mamta,I am a hitchkock fan too.i remember having movie marathons with friends.i forgot exorcist,that too was scary.and one flew over the cuckoos best.but all horror movies incorporate darkness to heighten fear.and shining was shot in full lights and white snow,so much that you find whiteness scary.

Hindi horror films have been silly to downright comical.i think only rgv managed to make them classy with kaun and bhoot.but I used to have great fun watching all the ramsay brothers and Mohan bhakri films.
