*The Betiyaan Weekly ~ Aug 31st ’07*

Laxmi adamantly states to Surya that if she is forced to marry Karan, then she will leave the house and go away. A hurt Karan then announces that he will leave town and will never come back. On his way out of town, he is accosted by some goons and beaten up. Laxmi and Hasmukh come to help Karan. Laxmi is then held by the goons. But later a badly hurt Karan gets up and fights the goons and saves Laxmi from them. The police arrest the goons and later they confess that Rasili was behind the attack on Karan. She is then arrested. Kajri comes to the Garodia house to get help from Yuvraj. But being under the close watch of his family, Yuv plays it safe and fakes his anger on Kajri and kicks her out. After such humiliation, Kajri vows to take revenge on Yuvraj. Laxmi feels bad for how she behaved with Karan and asks himto forgive her. An upset Karan decides to leave Rajpipla. Laxmi comes to know of this and goes to the railway station to catch him in time, b4 he leaves. When she doesn't find him there, and sees the train leave, she assumes that he left. But she is pleasantly later when she sees Karan, and happy to know that he didn't leave after all. She finally admits to him that she loves him, and is ready to marry her. Suryakant is happy to hear that Laxmi changed her mind and is now ready to marry Karan. Yuvraj tells Kajri that he is working at gettting all the Garodia wealth in his name. Kajri is excited to see that Yuvraj is falling for her yet again, and duping his family again for her. At home he messes with Menka's mind telling her that the family has begun treating them differently and that they have lost the respect they used to have b4. Menka is upset at all this and with rasik's help she manages to switch the original property papers in the tijori with fake ones. But as she was leaving the tijori room, she sees Suryakant. But covers up with a pretend story, and Surya believes her. Surya is worried when Karan's family doesn't show up for the shagum and mehendi. But Karan reassures him that all's fine. Later we see Karan is the mysterious guy with the cat in a dark big house, and he is shown speaking to the picture of his deceased dad that finally thier wishes are getting fulfilled as Laxmi is becoming th bahu of their family.
