Ismail Durbar is quite a player himself!

Ismail Durbar, being what he is a very melodious music director himself, is the most egotistical and chaalak judge among them all.

I remmeber him from couple yrs ago, he always only his contestants to win, his ego is hurt very easily, he walks out like a child easily and makes fun of others if they do the same, these are not bad points, except that he acts like a saint all the time. Even when he asked Amamnat to apologise he said that so that Ammanat can get votes, also he acts as if his people ar ethe best and the pthers are not. Mark my words he is the most chaalak of them all.

Himesh may talk too much but he is not half as cunning as Ismail Durbar!!!!

I don't think so. I think that Ismail Durbar is an extremely sensible musician. He doesn't say much, but behind the scenes he really does aid his contestants and truly helps them improve. That's why his contestants are the best of the lot. Same with VS, they help their singers out a lot. HR and Bappi are always talking/singing and engaging in ludicrous behavior while their contestants suffer. I also think that even ID does give "poore dus" to all the contestants his comments are very well-defined. He knows what he's talking about. And you can usually tell from his behavior if he actually enjoyed the performance or not. But I will agree on one thing, he was really stupid last week when he made Amanat apologize for no reason.

I think you are being unfair to Ismail. He has repeatedly said to Aneek - 'Malik kare tu jeet ja'. He is a simple man and speaks his heart. I like him.

I like him. He also passed really nice remarks for Mussarat's performances as well, like, 1) sabne achcha aya but isne sabse achcha gaya. kal bhi iska gana sabse achcha tha, 2) rules change karein kya (when Mussarat was in bottom 2 with Harpreet and HR was saying that he thinks Mussarat may be eliminated 🤢 )

Now please don't bash ismail ji. He is such a sweet heart..... 😛

ID was the best mentor in C2005, and still is. In C2007, he has lost some of his earlier spark, and seems to be too much aligned with HR (pity!!)

ID has always praised other gharana contestants, or at least his comments to them are very tempered. His own students get the full brunt of his feedback, but then he takes them and makes them 100x better than before.

He seems to be a very emotional person who can't holdback his comments. He also seems to be the least scheming - he's very transparent! With his, WYSIWYG!


Anyway, that's my 2 cents!!

ID is a good Mentor and down to earth person.

I had said it in the start og SRGMP that all the mentors may try out tricks...... but ISMAIL will play the tricks in the end to win.... i agree he is chalaak.....

his best chalaaki is that he has told Amaanat to always deny the love story on stage, while Amaanat talks freely in the videos that are presented... also he told amaanat to make faces to get the janta against HR 😛 ...... he took the benefit of the love story the other way...... 😛
