Rani replaced Madhuri!

Rani Mukherji stepped into Madhuri Dixit's shoes. As per latest Rani Mukherji has been roped in for 'Parineeta' director Pradeep Sarkar's next. However Madhuri Dixit was first approached for the role. Producer Yash Chopra even had agreed to shoot the entire film in New York fulfilling Madhuri's condition. But the thing didn't work out finally, it's however another reason.

As per industry grapevine Madhuri opted out because of Vidya Balan, who will play another lead in the film and possibly, due to her alleged relationship with its director Pradeep Sarkar, will get more focus than other. The same reason, Rani also initially refused the role. But when Yash uncle requested her, Rani couldn't say 'no' to him and singed up the film. The film will have Saif Ali Khan playing the male lead. Also Shabana Azmi will be seen in an important role.

As per source, the yet-untitled film will go on floors in November.
