He's not doing so, he respects Shi's feelings because he knows how it feels to be loved and not loved by the person you love. Shi can feel the same thing without any outside influence but he's not. His self-righteous attitude and dumbness hardly makes him think beyond himself.

Shikher will not feel guilty if u saw my answer! I said if Ishani who loves Ranveer so called so much (Yes I still hv my doubts abt Ishanis' love! Hers is fluctuating like a pendulum!) can give him so much pain (Excuse me the single soul two bodies funda) and still be committed to her promise to Shikher and is ready to go back to Shikher even though she knows that Ranveer in all probability will die if she leaves him again, then why can't Shikher? He will not feel any guilt! Why would he!
Pls excuse me, this is too much to expect from Shikher! He is NOT RANVEER!
