Love

"Only once in your life, I truly believe, you find someone who can completely turn your world around. ...You open your heart knowing that there's a chance it may be broken one day and in opening your heart, you experience a love and joy that you never dreamed possible. You find that being vulnerable is the only way to allow your heart to feel true pleasure that's so real it scares you. You find strength in knowing you have a true friend and possibly a soul mate who will remain loyal to the end. Life seems completely different, exciting and worthwhile. Your only hope and security is in knowing that they are a part of your life."
Bob Marley

Today the episode was clearly divided in two opposites : Love and Indifference.

Two siblings are experiencing on the same day the two opposites of life. Ruhi has experienced first hand what different flavors of love are : love of her very much in love parents, love of her family supporting each other through thick and thin...she's secure in embrace of unconditional love of her family...quite opposite to Adi who has only seen the ugliness of life ..backstabbing, scheming and bartering of conditional love for personal gain...he has experienced the constant fear of losing someone you hold close to heart.

Love all the three scenes with Ishita and Raman.

One of family teasing Raman and preparing him for his big moment. The best suggestion coming from the littlest one...a simple but most effective way of showing love. And the moment Raman notices his wife in the saree of his choice (Must say RKB's choice is impeccable this time...Ishita is a vision in pink and blue today!) ...in the note he has wanted her to increase his heartbeat but it looks like he forgets breathe momentarily...and Ishita is also not immune to her dashing, handsome hubby either and his open checking her out. Both made a beautiful couple...and I'm with Toshijee...they truly need lots of her nazar utaru wishes.

The car ride of a couple going out on their first official date has everything...uncustomary silence as both are lost in their thoughts of each other...(Wish they had shown some monologue or FB of what Raman was feeling) ..both savoring their moment together...the stolen glances and occasional eye-locks...spoke volumes of what both were experiencing..butterflies in stomach was palpable.

...and the actual scene when Ishita walks in to the honeymoon suite to the interruption by Adi's call...I can't write much ...Ishita getting goosebumps anticipating what's ahead..Raman holding her shoulder and slowly turning her around and the happy smirk noticing her closed eyes...those little touches of tucking her hair or touching her chin to make her look at him and their eventual eye-lock...it was magical!

KP and DT just take this romantic moments to quite something. Wish we had a whole episode dedicated to their date...but...I know... I know drama sells.

but overall a thoroughly enjoyable episode...even the Shagun parts😈

Come Monday...Shagun takes over Bhalla house...🤢

Opposite of Love

"Karma comes after everyone eventually. You can't get away with screwing people over your whole life, I don't care who you are. What goes around comes around. That's how it works. Sooner or later the universe will serve you the revenge that you deserve."
Jessica Brody,

I had read somewhere Opposite of love is not hatred but indifference. Today Shagun's condition reminded me of that.. Though I'm a woman and no woman deserves to be feeling so unworthy ...but at some level of humanity...I have absolutely no empathy for Shagun. Where she lays today is the culmination of her own decisions...where she had put everything, even her own children as an afterthought to get what she desired. And the very indifference with which she had treated others, she got a taste of her own medicine. of how it feels to be used and discarded even without a moment of thought. As much as an ass Ashok is, he has the most poignant dialogue of today ...comparing Shagun to a used tissue paper.

But even in her fall ...someone else suffers more. Her son Adi. He's a twelve year old with his Mom,who he holds dear to his life. And for that poor kid finding his Mom in an inebriated state...totally out of her wits and to have her lying next to a garbage dump in the middle of the road...I can just imagine his feeling of helplessness...A mother is supposed to protect her children in all situation...and here an unfortunate role reversal where a kid who,at many times, has been forced into the role of taking care of his crestfallen mother...finds himself again in the worst situation. Thankfully he reaches out to the right person this time.

As much as I hated interruption to our Ishra moment, being a parent, especially in such a situation... it takes precedence over everything...Hopefully this track will herald some sanity to his young life and remind Adi what the security of a loving family is...

Perfect timing just logged on and saw your post, haven't watched the episode yet and from your post seems like it was an emotional one. Will wait to watch it and update later.
--------------------------------------
update:

G I love the collages and brilliant write up especially the one about Adi touched me and the quote by Marley is one of my favorites and a beautiful life lesson.

