hi guys i have this very old book, trust me its very old and its alomost ripping up, it has bascally everything of india since its a school book of ma uncle

and concidenetally i was reading about kutab minar and this is what it had said about prithviraj chauhan's daughter

like it said its really nice climbing up and looking around,

i am copying this quote from the book

"...if we look around, we will see a silver streak towards the north. It is the river Jumna which flows twelve or thirteen miles away from the kutab. That is why it is said that Prithvi Raj, the great Hindu King built it for his daughter. She used to go up to its top to have a look at the Jumna early in the morning..."

so thats means that prithvi had a daughter and he bulit to for her😕

it was built by Qutub-uddin- Aibak and thus it was named Qutub minar
and Aibak came long after PRC 😕

i dont think prithvi built qutub minar. At least, my source doesnt say it.

Inspired by the Minaret of Jam in Afghanistan and wishing to surpass it, Qutb-ud-din Aybak, the first Muslim ruler of Delhi, commenced construction of the Qutub Minar in 1193; but could only complete its basement. His successor, Iltutmish, added three more stories and, in 1368, Firuz Shah Tughluq constructed the fifth and the last story. The development of architectural styles from Aibak to Tuglak are quite evident in the minaret. Like earlier towers erected by the Ghaznavids and Ghurids in Afghanistan, the Qutub Mahal comprises several superposed flanged and cylindrical shafts, separated by balconies carried on Muqarnas corbels. The minaret is made of fluted red sandstone covered with intricate carvings and verses from the Qur'an. The Qutub Minar is itself built on the ruins of Lal Kot, the Red Citadel in the city of Dhillika, the capital of the Jat Tomars and the Chauhans, the last Hindu rulers of Delhi.
