Hello Peeps. I know that it is not my day to provide a written update but I am on a mission. 😃
The scene starts with Gopi breaking through the glass window and falling to the ground below. Vidya screams out while Meera is dumbstruck. Ahem hears a shout and turns to see someone in slow motion falling. Gopi lands on a car with a sickening crunch before rolling off it and onto the road. Ahem realises that it is Gopi. Shouting her name he cradles her and tells her to open her eyes, nothing will happen to her.
Upstairs Vidya shouts at Meera who tries to deflect any blame.
Below! Ahem tries to revive Gopi and then picks her up heading for help. Vidya leaves the building with Meera hot on her heels and runs after Ahem. No cars are willing to stop. When eventually one does, it turns out to be Jigar and Paridi. They take Gopi to the hospital leaving Meera trying to excuse herself.
At chawl Kokila and family are eating. Kokila bites down in pain on a stone. She leaves from the table citing that she will eat when Gopi returns. She is unsettled.
Rashi can't sleep and goes to Kokila for comfort.
At the hospital Ahem finds a doctor and asks him for help. The doctor declares that Gopi is seriously ill to which Ahem replies "no shit!" Or words to that effect. I'm being sarky here. The doctor States the obvious. The doctor orders the nurse to get ready to operate.
Kokila tries to call both Gopi and Ahem but gets no reply she tells Rashi that when Gopi comes back they will both tell her off for being late.
The doctor readies Gopi for mri and ct scans but ahem does not want to leave. Vidya speaks to Ahem and finally he relents. As Gopi is being taken he remembers, in flashback the pandit tying a safeguarding thread on him and Gopi and sees that the thread has come off and is in his hands.
Jigar consoles Paridi, Vidya prays. The doctor comes out with his diagnosis and states that since falling from such a height Gopi has sustained severe head injuries. They will have to operate but cannot say if Gopi will survive or not. He asks Ahem to fill out some formalities.
Kokila is worried and asks Dhawal to call Ahem. Ahem is unable to speak so Vidya answers and says that everything is ok. Kokila feels a little at ease.
Jigar consoles a crying Vidya who says that Kokila should not know about this as she would not be able to handle Gopi's condition. She asks Jigar to be with Kokila and that it is better for now that she does not find out just yet. She comforts Paridi and tells her to be strong. Jigar goes to the chawl.
Mansi paces in the room fretting that Meera is not home yet and not answering her phone. Finally she gets through and finds that Meera is outside. She asks Mansi to meet her. Outside Meera tearfully hugs Mansi and tells her what happened, Mansi is shocked. Urmila overhears and arms herself. Mansi tells Meera that she never intentionally hurt anyone. Urmila comes along and starts beating both women. Mansi and Meera run from there.
Urmila has understood everything and mutters to herself that she needs to tell Kokila. Jigar arrives and requests her not to say anything to Kokila. Urmila is adamant and because she is becoming hysterical he hugs get. Tearfully Urmila agrees.
Kokila comes along and asks why Urmila is crying. Urmila cries and tells her the reason for her tears, that a character from her favourite serial is ill. Kokila consoles her. Seeing Jigar she explains how she cannot get through to Gopi and wants to know if Ahem, Vidya, Gopi and Meera met up. He says they did. Kokila is concerned about Meera's behaviour towards Gopi and wishes that all is well.
Ahem is pacing the corridor remembering all the harsh words he said to her. A lot of scenes are shown in flashback. He looks at the thread in his hands. Ahem and Gopi - in the operating theatre- are shown side by side.
Pre cap. The power goes out in the hospital just as the operation is due to start. The doctor calls for the back up generator but is told that it is broken. An orderly tells Vidya that it could take some time, an hour to fix.