The scene where I found myself drawn into Ishra was silent drive, I loved the song that played and it conveyed so much about their feelings. I loved the flashbacks that both of them were having about their relationship and I loved how beautifully it tied into the song. I loved how Ishita's eyes were full of love anticipation about the expression of love and some trepidations, Raman on the other hand seemed calm, composed and content to be with the love of his life, sure about the beautiful future that awaits him and his beloved missus. I don't know why about I just love scenes where the protagonists are silent but their emotions travel and that's what I got from the car scene. The lyrics of Samjhawa are so apt for Ishra at this junction, they both know they love each other immensely but are struggling to express it, sometimes the struggle is due to their own shortcoming and sometimes it's the unfortunate circumstances. The first line itself describes Ishra beautifully, 'Nahin jeena tere baaju' meaning I don't want to live without you...this sentiment is all that is needed to describe Ishra, without words, without 'confession' they know that they can't and won't live without each other.

The hotel scene when he taps her shoulder and turns her around, the caress on her cheek, and lifting of her chin, her eyes closed, his smile widening, his shoulders broad and his eyes gleaming and amidst all this the classic Ishra one liners, she calls him a liar and he catches her enjoying this beautiful lie.

These two love birds are flying high in the security of their love knowing that no matter what they will be standing by each other being each other's strength. Without any hesitation Ishita says we must go and attend to Adi, he is OUR son and he needs us, without a drop of doubt Raman knows his wife would never misunderstand him for keeping his kids above their relationship. There is no better confession of love than sacrificing for your loved one, Ishra sacrificed their moment of togetherness for the happiness of each other, could there be a bigger confession than that!

"Being deeply loved by someone gives you strength, while loving someone deeply gives you courage." - Lao Tzu

This quote describes Ishra' love story in today's episode, Raman and Ishita get their strength by showering in each other's unconditional love while they get the courage to make difficult life decisions by loving each other deeply.

I cannot get myself to comment on Adi's plight so I am going in my denial mode to avoid the feels. 😃

Iss tarah chu lete ho aap mujhe
Dil ki dhadkan tez ho jaati hai

Iss tarah saamne aa jaati ho tum mere
Sansein Ruk jaati hai

Hum aapse keh nahi paayenge
Lekin itna samajhle
Haarke bhi hum
Sab kuch jeet jaate hai

So relate towhat u said as a mom. I know u are all abt Ishra but todAy maybe we need to pause and think of Shagun as a woman. Feel so pulled and sad for her.
Doc if u could write about her state of mind that would be amazing with Gs collages somehow reading what u ladies have to say makes me process what i feel so much better.

Res...

--- EDIT---

Excellent quotes, collages and especially discussion of the episode G!

And Doc- Loved the classic quote and your dissection of the ISHRA scenes, you explained better then me why I loved that silent drive so much...😆 We actually seem to have very similar tastes I notice.😃

This was a wonderful episode all around really. To be honest I didn't really expect more from ISHRA romance then what was in the preview so I was pleasantly surprised by all the lead up to it. And even having seen the preview that scene was simply divine; love, hate, indifference, tolerance- no matter what emotion they've had to portray since the show started- KP & DT just get ISHRA and their chemistry is off the charts so much so that we can never look away!😊

I loved Raman's nervousness, his behavior up to the rescue of Shagun was so sweet it just made me fall in fall with him all over again. The excitement, the nerves, the hopefulness, the irritation, the flirting, his awe of Ishu- honestly it was like watching a man fall in love for the first time, not a once married father of two. As well, we usually get such scenes from the POV of the female lead and it was quite refreshing for me to see the male lead in this state.

The family teasing- especially that last shot where they waved ISHRA off... And the scene in the car with the secret glances and shy smiles, how utterly sweet , realistic and completely teenage love style- gawd these two...I actually think i loved this scene the most in the whole episode.

But from now on Raman should forget 'I ' start start with 'love' during his next almost confession- seems 'I' is the word that triggers interruptions!😉 Also loooved the way he look after Ishu stated they should go get Adhi- it was disappointment , acceptance, respect and admiration all in that shot. I felt like her care for him and their kids just made him fall for her even more in that moment. Brilliantly portrayed by KP as always.

