Hamida Begum ! What's wrong with you?
Salim is surely under some spell these days.. :-P

Guys,
I could not hear most of the episode today.
Hence, i am trying to tell what i inferred.

1.
Salim-Anar talk in the horse stable.

2.
Jodha does Aarti of Jalal-Salim-Murad-Man Singh.
HB present on her side, still with her face in anger.
HB looked like a kid who gets offended at every small fault. :-P
She says to Jodha - Had you changed religion war would not have been there..
Jalal says to HB to be normal with Jodha and all.
He leaves with his soldiers.

3.
Voiceovers says - HB behaves badly with Jodha during the time, Jalal was away.

4.
Jalal gives speech to his soldiers the night before war.
He asks the soldiers not to kill the enemy soldiers but to fight for their defence. :-P
Murad gets irritated hearing this.
He says how can we win if we will not kill.
Salim says - As Shahenshah has said, we are fighting this war for NOT winning LAND but for our principles..

Jodha's letter arrives from Agra in Jalal's camp.
First it was Man Singh who was to send this letter to jalal.
But he gives this letter to Salim to be given to Jalal.

Salim gives the letter to Jalal.
First Jalal says that this is a secret letter and hence you can not read this. LOL
Salim was about to leave. :-P

Jalal says Wait.
I can not read, so please read this letter of my wife for me. :-P

Salim shies. ROFL.
But finally he reads - Jodha had written to Jalal about His well being , and also mentioned that jalal should tc of Salim. And also of other princes.

Last word in the letter was - I love you. ;-P
Salim says i dont understand this meaning.
Jalal says no problems , but i have understood. It was hilarious, i mean their expressions.😆

Guys this scene of Jalal and Salim was good.
Till now we got Jodha and Salim scenes. Today there was one Jalal Salim scene also.

Salim becomes happy seeing that, his mother thinks about him also. :-P
I feel these days Salim is surely under some spell. :-P .

6.
Back in palace.
HB is showing her Nakhras to Jodha.

Ruqs tries to mediate "cunningly" between Hb and Jodha to earn goodwill of both.
HB asks Ruqs to stop taking sides of Jodha..

Precap:
HB has invited the ambassadors of Shah-i-Iran to Mughal Court in Agra.
Jodha says - This is against the norms of politics, Ammi jaan. How can you do this ?

Bottomline:
A fine episode. At least not bad.
Jalal and Salim's scene was good.
And there was one speech of Jalal also..

New Promo:
Jalal says -> "Talaq Talaq Talaq..And says, since you changed your religion, hence i give divorce to you." This may be a plan of Jalal or dream of someone. It's airing continuously..

JA repeats : 2.00 am, 9.30 am, 1.00 pm, and 5.00 pm
1:00 PM is the OLD Timing...

TRP's have increased:
I remember the TRP's had plunged to as low as 2.2 at a stage.

yes abhay today's latter scene superb.

atlest after reading letter he understand that his mother father care him so much. and he try to understand his parents. and solve problems and come more close to his parents. and respect them.

if this happens so he understand what is right person and what is wrong person in his life. so ruk type people not use him and his emotions for getting advantage.

and he also see his mother father love and understand what is real love.

Saw episode - half nice, half unbearable. 😊

I am not going to write much as you guys have already discussed the episode microscopically. And there's no fun in repeating the same thing.! All the posts are wonderful; esp Sayeri and Aadhya have done a fab job in detailing the episode. 👏

Just posting my own thoughts.

1. Good TRPs have risen! So we can hope for continuation of present JA-centric tracks. 😊

2. CVs seem to have taken the feedback given to them thru various means, including the thread Why we dislike Salim, into consideration and redeemed Salim's character.

What a turnaround!!! Am really happy to see the present happy, loving, friendly, respectful and standing up for his parents, Salim. Thank you, CVs!

