Hello everyone!!!I have always maintained that if Sam and Neil have a romantic relationship, it will not affect their friendship. And the past couple of episodes have reinforced my belief.
Lets go back a bit where Neil realised that he loves Sam. To me, it wasn't forced or abrupt. It was just him finally seeing the destination of the road he had been walking on since a long time. Like emerging from the dark, thick foliage of a forest into a flower-strewn meadow dappled by sunlight. Radhika's innocent remark triggered the storm of his feelings and he understood what he wanted. Friendship turned love realisations are usually this way. They just hit you unexpectedly and your world changes.
Then his confession. This was such a welcome change. Usually, there is denial, recriminations and what not. But it made so much sense that Neil, driven by the intensity of his new found feelings and the pain of seeing Sam with Arjun just blurted out the truth. This is because the base of their relationship is their friendship. Sam knows how to get stuff out of him and he can't help but share his feelings with her, like he has always done.
Then comes today's episode which was beautiful for a number of reasons. But mainly because of the way they showed Sam and Neil. They both know there are issues that need to be talked about. But in dire straits, Sam needed her friend back. And she got him. Without any question or consequence. That is the beauty of their relationship. Because their friendship is so strong, it will never take a backseat to anything, not even their own romantic relationship. It is this friendship that gives them the maturity to handle situations at hand and leave some issues for later. And it is this friendship that will see them through all tough times, including the upcoming tempest of their feelings.
