will read WU and be back
*** EDITED
because your post was a bit cryptic Leo😕, I had to go read the WU, and I wish I hadn't Now, I feel like ranting 😆 But this will fill up my monthly quota of ranting I hope 😳
What is/was the purpose of this track ? (forget the execution which our dear CVs were not always good at anyway)
1) to explore Ishita's insecurities in terms of physical intimacy
2) to establish Ishita as Adi's mother too, not just Ruhi's
3) to bring Ishita's past into the forefront,so we get an insight into her feelings
what we have now is a real khichdi of all the three, and added a tadka of the earthquake/fire and drama
3) Ishita's past ... ab kya bolun... apart from the fact that Subbu's personality is like a wet cardboard, he hasnt done anything yet that could even hint at Ishita's past stirring her emotions. I saw the episodes where she was extremely uncomfortable talking to him. I was actually impressed by it, but I wasn't prepared for what came next: the fact that, of all the people, they only found Ishita's ex as a suitable partner for the now single Simmi. So as of now, Subbu is just a guy (positive or negative doesnt matter)... and he isn't Ishita's past at all. if that's what they wanted to do, they could have created a new character, WHY Ishita's ex only ???
2) Saving children from fire is heroic, YES.In fact, putting one's own life in danger to save a child is indeed a sign of being superhuman. So I don't really have a lot to complain about with this one. I think they could have shown Adi's realisation without any drama (they didnt have to even remotely endanger child actors, and a lead who is injured and recuperating. this does look like 70s/80s movie scene). But I guess this timeslot does need this kind of drama ...
1) Ishita's insecurities are far from explored. So far, at best, it looks like she is shy... at worst, it looks like she doesnt completely understand Raman's eagerness to have the physical relations or is playing hard to get. while the best-case scenario makes her naive, the worst case scenario makes her look indifferent and borderline insensitive. I don't like either, because neither is the Ishita I started watching.
On a general note... Both Raman and Ishita, currently appear completely shallow (not in the usual sense of the word, but in the sense that there appears to be no depth any more to their characters). The CVs ruined all the build-up they did with Raman's past and his current personality... and they NEVER capitalized on what could have been an equally intriguing story with Ishita. So now, it appears to me like I am reading the story of a middle-aged couple facing the trials and tribulations of everyday life... except that even regular couples in everyday life don't deal with sautens, fires, earthquakes, kidnapping on such a regular basis.
I was going to say sorry for the long post using some good meme... but when I was searching I found this 🤣
