The crew of Saath Nibhana Saathiya had a reunion of sorts at their co-star's wedding

Rucha Hasabnis got married to her childhood sweetheart Rahul on January 26, 2015. The duo has been together since their schooling days and got engaged sometime in October, 2014.

Rucha aka Rashi Modi left her popular show Saath Nibhana Saathiya to concentrate on her personal life and to prepare for her nuptials. The Maharashtrian wedding was attended by her former co-stars Vishal Singh (onscreen husband), Devoleena Bhattacharjee, Giaa Manek, Bhavini Purohit and Swati Shah.

The three day wedding ceremonies began with the sangeet and mehndi functions. Rucha has apparently booked a bungalow for her friends from the industry. The sangeet was on January 24, followed by the mehndi and the wedding too place on January 26, they had a grand reception in the evening. Of course the cast went mad clicking selfies with and without the couple.

Rucha Hasabnis, aka Rashi from the show Saath Nibhaana Saathiya, tied the knot with her long-time beau Rahul Jagdale in a traditional Maharashtrian wedding on Republic Day.

Admitting that it was a conscious decision by the couple to marry on a national holiday. She says, "My husband Rahul and I are extremely patriotic at heart, so even when our families suggested other dates for the marriage, we chose January 26. In fact, my husband even kept a small Indian flag on his Jodhpuri wedding suit."

Rucha's wedding preparations lasted for four days " it took off with a puja, followed by the sangeet, and the wedding and reception. She says, "We played Marathi music with interesting musical instruments " jugalbandi of jal tarang, sitar, flute and mandolin on the wedding day. There was a lezim dance performance and live shehnai too."

Recalling her best moments at the wedding, Rucha admits that she really enjoyed every bit of the ceremonies, done in the traditional Indian style. She says, "A lot of people tell me that when they get married they are so nervous, that they don't realise when the whole ceremony got over. But I thoroughly enjoyed every bit of the wedding ceremony " from the puja, where the pujari explained the meaning of each and every vow and the pheras, and each ritual in the ceremony. It was a learning experience.

Rucha Hasabnis, who bid farewell to Star Plus's Saath Nibhana Saathiya' in the latter half of 2014, finally embraced matrimony on January 26, 2015. If you remember, we had reported about the Rucha getting engaged in October, soon after she left ...Saathiya.'

The actress had a Maharashtrian wedding and many of her co-stars from the show showed up at the nuptials to bless her. Vishal Singh, Bhavini Purohit, Devoleena Bhattacharjee, Swati Shah and former Gopi, Giaa Manek were spotted having a good time bonding during the wedding festivities.
