Yup, I think he is faked, cause there were fake id's of Bulbul-Popatlal as well during December 2013, even now there are some.

The makers were smart, they knew that ketki Dave's acting powress would overshadow daya and upto an extent jetha aur ye toh hamare dulaare asit ji hone hi nahi denge !! What a missed opportunity there asitji, it could have been laugh riot watching a senior comedian like ketki dave doing that role.
