Like a lone tree up the hill..
with no one to watch my plight
and to sooth my broken heart
I looked up in the sky
to wish upon the fallen stars
I couldn't find any
for the sky was cloudy and dry.
So many summer nights before
I wished for a star of my own
It was you who came along
to lit up my lonely world,
and filled it with love so tender
My stars and your fireflies
together wove our sky of love
and sealed it with a promise
that should last for ever..
I held your hands only to leave it
I held the key to your heart only to lose it
I left you all alone only to come back
for all the roads lead to you
as it always was..
Like a little kid
I longed for the sky of love
So bright and sunny like your smile..
But you said it will never come back..
and called it so toxic and dark..