I do hope this turns out to be a Adhi focused track rater then a Shagun one. Especially after Shagun cursed Ashok @ the bar, I really hope they don't go the typical ' Shagun gets selective amnesia and tries to steal back Raman and create MUs between ISHRA rather then destroying Ashok' route that everyone on the forum seems to be thinking it's going... please CVs - surprise us. We, like Ishu, just looove surprises!😆

Shagun's immediate reaction to turn to the bottle for comfort struck me for two reasons. Firstly, it worked terrifically with Raman's offhanded comment at the hotel about how if his plan got interrupted again he'd have to drink the bottle in his hands and secondly it reminded me of how Raman has the same tendency to turn to alcohol for comfort. Despite that, Raman has always made it an effort to take care of his own self even when drunk- that's the difference between them.

As well what Raman found what Shagun has not - a partner, family, daughter and extended support system who understand his tendency and do whatever necessary to help and support him through his pain. While Shagun, she has Adhi, a little lost boy who is burdened with much too much responsibility at such a young age.

I also think it is significant that Ishu has a different relationship with alcohol then Raman & Shagun- that's what balances Raman out. The idea there being of opposites attracting and balancing. And maybe that's what Shagun needs- someone that balances her out. And that is not Ashok. I don't know, just a random thought.

Anyway, I'm hoping for the best and preparing for the worst - as per usual. Hope we continue to get some super sweet ISHRA & ISHRARU scenes which will show Adhi the reality about his father, step mother, sister and the family he never knew... before the sword eventually falls again for an ISHRA 'separation'.🤢

Note: There's exactly 48 YHM episodes (6 weeks) until Valentines day/ISHRA anniversary ( yes I counted-😳) at which time I expect we will get the real and true ISHRA confession... can we hang on until then?😉

Res- My heart broke for adi

Adi:

"But the hearts of small children are delicate organs. A cruel beginning in this world can twist them into curious shapes. The heart of a hurt child can shrink so that forever afterward it is hard and pitted as the seed of a peach. Or again, the heart of such a child may fester and swell until it is a misery to carry within the body, easily chafed and hurt by the most ordinary things." ~ Carson McCullers, The Ballad of the Sad Caf and Other Stories

Shagun:

"Sooner or later in life, we will all take our own turn being in the position we once had someone else in." ~Ashly Lorenzana

Ishra:

"I fell in love with her courage, her sincerity, and her flaming self respect. And it's these things I'd believe in, even if the whole world indulged in wild suspicions that she wasn't all she should be. I love her and it is the beginning of everything." ~F. Scott Fitzgerald

"I want you. I want you so badly I can't stand it. When you left, it felt like the world got darker. Like I couldn't truly see anything. Couldn't feel anything." ~Rachel Vincent, Alpha

---Edited---

Gan stunning collages once again. You always do wonders, no surprise there. So much has happened in today's episode I dont know where to start. It was such a nice episode I didn't even mind the Shagun scenes. Actually I enjoyed them for the first time.

Let me start with talking about the adi and shagun scenes. I have no sympathy for her. What goes around comes around. How long did she think that she could get away with her actions. She did not once think about leaving her child and now karma has bit her in the back. I felt so bad for Adi though. The poor child had to watch his mother's breakdown. I cant imagine the burden on this child. Instead of her taking care of him, he had to take care of her. I am so glad he called Raman. Deep down inside he knew that Raman will always be there for him. Thats why he turned to Raman. He knows that Raman is his true father.

Ishra scenes were just bang on. Raman's expression said a million things. I could not stop smiling. He should take Ruhi's advice and give Ishimaa a nice kiss(dirty elves again). I did not think Ruhi's advice above her age because she has seen her parents kiss her on the check and tell her I love you. She just gave her papa the same advice she has seen. I love how Ishita wanted Raman to express his feeling yet she was not ready for. Her nerves just represented her excitement. The way they look at each just melts my heart.

I die but when the grave shall press

The heart so long endeared to thee

When earthy cares no more distress

And earthy joys are nought to me.

Weep not, but think that I have past

Before thee o'er the sea of gloom.

Have anchored safe and rest at last

Where tears and mouring can not come.

'Tis I should weep to leave thee here

On that dark ocean sailing drear

With storms around and fears before

And no kind light to point the shore.

But long or short though life may be

'Tis nothing to eternity.

We part below to meet on high

Where blissful ages never die."

