We as viewers can see she is ahead of Shreya but Ananya doesn't think she is due to the fact she knows so little of Kabir compared to the vast knowledge his ex wife has of him. It is very easy for Shreya to manipulate Ananya in this sorta like how Malvika is trying to do but Shreya holds more weight because Kabir HAD loved her quite a bit at one point and she was his wife. Also the fact she used to go to slum areas with him to visit kids means she isn't that horrible a person prehaps, I can't imagine Kabir being with someone more power loving as Malvika. The fact Kabir is still haunted by his ex means there was something about her so IMHO Ananya at the moment isnt at such a position to tackle his powerful ex wife, professionally or personally.

Which is why I feel Kabir needs to open up to Ananya so that she can be confident regarding the importance of their relationship in his life. All Ananya needs is assurance from his end that she is as special as the other people in his life. Actually even Kabir needs that assurance, that's the reason this entire MU began because they don't realize how much impact they have in each other's lives.

I agree that he is over his ex but he isn't quite over his past. He has some sort of guilt towards not being able to save his marriage and the fact he was driven to becoming quite the alcoholic means that his ex wife did have a major impact on him. He may not love her anymore but there are unresolved emotions there, he definitely did not get any closure on the basis of the haunting voices which seemed to hint that his ex-wife just upped and left after the Tarini case. The MAJOR difference between his ex and Ananya that Kabir needs to realize is the fact Ananya will NEVER EVER leave him, she will fight and defend him till the bitter end BUT this is ONLY possible if he opens up to her. We have seen how loyal Ananya is towards the truth, she has followed him for 8 years merely on blind faith so Kabir needs to realize just how trusting and loyal this woman would be to him if he just makes her realize that her faith in him isn't just one of a blind fangirl but rather because she knows him better than anyone else.

I am so sick of all angst and rona-dona. I want the cheerful, headstrong and hopeful Ananya back with the charismatic, brilliant and confident Kabir. I had such high hopes after the jungle track... sab pani me gaya.
The show is quite fast but they need to slow down a little to make the development and growth of these character and their relationship believable.
