I'm sure Amrita knows about this and is ok with it.

Also I'm sure kids tell her mom about this and IF doesn't tell her about this.

I'm glad they gel so well with bebo and Bebo treats them like friends.

Someone can be a great role model and go to bars and drink, as long as it is done responsibly.

Sara going to bars with Stepmom Bebo is better than Sara going to bars and getting drunk with irresponsible friends.

I think in drinking still has a somewhat negative connotation in some desi mindsets.

Why else would it suddenly be inappropriate to drink without your parents around, but not with your parents?

Why is it ok to go out drinking and partying with friends, but you can't have a safe drinking environment with your stepmom?

I think it's coz people view it as a negative experience altogether.

But in Kareena, Saif, Amrita, Sara's world, it's NOT. Clearly.

These are just some useless taboos set by the society

I see nothing wrong in it

she isn't brain washing the kids..isn't ruining the bond they have with their mother. Isn't demanding alone time with hubby in fact she seems more keen than saif to hang out with his kids like friends..i only sense positive energy in it and plus they aren't kids anymore..sara is above 20 and mature enough to go get a drink for herself..so really don't get the backlash here at all

Just because one does bar hopping, does not make them Bewri, or whatever you called it.

Drinking only has negative connotation for females in desi mindsets. So many men drink a lot in desi culture.

I think the response to Ibrahim (at the age of 21) going to bars with his Dad would be much different than Bebo and Sara.

Meh. Lots of people start drinking wine in the their late teens years in Europe and that too at the dinner table with their family. It goes well with the food,lol.

It's only a taboo if you make it one. A glass of wine once in a while won't hurt.

I'm not into hard drinks and hate the taste of beer but I do enjoy a glass of white wine once in a while.

Love the bonding between Bebo and Sara. Nothing wrong in going to a bar when Sara is at legal age to drink. Just because they are going to bar it doesn't mean they get drunk.