~Emily Bront

Ps. Shout out to the CVs for the mature dialouge: Our children are more important than us. I loved the reality and maturity of this show.

superb episode...when shagun is pleading ashok..it reminded me of raman who begged shagun...although i hate her and thinking dat it is Karma...but as a women,my heart went out for her and poor adi..the epi is perfectly executed..one side a women once who has a loving husband and family...left them for high class luxurious life..and now she is in a state worst than a slumdog..another side,a women who is once left by her fiance bcoz of her inability to conceive..made a right choice and bcoz of her good and selfless nature..win all others heart..has a loving husband and family and her daughter ...and she is going to begin a blissful life...
after watching d Olv..we bashed how can ishu bring shagun to her home...we thought it is stupidity...but i am proud of ishita..dat is called Humanity...
adi always hated raman..but in that worst situation he called his father for help...deep down in his heart he knows wat his father is..
my heart went out for this kid..even i am not married..but a 12 yrs kid seeing his mom in such state..nothing worse than dat..
even ishra's scenes they didn't shown much...but shagun's acting and her state..taken the episode..m

Aahh.. from where to start! I loved the title you chose! Opposite of Love.. Damnnn Perfect and the quote, Brilliant!👏

I will start with ISHRA and other Bhalla members... those little family moments and teaching Raman different ways of saying I LOVE YOU was too cutee!!!

Ruhi's line made me go 😲 hahahha!
"Papa, Ishima kithni pretty lag rahi hai, aur apna muh dehko.. Ishima ko dekhke flat hogaye!" 😆😆

Romi was at his best today.. Teasing ka koi limit nahi!😉
First one...Bhai, pappi mat kr dena.. bhabhi nahi hoon mein! ROFL!😆
Second one about kiss - Romi's naughty line... my G mind got activated! for a second, i thought of all those OS'es written in the forum!😉😆

Then the the eyelock of the most beautiful couple! I lovedd Ishita's saree.. omg! Raman's choice was super classy and when Ishita wore that it made her look more elegant and super duper gorgeous! Jab amne saamne aye, RKB's stared at fully and then stopped at the wrong place😆😆😉 and that cute hand-in-hand scene! Toshijii.. thenku ji thenku... 😉

Mainly, i loved the comparsion of love you made on Ruhi and Adi and how perfect it is! I feel they showed the reality here and I strongly believe Adi will start loving Ishita from now on! Lol, im trying to be optimistic!😉

Honeymoon Suite... Mr Aggrawal, Mrs Malhotra aur Mr.Chopra!! hahahahha!! watta cute scene! yeh dono jab mauka mile tab chek chek shuru!😆 RKB got irritated!😆

and those few ishra moments before the call was mesmerizing and magical.. mere dil ki heartbeat theez hogayi unko dekhke! 😳 Kash they showed a bit more! *yeh dil maange more*😉

Divyanka's expression on those scenes were BANG ON! I mean hw did she do that! Wowww!!
Karan's stare and smile made me go Dead Flat!😳 He was looking freaking hot and handsome today😳

and after the call, I totally loved Ishita's maturity..👏 Its difficult to see such a character in Real life and also in Dramas. Uniqueness of YHM! "Humare bache ko humare zarorat hai"! woww!! and I noticed Raman.. He was swelling in pride!

Now, Shagun-adi

Poor boy, my heart definitely went out to him and shagun. I did feel terrible for Shagun but at the same time I realized karma hits back! a perfect example.. if she looked behind 6 years... Raman did beg her like this on the same!

Ashok's dialouge was BANG ON again!! "tum mere bank balance se pyaar kia tha"! wahh what a realization!

I really hope once Adi is bought back to Bhalla house, he gets unconditional love from all esp IshRa! Shagun ka toh no idea.. she will use her gandi tricks to get back Raman! its soo scarry even to think!

P:S : Gan Di is on Editing Spree! 😉 3 collages! awesumm! First one being my Favourite😳 RKB ka intense look.. I can't handle it any more!😉

P.S.S : Ashok's usage of words... Meri Biwi, Mere Dharam Patni! I was BAFFLED AND LOST!🤣 I swear.. it cant go anymore crazy!😉😆

No idea on how Monday's episode will turn up! What was with Mihika! Shitt she actually married Assoak!🤢
