offer. She dared to take Abeer's hand, she dared to dream of a blissful forever, and she dared to fall in love. Rather than weakness, having the guts to follow your heart (especially in Meher's case considering her father) is act of sheer bravery. Take notes Indian TV heros.

5.

Unapologetic

She fell in love. Though it ended in heartbreak, she wasn't ashamed of it. Regardless of what she said, Meher showed us that the most important thing in life is to be true to yourself. She was in love with Abeer Malhotra at one point...and she still was. 8 years is plenty of time to decide if you want to get a tattoo removed, but like they say actions speak louder than words.

7 Things More Useful than Shyam

1.

A Mop

Because you can hit creeps (like Shyam) with it. And give him a character cleanse while you're at it.

2.

This Sign

Because at least it isn't going around being married to two people at once. Asshole.

3.

Ekta Mausi

I'll take 27 poonar-janams and plastic surgeries over the pathetic waste of space we know as Shyam. And hey at least TRP aunties will have something to do with their sad uneventful lives, vicariously living out their wildest fantasies via 10-hour long eye locks and ghisse pitte trip-fall-catch sequences (#HayyeSoNaughty).

4.

This Broken Vending Machine

Though it eats your money without giving you a drink, at least it doesn't go around trying to pathetically extort cash from it's once-in-laws. Seriously so desperate chee.

5.

This guy.

(*Sung to the notes of Unchi Hai Building*)
Squeaky hai singing *irritating middle tune* Chori ke gaane hai *irritating middle tune* But Shyam ke aage *irritating middle tune* Tu bhi bhagwan hai.

6.

Hell even this guy.

Go ahead Sajid Khan, make Humshakals 2. The IQ decay induced by his films is still MUCH better than tolerating that vomit-inducing "doting" husband.

7.

Literally Anything.

Because anything's better than that creepwa. 🤣 Though we have to give it to the Badtameez Dil writers for creating such an "unmatchable" and "undefeated" antagonist. 😆
