Jigyasa Singh, who made her debut with Thapki Pyar Ki on Colors, is excited about the feedback she has been receiving on the show. She says, "My family is extremely proud of my work. I always wanted to be an actress, but coming from a small town (in Rajasthan), I didn't imagine I'd become this successful." The actress wanted to be a pilot in her teens. "Then I realised it isn't easy and you need to study a lot!" she jokes. She pursued a degree in mass communication and later moved to Mumbai for better opportunities.

The newcomer admits working for television isn't easy. She says, "Before I became an actress, I used to sleep till 10 am. Now I am working much more than I imagined I would. At times we shoot for 23 hours with barely any sleep." She plays the role of a reporter on the show. She says, "I play an intern in a news channel. Since I have studied mass communication, I didn't need to research much. I depend on the team to help me."

Jigyasa, who stammers in real life, says she is inspired by Hrithik Roshan. (The actor had a stuttering problem and overcame it). She says, "Hrithik converted his weakness into his strength. If you observe closely, he still stammers at times during interviews but on screen one won't realise it. He is definitely an inspiration."
