Can you blame daadi if she get insulting. Which self respecting woman would pretend married to another man. And to be honest even in the real world if someone was pretending to be married every sane person would question their honor. They tarnished Ragini's character with this lie. People are going to believe only two things out of this, Ragini is embarrassed of her marriage to Aman so lied about it to Nishi's inlaws, or she is really having an affair engaged to Aman but is not ready to publicly announce it. In both these scenarios it is gut wrenching for Ragini's honor and it was beneath her stoop so low and she has no one else to blame but herself for ruining her own reputation. This isn't about Neil, pam, or even her kids anymore, this is about Ragini herself a woman who supposedly so principled that she broke apart her family separated herself from her kids all for the pursuit of truth and justice. Someone of such strong moral mettle cannot say a lie willingly that can cost them everything they stand up for. Ragini ego is big but is it bigger than the truth itself.
Can someone tell me why Ragini even told this lie. She wants to prove to Neil that she is a good wife. I thought she left Neil because he was a bad husband not because she wasn't a good wife. This whole argument is ulta, Neil should pretend to be fake married because he wants to prove to his x wife that he is a good husband and not a liar and cheat like she believes him to be and he can make a woman happy making her regret her decision for leaving him. It would have made more sense from a story POV for Neil to have lied about his marital status because as far as Ragini is concerned the fault was with Neil not with her so why does she have to prove anything. Infact Neil coming from abraod no one would know he is married or not it would have been much easier lie to tell. Ragini's lie is so stupid where anyone who knows Aman and Ragini know they are not married including the hospital maid lolzzz.
I have a better story in my mind. After Roopali death Niveditha loses her only family and she is an orphan now. Neil takes Niveditha with her to New York because he feels guilty about what happened. He educates her and she becomes a lawyer and is very close to the kids especially suhaani but suhaani doesn't know that she is her aunt. So in all the years Niveditha spend with Neil she could have genuinely fallen in love with him, Neil only sees her as a ward and never loves her back. I think Pam role should have been given to Niveditha. Pam is part of Neil life but she is married and has life of her own. When they all come to India Neil sees Ragini taunting him constantly what a lousy man he is so he announces he is happily married to Nive to prove Ragini wrong that he cannot be a good husband. When the show started Nive and Roopali character didn't even exist writers just came up with it just now, that is why it makes the story makes no sense right now.
Not only that Jignesh inlaws wouldnt care if Ragini x husband is married or not, he doesn't live in India he is from abroad what he does in his personal life is his business. Because Nishi is ragini daughter raised by Ragini so obviously what she does and says is a direct reflection on the kind of girl Nishi is. Neil married or not if the truth came out worst it would have done is created idle gossip but Nishi's marriage would not been in jeopardy, but with Ragini's lie she has opened herself to a lot of ridicule and humiliation like it or not women are held to a different standard compared to men.
