" geet beta..chalo.."
" mumaaa" the 5 yr old geet was dragged by Rano...
" mumma..hum kaha jaa rale hai..?" She cutely questioned her mother...who was continuously crying..
" Beta.." Rano pulled her and hugged her..
" yaha se dur beta...we are going far away from here...very far...everything is over..sab khatam hogaya..." She clenched her eyes...
" maaa..." Geet woke up..sweating..profusely.. Her breaths were uneven..and mind still floating in the dream she saw...
" maaa..." she gasped...with a tear rolling down her eye...
This incident was buried in her mind..she vaguely remember that day..
She knotted her brows..in confusion..
" aree beta...aap uth gaye?" a old lady came besides..her...smilingly..
"tum thik toh ho na beta..." She asked brushing her forehead..
" ji...mai..thik hu..aap...?" She scanned the hut where she was... " maaan.." she mumbled and started calling his name... the last she remember was falling in his arms..
" maaan maaan...maaan" she started screaming...
" beta ur woh he is...here in the next house...usse bhi goli lagi ti..isliye..uska bhi ilaj ho raha hai..."
" goli .." her eyes widened..." woh..maan kaha..hai...mujhe uske paas jana hai..." She jumped out of bed...and then held..her head.. biting her lip...in pain ..
" betaaa" the lady reached besides...her..." tum thik nahi ho beta...tumhe saap ne kata tha...aur sar par bhi chot lagi hai...abhi bhi kamzoor ho"
She tucked geet back in bed... " tumhe pure 2 dino baad hosh aya hai beta..."
Geet couldn't register what the lady was saying ... Right now her heart was desperately waiting for...one glimpse of maan.. She was getting worried..
" ji..maan maan kaha hai..plz mujhe maan se mila dijiye.." She requested the lady..
The lady smiled in response...and brushed her forehead..
" ha beta...use bula deti hu...tum dono ka pyar bilkul ek jais ahai ek duje k liye... 2 dino se who bhi yaha se nahi hila...jabki use bhi chote aur goli lagi ti... "
This came in as a total surprise for her.. maan was besides her...whole 2 days ..
Tears gathered in her eyes...feeling his care " use goli lagi hai..woh thik toh hai na.." She immediately asked...the lady..
" ha beta.." geet was relived a bit..But she was anxious the meet maan...
" waise beta...tumhe apne pati ka naam nahi lena chayie...humare yaha kehte hai,..ki pati ka naam nahi lena chayie..."
" ji??" geet stared the lady in confusion..
" ha beta...maaan tumhara pati hai na...uska aise naam nahi lete"

" maaan beta...chori ko hosh aa gaya hai..." maan rose from his bed...in response and ran outside..
" geeet..." he muttered..entering her hut...
" jao beta..." the lady smiled...and left the duo alone..
Geet stared...maan in awe... For the first time in life someone was showing care and affection for her... this time without any motive ... Her throat was choked...
" geeet..." Maan sat on the bed...and in the next moment...engulfed her in his arms.. Geet let herself..sink in his arms feeling bliss... she closed her eyes..and hugged him back..
" thank god u r okay..." Maan mumbled..and tighten his arms..brushing her hair
She was nearly crushed in his arms... and hid her face in the crook of his neck...
She opened her eyes...and touched her forehead..which was shinning with the red colour...
Maan brushed her back...For him his world was coming back...After the chaos which happened his mind heart was restless... Now holding her in his arms...was calming him down...
The wetness on his collar gained his attention and broke the moment..He parted away from geet ..
" geeet kya hua..?" He whimpered...cupping her face... The tears in her eyes...stunned.. him
Geet shook her head..and hummed nothing..
" tum thik ho..." she slightly touched his arm which was bandaged...
It was then maan realized their position..
" m sorry..." he implied..and moved a little back..
" yeh..sab kaise...mujhe..kuch yaad nai hai..maan kaha..hai hum?" geet tried to normalize the situation..
" geet u were bitten by snake...I had to get u treated...while I was...running...Dev's men attacked us..and yeh chota sa village hai...thankfully I reached here and these guys helped..us.."
" tum thikk toh ho na.." Maan asked her again to assure himself..
Geet smiled and nodded..
" yeh kya...hai..." Geet raised her eyes...as maan inclined closer...and reached her forehead..caressing it..
" oh...yeh khoon mere chot k wajah se lag gaya hoga...ill wipe it.." Before he could wipe it...Geet held his hands..
Maan paused and looked down at her...
" let it be..." She replied..lowering her lashes...
Maan frowned...and took back his hands...
Geet was taken aback by her own action... She dint knw y she stopped...maan... But somewhere She didn't like the thought of maan wiping the red mark..from her forehead...
" geeet tum rest karo...tumhe aram ki zarrurt hai...ill be outside...we will be staying here for some days...okay.."
Geet nodded her head...and maan took his leave..
Geet laid down on the bed...with a smile on her face...
She touched her forehead...filled with maan's blood...
All their encounters bloated her mind... his words.. " I promise ill take u away from this world..geet..."
Her smile brighten..." I trust u maan..." she uttered...before closing her eyes..
