Dilshad was in the kitchen making breakfast; Rashid was sitting in the living room reading the newspaper. Zoya was in her room writing in her diary:
Dear Diary
It has been 6 years, it feels like the time has stopped, you are the one that is always on my mind, and it is hard for me to wait for you. Please Asad just come home already, I miss you, and I can't wait for you anymore.
The phone rang; she closed her diary and got up from the chair, she was in a hurry to go the phone, the chair fell down she quickly grabbed her dupata and rushed through the kitchen, she bumped into the maid and the maid dropped the tray of the vegetables she was carrying Zoya said, "Sorry." She rushed through the lobby and bumped into Najma, she had a file in her hands and all the papers went flying in the air.
Najma: "Zoya kya kari ho tum."
Zoya: "Sorry Najma, I have to go, the phone is ringing."
She picked up the phone and smiled
Zoya: "Haan Asad, I came running all the way, I am out of breath, You made me run after you when you were kid and now you are making me run to the phone, When are you going stop making me run for you."
Asad was taking a cup out of the cabinet
Asad: "Zoya, meri baat tho suno."
Zoya couldn't hear clearly, the connection was not that well;
Zoya: "Array zor sai bolo awaz nahi ari hai tumhari."
Najma was picking up the papers and looking at Zoya talking to her brother
Zoya: "Phone kareeb karo, awaz nahi ari hain."
Asad: "Zoya, sab kaisa hain, aur teek hain sab kuch."
Zoya: "Haan sab tumhe bhot miss karte aur main bhi bhot miss karti hoon"
She said the last sentence in a whisper into the phone.
Asad: "Haan main bhi sabko bhot miss karta hoon"
Asad sat down on the chair
Asad: "Acha Zoya ammi koh bata dena main sham mein phone karo ga, ik zaroori baat karni hain unse."
Zoya: "Haan teek hain keh do gi, Acha batao kab arai ho."
Zoya waited for his answer impatiently
Asad: "I will tell you later when I call tonight, Goodbye."
Zoya said "Nahi pehlai batao, Hello Asad?"
She took the phone off her ears and saw it was disconnected. She turned around and saw Najma standing with a smirk on her face she giggled,
Zoya: "It got disconnected." She said with a frown on her face.
She was about to leave but Najma grabbed her hand and said
Najma: "Hello madam, kahan jaari hain app, who is going to pick up these papers."
Zoya kissed her cheek
Zoya: "Can you please pick up them please meri bahen, you're so pretty love you"
Najma looked at her leaving and shook her head.
Zoya went running to find Dilshad
Zoya: "Tiammi app kahan hain."
Dilshad: "Zoya kitchen mein."
Zoya ran towards the kitchen
Dilshad: "Kay baat hai, kyun chilari ho."
Zoya: "Tiammi Asad ka phone aya tha."
Dilshad: "Achaa mera beta phone aya tha, mujche kyun nahi bulaya."
Zoya: "Kaisa bulati Ik minute ka phone karta hain woh."
Dilshad smiled at her
Dilshad: "Don't worry I will scold him for talking only for a minute."
Zoya: "haan tiammi, scold him badly, he is gotten greedy by going to America."
