You are misinformed there my friend- a girl has indeed won a title in a Indian reality musical show...

Her name is Sanchita and she won the Zee SRGMP Lil champ winner title....😛

It happened in C05 and history most likely will repeat itself again, unless the public knows what real talent is and votes to keep Poonam in. Realistically no girl will ever win Challenge due to the fact mainly of the voting. Take for example, Raja, Aneek and Amanat when they give stellar performances, all are given opportunities to perform once again with all or most of the gurus on stage to support them. I would say that's happened about 25% of the entirety of this show when the girls have given fanstatic performances.

You won't see the girls jumping around on stage like Aneek and is that wrong? Hype up the crowd with your talent. Great singers like Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhosle, Alka Yagnik are never seen prancing around at thier concerts, but that never stops it from being fantastic.

Challenge 05 we got the opportunity to listen to Nihira, Himani, Swananda, Ujjani. This time it's Poonam and Sumedha. Are any of these girls lacking talent to win the competition? Especially Nihira and Poonam IMO would be tough contenders in the old SRGMP format which was the genuine programme to find great singers, not this making money, money and more money stupid reality show. If Shreya, was on C07 she would have gotten eliminated long before the boys and is that fair to any of the girls.

We all know this is a doctored show,so I've learnt from C'05 when my blood pressure spiked when Nihira and Hemachandra were ousted long before they were supposed to. Do what I do listen to the performances, enjoy the show and when Himesh is talking, put the TV on mute.

Those peformers who were eliminated before their time ie Sumedha,Harpreet and Mussarat (I'm hoping Poonam makes it to the finals) they've got great careers ahead of them and they can look back one day and laugh at this great facade called SRGMP Challenge series.

anfiwyn, I agree with much of what you said.

On the bright side of the dark side, they all get exposure on a much larger scale due to reality show hype, that they otherwise would not have, they develop fanbases across the world, etc. - it increases their chances of getting work in the music industry, doing stage shows, getting picked up for other Zee programming, etc. - so in the short term, it still does them some good, though to what extent, if any, it increases their long-term chances of becoming established playback singers is questionable and remains to be seen. The real underlying value of SRGMP, version 2.0 (reality show) really isn't so much in winning the contest, it's just a platform for young talent to get as much mileage out of the exposure they are getting, while they can, before they get eliminated.

I heard that girls vote more than boys so that could be one reason 😆 But we had Sanchita as the winner of L'il champs. 😊

Winning as part of a duet or as a child singer does not count, in terms of what we have been discussing here. The SRGMP Challenge series (not the Lil Champs or Ek Me Ek Tu) according to the way it is promoted, is supposed to yield individuals who are old enough and talented enough to take a stab at playback singing for major Bollywood films right now.

Poonam gone..

Three male singers left to fight it out..

It will be very boring programe without any female singer. At this point I don't care who wins. If all females are booted out in each and every contest. I will stop watching the show..😡

There were always anough female talent available to make it to the top. But half way through the chanlange most of them were eliminated. But most of them eventually made it big. And thats what matters.

Sanchita sang a song for bollywood didn't she?😕
