Keeping Hostages for ransom has nothing to with Islam , its an illegal and unethical practice which is not only done by some Muslims, but also with some people who have different religion or even for some who don't have religion.

This is your answer. It clearly says

Too many interpretations of the Quran to be honest...too many people take advantage and exchange words which were clearly not stated.

On topic I don't find it disgusting, each to their own and anyway hardly any Muslims are getting married to their first cousins everyone's breaking into their second, third cousins.

Some are married outside the family.

First cousin marriages are not that common, most I've seen marry their second or third cousins. And as mentioned it's not compulsory to marry your cousin it's an option just as it's not a must you marry 4 wives. Sadly there is too many misconceptions about islam out there.

It's their culture, tradition!!

Not only theirs, but we have this among Hindu Telugu people too.. although, in our community it happens between children of a brother and children of his sister.
On a personal level, one may not like to marry even the class fellows they grew up with, but, it's their culture, allowed in their religion.. like in our community, we are almost brought up with the idea of marrying one of our cousins, so, they're OK with it. There are even instances of romantic love brewing among cousins, as I have seen in my community.
EDIT : In my community, we do not call such cousins 'bhaiya', we have different 'names' for such rishtey 😆 that rishta itself is a different one (baava - maradalu) if anyone knows here.

In my community ( Ezhava, Thiyya ,Kshatriya- South Indian Malayali Community) such marriages are allowed (but definitely not a compulsion ) ..and its the same here - offsprings of opposite sex siblings are allowed to get married, as in, offsprings of brother-brother or sister-sister are not allowed to get married.. personally i would never go for it ..its just freaky in my opinion..

But unlike your community, a common word "Ettan" or "Etta" is used for both brother & husband.. but even that is on the decline thankfully..

You and I might not agree but at least respect their beliefs. People of all faith still practice it and still do it today.

so you agree that what ISIS is doing right? Because that's exactly what they are doing. during war time they are keeping people for hostages and killing them. they ask for ransom to their families. when they don't get it they kill them. it says it in the Quran. 47:4 "strike [their] necks until."

Ohh that's very different.. 😲 I wonder why such usage though... as in the genesis of a language in relation to the social changes? And, here, upper SI, we have different words for different rishtey...but here also we have such common words :) ...it's confusing actually lol.
BTW, any telugus here?? I wanna know if girls are married to a relation of 'mamaiyya" = as in uncle for a girl(uncle-neice rishta here). Mamaiyya also refers to father-in-law!

I'm saying this one more time. ISIS have NO link to Islam whatsoever. They are NOT MUSLIMS. They are misusing Islam and reading quotes which are untrue and baseless.

Just because these people quote in the name of Allah, it's all a farce, they aren't Muslims. They aren't Muslims. These are non-Muslims who have a place in hell.