I like the new Salim so much that I am even able to watch SA scenes. 5 mins of SA means 5 mins less of Hamida-Ruq, which is a huge relief!!! Seriously, I can even watch JAlal's army sleeping in their tents or Fazl beaming like an avuncular uncle while Jalal enthuses the troops with a morale-raising speech, than watch the hoity-toity Hamida Begum and the trying hard to suppress a smirk beneath fake concern Ruq. They are getting on to my nerves now and I am able to control with great difficulty the urge to shake Hamida Begum hard by the shoulders, as my grooming prevents me from even thinking of doing anything worse to her.

3. The bonding between Salim and his parents was developed beautifully in the scene where Salim reads his mother's letter to his father. A number of things must have impressed upon Salim then - the love and inseparable bonding between his parents, esp when he is in the warm embrace of first love, the trust his father shows by making him (Salim) a witness to his parents' bond by letting him read the special letter, his mother's concern for him and her desire that Jalal should take special care of Salim and bond with him during the war, how his mother is able to reassure his father that everything is normal in Agra and boosting his confidence for the war by hoping for his triumphant return soon, ...

There was so much in that simple scene. A world that Salim had never noticed before. A world of love, trust and respect between his parents that stoked his own longings and desires for something similar. A young adult only admires his parents' bonding when he himself falls in love and it is then that he truly understands what his parents mean to each other and why their love for each other sometimes makes them take certain seemingly harsh decisions.

There was such a friendly camaraderie between father and son that it was as if the earlier resentment had all turned into vapour! There was a new found esprit d'amour in the air with father and son experiencing feelings of love and generally being at peace with the whole world as long as their beloveds were fine. Salim even ventured to ask his father if he shared a secret code language with his mother! Well, just as Mirza Hakim had given lessons in love to Jalal, Jalal has now promised to teach Salim about the magical words written by Jodha some day. Hope Jalal doesn't repent that later. 😆

4. The bond building exercise between father and son continued with Salim upholding his father's wishes for a principled war in the face of Murad's derision for the same.

Will Jalal be able to see the ugly side of his "good son" Murad and the noble side of his "black sheep" Salim during this war?

5. Khanzada Begum, Babur's sister played a great role in keeping the family together and it was she who made Humayun's brothers accept Humayun as the emperor. Then we have the reel Gulbadan Begum who is merely a shadow of Hamida BEgum but has no sense to talk some sense to her bhabhijaan.

6. Salima Begum - This intelligent woman who used to advise Jalal on all matters during the early months of the show has suddenly become a wallflower, another hanger on of Hamida Begum. I hated her for not supporting Jodha when Jalal blamed Jodha for the twins' death. And I dislike her now for not supporting Jodha in front of Hamida BEgum. On many occassions earlier, we have seen she has influence over Hamida BEgum. Then why doesn't she at least try to say something in defence of Jodha whom she calls her sister? Her silence is baffling and a huge let down. I would be totally put off by such a friend or sister who never stood by me when I needed her.

&. Hamida's problem: She is now the typical EK saas, miffed with her daughter-in-law just for the sake of being her mother-in-law and for no justifiable reason. If Hamida really considered Jodha her daughter all these years, then why would she cause such a ruckus over Jodha's faith now? Is it just a prestige issue for her now -she cannot climb down from her high horse without conceding a win to Jodha? Does she just want the satisfaction that Jodha should carry out her orders asap - only then will she be a daughter to her? Is love conditional for Hamida Begum? Hasn't she seen enough politics and wars till now? Did she ever try to prevent any other war in the past?

Leave Jodha. Hamida Begum is now no longer even considerate of her son's authority or decisions. She is the same person who said to Jodha earlier that she would never go against her son's decisions. Well, what has changed now? By calling the Persian envoys for talks while Jalal is already engaged in battle with them, she is directly confronting and upturning his authority. Why? Because she feels some old gratitude for the Persian Shah? Really?

