Do I need to say about the cuteness and lightheartedness of the episode.. Guess, not, everyone of us in the forum are raving about it for the last 19 hours or so...
Probably I wouldn't be able to stop myself from dropping a word or two about the absolute brilliance of the episode. (anyone who have read my posts before, would know I could never stop at a word or two at anything ;)). But this post is not about what was shown, but what was implied..
The one thing I liked most about the episode... Kabir & Ananya both made some big statements yesterday, not exactly by words. And I think it defines the pattern & future of their relationship.
What defined Kabir of first 45 episodes is his determination to make a mark for himself in the world of journalism and his channel's ratings (which inturn a stepping stone for his success). He is an obsessively ambitious man. Yes, he never compromised on his integrity for this success, he always pursued the truth, but where Ananya pursued truth for the sake of truth itself, Kabir pursued it for his own personal gains too. That was one of the major differences between them. Every case shown highlighted this aspect of his personality. He had always hounded after big news, and he never shied away from marketing them in pursuit of glory.. He had never hidden his power hungry ways, more than once Ananya had been a witness of this side of his. Even during the hostage track, he mentioned about it, how he sensed that there is a huge story there and how he couldn't stop from pursuing it. That Kabir for whom nothing matters more than his professional success, is no longer visible. Now Ananya is his first & foremost priority. He did say it in words on Friday confession, about how he is ready to give up anything & everything for her, and he proved it already by action.. I don't know about you guys, but I never thought Kabir left the conference without making his speech or that he let his glory pass on to his biggest rival inside the channel. I assumed he came back after the speech or he will go to the conference again after the confession for the speech, but this man completely taken me by surprise. His professional glory is not his prime concern anymore and he's even willing to hand over or share the glory with Manav. It brought back memories of how irked and upset he was when Ananya worked with Manav, he couldn't take sharing Ananya (or her professional skills) with Manav, but has no issues sharing this honour (according to Malvika, only few people were invited to give speech in the conference). Do we need any more proof of Ananya's value in his life? I don't...
Now to Ananya.. I was one of the very few who wanted Ananya to apologise to Kabir for those hurtful words she used against him, but she went one step ahead and given him something much more valuable than an apology, her blind trust. There can't be anything more precious (other than her love, of-course) for this complex, vulnerable man.. This is one gesture which has the power to heal the past wounds and calm the insecurities. And Ananya didn't say that she trust him not to have committed any wrongdoing in the past.. She said she only wants to know the man he is now and the man he could be in future.. That's a very interesting choice of words, I think it implies that Ananya won't give up on him even if he has some skeletons in his closet. I do think, just after confession is not the time to talk about past, but Kabir was right to bring up the topic too, he has to make it clear that no topics are taboo between them, including his past. They both were right, Ananya is right when she said why to worry about things we can't change, but it is also true our past shaped us into the kind of person we are now.. And past most often doesn't stay in past, in Kabir's case, his past with Tarini has spilled over his present too. Though Kabir conceded to her wish, I do think Kabir is smart enough to know that he has to lead her to important parts of his past, in small doses..
The glow in their faces, there are no words to describe it, they both were basking in the warmth of shared feelings, and Ananya was practically grinning ear to ear throughout the episode. I don't know how anyone can't guess what has happened ;), especially her best friends Richa & Ronnie.. Ronnie atleast got some hint later, but Richa remained oblivious throughout, she must be blind not to see what is written with neon lights ;). And Kabir practically declared infront of everyone that he asked Ananya to stay back, can't Richa understand even from that? Though Trisha made me laugh with her antics yesterday, Sunny was the cutest.. His persuasion of Kabir and Kabir asking 'really Sunny?' was funny, but also totally to their respective character and that aborted hug., you are mean one Mr. EIC, can't you spare one hug for this poor little Sunny when you are eager to indulge in so many with your stupid reporter ;), Ronnie is as always the wiser one, and he seemed to be really happy for his best friend, he was observing every nuances of Kabir's expressions closely and Ananya is anyway a open book :), and he dared to subtly tease Kabir with his 'you can do anything you wish, Sir' ;) and his knowing smile when Kabir with so much of reluctance accepted their request said it all. With Ananya, he could be a little bold in teasing, ;), but Ananya doesn't seem to have realised that he was pulling her leg, Ofcourse Ma'm wasn't aware of her surroundings ;).

I am not surprised with Malvika being blind though, she is too much of an egoistic to want to accept it, she might know it in the dark recess of her mind, but her arrogance won't let her believe it. Khalid is always the smart one, he had his day's share of fun at the expense of Kabir ;). He will be happy as long as Kabir delivers for his precious channel..
Loved the fact that Kabir never asked Ananya to hide their relationship, he only asked her to maintain their professional boundaries, which is actually a very sensible request, but our floating in love heroine can't just abide by that ;). Guess Ananya didn't want to share her news with her friends or family yet, probably because she just wanted to bask in the newness and freshness of it before inviting questions and concerns. And Kabir can't really share the news with Khalid or Malvika, it will certainly look like a conflict of interest when he asks to reinstate her, though she deserves her job back on her own merit. But I think very soon, Mr. Sharma will go public about his feelings, if not by words, atleast by action.
The floor scene was simple, natural and subtle romance. . The subtle hand gestures & body language were so in tune with the mood. The relaxed posture of sitting with thier heads leaning on to each other, the slight shoulder rubbing when Kabir put an arm over Ananya, and the intertwined fingers when they were laughing at the end, everything reeked of warmth & comfort. The bold & beautiful Ananya can't resist slight seductive act though ;). Kabir talking about her mother, a very nice thought, and goes on to prove that their relationship is never going to be superficial.

Makvika is a necessary evil, as for as Kabir is concerned, someone he has to tolerate becuase of her position as KL's daughter. But tolerating doesn't mean she will will have easy access in his personal life. Kabir will not let her control him, the phone convo is a message to her as well as us :)
The cheeky, bubbly Annaya is back, out of all her interactions, I loved her one with Malvika the most :). What a brazen approach.. Too good it was. And poor EIC, just can't control either his exasperation or his happiness in seeing the picture. Ananya is going to be his constant source of warmth, fun, love and also frustrations :). How much ever I enjoy this side of Ananya, I hope she get her act together soon and prove her mettle and her EIC's trust on her abilities.

Ananya made me believe that she will stand by Kabir no matter what. And I think if there's anyone is going to pull back, it will be from Kabir's side, not because of his lack of belief in their love, but because his past comes back to haunt him. He might try to go back to his cocoon, but hopefully Ananya won't let him do that. I have some hopes for Ronnie here, Ananya might get dejected with Kabir trying to pull back, but hopefully Ronnie will be her voice of reason (as always), make her see things in perspective, probably even a male's perspective and make her chase after Kabir.
Anyway, that's for sometime in future. For now, let's enjoy the fun ride and beautiful romance :).
