I know, sometimes it was so jarring to see this one mobile face in midst of cardboard cutouts. BTW, I sent a suggestion to Adeeb to maybe work few years as assistant director and learn the ropes before being the big honcho & he blocked me. I have no hopes for him being so thin-skinned. He has to learn to take criticism & learn to overcome his shortcomings, otherwise there is no hope.

On Barun's fame it at least got released & did as much business, otherwise I don't think it would have seen the light of day.

He did that? I guess the bechara was so hurt as he was bashed the most in reviews, but that is no excuse... He was the team leader and he screwed up royally, it is no one else's but his fault. He should learn to take criticism... At least Pooja gujral is still nice.

I'm also thinking the same ,the movie is released only because barun, Adeeb really should learn to accept the criticism if he want to do anything in BW.

Adeeb didn't even say anything after the film.. He should have tweeted something like that he accepted the result and would do better in future.
He has to learn to be professional, he casted Shenaz because he had a crush on her.. He included yaar bina because its his favorite and he made that retro look poster because he likes some kapoor's movies...

But all these things which he included only because his favorite not suited with the concept..
He has to think movie is not just for him to sit at home and watch but for every body. Just inserting all those things without thinking weather they will go well with the concept or not is his foolishness.
He has to learn a lot ,It's better if he accept this rather than blocking the people whoever advised him.Seems like he is thinking himself as world class director...

Yes I felt pooja is some what better who at least conveyed thanks for the support... I think she may have understood the fact that it is released because of barun and that she can't expect any thing else...

Finallyy I'm really proud of Barun...Even after the film is being very low budget and very low quality of direction it was released and did some business.

MAMR is just a sample of barun sobti, picture is still in due...BW will knew him soon what he really is...

He blocked you because you gave a suggestion? That's not good, Adeeb has a lot to learn if he wants to improve, and the first step to that is taking criticism well. People learn from failures. He had a good concept in hand, but the direction left a lot to be desired. The characterizations of the supporting characters (Aliya's friends) for the most part (except for Niyati) fell flat and the audition scenes were unnecessary. I hope that if he has read the reviews, that he will take the criticisms seriously. In the interviews that I have scene of him, it seems like he genuinely wants to do well and give a good quality product, he just needs a lot more experience and needs to take criticism well.

I'm glad that the film released and that their hard work was at least seen. Barun was highly appreciated by almost all the major critics that matter, Shenaz got some decent reviews too. All said and done, things are looking up for Barun. According to his latest interview with Malishka, he has mentioned that he was happy with the appreciation that he got for MAMR and that he's happy with the work he has lined up. I am eagerly waiting to hear more on that. For now, I am very excited for Satra Ko Shaadi Hai and 22 Yards. SKSH is a JA Ent and UTV/Disney enterprise, so I am sure that they will do a fantastic job with the marketing and release of the movie. I think he's great roles in these two movies.

I am not sure about 22 yards. I think this script has been through so many revisions, plus she has done only sport documentary. It might end up being a good concept & fall short on execution.

SKSH was a clean shoot, with a finalized script & a experienced production team. I think Barun has to read the script before committing. In some interviews he had said that he liked the concept of MAMR and committed to it.

As for Adeeb, I think he was the biggest loser in this. Unfortunately, it doesn't appear that that he is learning from it. I think anyone would be vary of working with him.

As resh.rose has rightly pointed out, all the mishmash happened because he was put all his fav items in the pot, gave a mix & thought had a great final product, but it ended up being the mishmash of jumbled items making no sense.

I keep telling my daughter the same thing, either in essay/story or any documentary or shorts she creates, you have to have a theme & create a story around it, but it still has to revolve around the story and stick very close to the theme.

Thankfully SKSH is coming soon & I am glad MAMR is out of the way.

I don't think that we have to worry about barun's choices in future Any other MAMR kind of thing is never going to happen him again.The time when he has chosen MAMR is the time when he was sick of the monotony of the work he was doing in television.. It was the time that he wanted to do different things so he might have chosen MAMR.But now is the time that he is serious about movies and according to some IV's he is getting some good offers so he can choose carefully among them.We can take MAMR as a practice match before real match ..It may have given him some practice and insight about all those promotion kind of things because we all know how shy he is..all those experiences will help him in future and some of the casting directors of big banners may have already spotted him because of this movie.
Yes, I'm also hopeful about SKSH.. I knew some of the people are worrying about that 50 ensemble cast thing.. but I don't think it as an obstacle , I really like sapna pabbi in 24.. she is a fine actor .
One other actor Harshavardhan Rane, I knew him even before SKSH He did some south films . He is a very sweet, good looking,decent actor.. I think people will definitely going to love him..The time when I came to knew about Harsha is also in SKSH I was surprised and very much happy because harsha is one of my favorite...It's really a good thing for barun to have such a talented co stars..

Coming to 22yards. I'm very much exited about the concept and barun as sports agent is very intense role.Tom Cruise as sports agent in Jerry Maguire is my all time favourite.Though we can't expect Mithali to do the film in that standards still I'm hoping for the best. I really wish this movie to work out.We all know how great he can act in intense roles so he would be awesome as Ron in 22yards.Its natural having script revisions for this kind of films.Hope the out come of this movie will be good.I'm already in love with that Stubble look of barun in 22 yards.. He is looking very intense in that.

I really wish, I'm hoping and I would love to see barun sobti in some very intense role, in a well scripted and well directed movie.

1. The engagement party suddenly cut short. We saw the whole scene in that someone had released prior to movie.

2. Suddenly carrying a dripping woman, then cut to the apartment banter with Shenaz cutting sandwich.

3. Suddenly that song in picnic.

4. The art gallery with Barun yawning? When & how?

I really wish, I'm hoping and I would love to see barun sobti in some very intense role, in a well scripted and well directed movie. Would love to see this...

In Main Aur Mr. Riight, the character of newcomer Barun Sobti is entirely based on Salman Khan. Not does he carry the locks a la Radhe from Tere Naam, he even has posters of Salman adorn the walls of room. As a matter of fact, he swears by him, well literally, by time and again mouthing - 'Salman bhai ki kasam'. Also, it is a sequence from Hum Aapke Hain Kaun that makes him realize his love for Shenaz Treasury.