CVs, please redeem this character before she becomes a full-fledged vamp. Just because there is no other negative character other than Murad at present, pls don't turn a positive character negative.

Today I muted Hamida's scenes - she is so insufferable nowadays. The scenes involving her and Jodha resemble the humiliate-Jodha-at-any-cost tracks in 2013. What pleasure anyone derives from such scenes is debatable. I would rather listen to the bg song in SA scenes than watch this lady scowl and sulk!

HB is getting on my nerves now,loved salim and jalal scene good he is trying to understand them, i love was too cute .parijat are commendable actors ,loved them today. HB is behaving like a child whose wishes are not being fulfilled .

precap would love to see a strong jodha standing for rules,HB now is also having effect of ruku ,politics and shah-i -iran has made her lose her brain

As for the episode, again there was nothing to complain. This is fine run we are having this week. The Salim changeover to the good side is needed for even the slightest chance of audience acceptance. Even that is a big IF, because the ratings show that only Rajat and Paridhi can get the audience, nobody else. If this Salim changeover by Ekta is another attempt to thrust Salim Anarkali down our throats, is is again doomed to failure.

As for what happens next in the serial, it does not take too much intelligence to figure that out. Tomorrow, Hamida in her meeting with Persian representatives is going to tell them that Jodha has converted. This news reaches Jalal and the ensuing drama happens. Jodha is going to face censure from both husband and son. Tough times ahead for our besieged heroine, but isn't that what serial audiences like? I don't know, let's see.

JA is back again 😎 .. Atleast I felt this way after tdy's episode 😃

Jalal-Salim scene was so cute n that last words of letter was icing on the cake 👏 ... Yest , we discussed on such a scene n voila we got it tdy 😳 ... Thank u CVS 😊 Salim is indeed under some spell for sure 😆 the actor too , now giving commendable performance of realization twrds his parents care for him 😲

Tdy Hb's expression was so funny 😆 , u said it crct Abhay ... She was like a small kid , who was sullen with her parents for not buying her fav doll 😆 ... Again , ruqu did her nautanki but I completely ignored her bcz Hb's expressions was damn funny n I was ROFLing 😉 Jo exerting her rights has MEH , phew ... I so wanted to see this Jo 😳

P.S : did this nr war say badakshan ?? did any war happened really on that day against badakshaan 😕

Mixed epi. Had good and bad sidesThings I liked in the epi- 1-Jalal and Jodha's goodbye as he leaves for war. It was so sad to see them departing, knowing both will face tough times, as Jodha will face difficulties from hamida and jalal has to fight a tough war. 😭 2-The letter. It was such a cute scene , one side jodha was writing the letter lying in her bed, and blushing. And other side jalal was turning red hearing it.And I liked the way salim was use in this scene.He not only enjoyed being a part of his parents lovely talks, but also saw how much his mother cares for him, and thinks about his pains.The expressions were hillarious at the I love you scene, 😆 3-Liked Jalal salim relation mending, Salim supported Jalal's priciples, understood them , Jalal in turn was very tender with him, even promising to teach him mohabbat ka naya zubaan😆. Liked seeing the father son duo all smiley smiley with each other. Things I disliked 1-Hamida. She is becoming unbearable. Salim and ruqaiyua are looking better in front of her. 😡 She is dishing at jodha every single chance she is getting, even publicly.So many times war has to be fought and people die, but that does not mean she has the right to blame jodha for that. If we love someone as our daughter we cant be o inhuman with her, her behaviour is pathetic , illogical, and unbearable. 2-Ruqaiya🤢what to say about her, she is like a slow agonizing death for viewers. 3-Sanar scene, it took 5 minutes, and it was unnecessary🥱

Yesterday when I asked for a Jalal-Salim scene, I didn't know my wish will be fulfilled so soon or I would have asked for Ruks Bhandaphod...😆

If you give a royal ignore to HBs irritating bouts of anger, episode was good...specially the letter scene...😃
