Behind the scenes of what happens when Nikolai returns home... 😆 This wouldn't be included in the updates. It is just an insight of what happens since I wanted to show a bit of his and Galina's relationship without interrupting the flow of the story.

"Nikolai waved at his people, a bright smile dancing on his face as he rode onto the palace grounds. He brought his horse to a stop in front of the palace and winked at his Lady wife who was waiting by the doors for him, his twin daughters standing on either side of her. As he dismounted his horse, he stooped to the ground when his daughters ran into his arms and he lifted them both off the ground and hugged them close.

"Papa you are back!" - Alessa exclaimed, Nikolai laughing at the enthusiasm in his daughter's voice.

"Yes my darling.." - he replied as he kissed the top of her head.

"Did you win the war, Papa?"- Alena enquired and he nodded with a bright smile before he kissed her cheek.

"Yes my little sweet. Your father won a great victory with the Lords of the four realms."

Alessa and Alena hugged him close before he lowered them to the ground and they ran back to their mother.

"MAMA, PAPA WON THE WAR!!" -they shouted at Galina as Nikolai approached her. He could see the relief and affection for him in her eyes and he ran his hand through his blonde hair with a teasing wink at her.

"Greetings my lover!" - Nikolai remarked as he came to a stop in front on her and pulled her into his arms- "Your lord husband has returned to you!" -his gaze traveled down to her lips, his smile growing brighter- "Aren't you going to welcome him home?"

Before he could say another word, Galina's hand landed across his face in an echoing slap and his head snapped to the side, his breath leaving him in a gasp.

"You are late!" Galina said accusingly and Nikolai grinned, his green eyes lighting up with mischief as he met his wife's accusatory blue eyes.

"Oh I missed you, my fiery Goddess.."- he crashed his lips against hers and lifted her off her feet as they deepened the kiss with raw passion, their daughters giggling at their amusing display."
