Why is Valli cooped up in the house all the time?? Either she should be attending college or started to work. She is sobbing in self pity and brooding all the time - she should forget about not getting her periods and seek medical attention instead.

She is not the only person in the whole wide world with delayed periods. Its quite common these days. Her mother makes her life more miserable than anybody else. I know my friend got her first period when she was about 17 years - she was so care-free and carried on with her life as per normal. Of course she went to see a gynae and sorted out her problems. Ingga Valli thinks its the end of the world..!!

My thoughts exactly, why can't they send her to college or something and keep her occupied instead of the whole family harping on this coming of age issue and descending together into perpetual gloom 🤢 It is not the end of the world for heaven's sake! 😡
