Ashlok VM - Do Me Damage

Hi Ashlokians 😃

This is my fourth VM on Ashlok and the song is Do Me Damage by Digital Daggers.😛 Whenever I listen to a new song Ashlok comes to my mind 😳 as they are my first and last love.😉 So for the first time when I listened to this song I was gripped by it's pure words and instantly smitten to it's lyrical flow.

If you listen to it and understand it's meaning behind the lyrics than it's quite a self-sacrificing and mystical song.After listening to this song I thought about Astha's self-sacrificing nature and Shlok's secretive heart. His character is still an enigma to me, we still don't know when did he start loving her but I am sure even when he was destroying her he still loved her.

Love is not always a sweet smelling bouquet of flowers given to a lover, sometimes it brings total annihilation for the lover. And that is what Shlok did he destroyed her completely. He was already destroyed by his painful memories, already broken beyond repair so he made her just like him. But it was Astha's self-sacrificing nature that when he pushed her faraway from him mentally and physically both she still came for more.

Sometimes love is beyond reason, beyond any meaning, like the moth to the flame, the sunflower to the sun. The moth still loves the flame even though he knows that it will annihilate him, but he can't help himself from attracting towards it and being destroyed in the process. Astha was the moth who was attracted towards Shlok's burning flame and was singed in the process. The moth never knew than that his destruction was causing the wax to melt too.

It was a mystical pull as they both were fated to be together and destined to fall in love like the moth and flame. He put up every effort to fight for control but still lost in the end to her loving nature.

This song depicts Astha's inner torment, her battle between mind and heart, her longing for his affection and her confusion on Shlok's ever changing behavior, when sometimes he came as a cruel lover and sometimes he showed his caring nature.

So that was my blabbering 😆 I'll now leave you to watch the VM. 😆😉
