Ok,let me say that with every written part,I complain that "This was the hardest part to write!"😆This is the truth,again!😆I know when I'm not satisfied when I write something.The thing is,I myself know that I could've written this much,much better.I read it over and over a hundred times,but I don't have the nerves to write more and correct it.For now let this be it,and I will correct it some other time.

Part 8

RK was standing on the street.He felt like he was struck by a lightning.He silently watched Madhu go away further and further.She didn't turn,not even once.He wondered what he should do.He wanted to talk to her,to clear things between them,but she just walked away.She didn't want to talk to him,he thought.He slowly started walking towards his car.He went inside and started driving.He couldn't stop thinking about her.After almost a month without her he saw her.When she wasn't here he often wandered if all this time far away from him left a trace on her.He wanted to see if she had missed him as much as he missed her.And now he saw her and got his answer.No.Nothing...She looked as beautiful as ever.She was wearing violet-green salwar kameez and dupatta with violet-turquiz stripes.Her hair was gathered in a braid and she had discrete make up.She looked like in the old times when she was his Madhu.All that was now missing was her beautiful smile..."I gave her up then."-a quick thought crossed his mind.He was struck by it.That was the truth.He really gave her up.He was the one that left her.Not her.She didn't go anywhere,she was right there."How could I have been so stupid?"-he got mad at himself."It's all my fault."-he thought.

He arrived at the mansion with all these thoughts occupying his mind.Bittuji and Radha were sitting in the living room.Bittuji stood up "Chief...Where were you?I have some news for you."-he wanted to tell RK that Madhu is back,but RK lifted his hand and said "I know Bittuji.I know that Madhu is here.As a matter of fact,I just saw her." Bittu and Radha shared looks.Bittu was confused."You met bhabhiji?Where?" "On the street."-RK answered. "She didn't want to talk to me.She...just walked away." Radha was quiet.She was waiting for this opportunity.Later she has to talk to Madhu."Chief..."-Bittu tried to talk to RK,but in one fast movement RK was at the stairs and he went up to his room,"...you didn't try to talk to her?" -he was left in the middle of the sentence.He looked at Radha again.She didn't say a word.

RK went into his room.He stopped in the middle.The picture of Madhu on the street kept coming back to his mind.He suddenly heard a familiar voice."I heard that that Chawlbala is back." He turned and saw Deepali standing in his room. "You again?"-he got angry."How many times do I have to tell you not to come into my room?How many times do I have to remind you of that?" She looked at him and said innocently "-No need for harsh words."-she said."Why are you suddenly mad?I didn't do anything."-she added.Then she took a deep breath and said with a mild irony. "-I have a feeling I'm not actually the one you are mad at...Right?"-she smiled.RK gave her a killer look but she continued her innocent little game."I have a feeling that you are mad at...that Chawlbala."RK clenched his teeth.Bittuji came inside the room and heard everything.Deepali continued. "-What did she do this time?That Chawl-bala!Sorry...your beloved Madhu!How did she humiliated you this time?" RK looked at Deepali like he could strangle her.Bittuji got afraid that he might do something reckless.Deepali put her hand across her face and smiled "I really don't get it RK,really.What are you waiting for?Are you waiting for her to spit you in the face,is that what you're waiting for?How low are you gonna fall for that.."-she started counting with her teeth clenched-"..lying,sneeking,deceiving..." RK lifted his hand and looked at Deepali like he could kill her.She immediately stopped talking. "-Bittuji..."-RK said to Bittu calmly but barely restraining himself,"tell this...this serpent that she should know better when she's playing with fire.Tell her that if she doesn't want to burn herself,she better leave.Now!" Deepali's face got serious."Oh!..."-she said with anger. "I can't believe this!...I am a serpent?!Me?I really can't believe this!You are still insulting me and you are still defending her?!You are still defending that Chalwbala?!You are really impossible!"-she clenched her teeth.RK didn't say anything."If you don't want to see the truth and you hide from it"-she said angrily,"I'm the one who's gonna open your eyes!" She turned towards Bittu and said "Your chief asked me how many times does he have to remind me not to come into his room didn't he?Now I have to remind your chief of something too.Tell your chief ..."-she turned towards RK while talking to Bittuji,"-Madhubala left him on the altar!She tricked him,she deceived him!She played him as a fool and embarrassed him in front of the whole world!She spit on his love!On his honest and sincere feelings!His love meant nothing to her!NOTHING!...Let him never ever forget that!In case he wants to go look for her,or in case he wants to throw me out of his room again!"-she clenched her teeth and then left in a hurry before RK could say anything.RK nervously took one vase from the desk and broke it of the floor."Chief...chief...calm down."-said Bittuji."You know how she's like.She's like a snake,she spits her venom everywhere.Don't let her words disturb you." But the damage was done-Deepali's truth made RK depressed again. "Bittuji,go.Go away,leave me alone." "Chief..."-Bittu tried."Go away"-RK said and he took one bottle of scotch.Seing the bottle in RK's hands Bittu tried to reason with him "Chief,please don't drink,I mean..." "I said go away!!"-RK yelled.Bittu immediately left the room.

Evening came.RK came the stairs slowly.He almost tripped but he managed to stay on his feet.Radha saw him."Rishu?" "Leave me maa..."-he said slowly and took one sip from the bottle he carried with himself."Where are you going at this hour?"-she asked him when she saw that he moved towards the door."I said leave me..."-he mumbled again and slowly opened the door.He went outside."Oh my God,he's gonna get himself killed.Where is Bittuji?"-she quickly started dialing Bittu's number.

Madhu was still awake.She thought of the day that had passed.RK and Padmini's words were the things she thought about.Suddenly she heard a sound at the door.It was coming from out side.She got out of bed and came to the door.She listened carefully.Nothing.She wanted to go back to bed,when she heard knocking on the door."Who could it be?"-she wondered.She slowly and carefully opened the door.RK was standing outside."RK...?"-she was shocked.In the very next moment she overcame her shock. "-What are you doing here...?...Leave!"-she said."I wanted to talk to you."-he said slowly."We have nothing to talk about!"-she said but then she stepped outside and moved closer to him.Something in his voice made her do that."Are you...are you drunk?" His eyes were glowing.She understood that what she presumed was true. "What kind of bakwas is this?-she said angrily. "Nahi,Madhu,I just..."-RK started mumbling but she interrupted him "-I don't want to hear anything.Leave!" "-Nahi,Madhu..." "-I said..." "-Shhh,why are you speaking so loud?"-he said and put his finger on his mouth.He looked right and left and said quietly "-You're gonna wake up the neighbours...One was yelling at me the last time...So...Shhh..."-he looked at her with his eyes wide open and with the finger on his mouth.Madhu looked at him impatiently. "-What do you want RK?"-she moved away from him on the right side and crossed her arms.RK slowly moved and came right against her.This move made Madhu lean against the wall and put her crossed arms down.She looked at him and although RK was drunk she felt that she doesn't want to stand so close to him."-I have...one..."-he showed his finger and came even closer to her-"...one question.I have only one question to ask you." She looked at his eyes which looked so sweet in that moment.That made her confused. "RK...now is not the time or place to ask questions."-she replied,but it seemed like he didn't hear her answer so he continued "-Why...why did you leave me?"-he asked her sadly.She was caught by his question.She couldn't answer.He continued "-I said sorry.Why did you go?I thought you forgave me...But you lied to me.And you said that I"-he showed towards himself,"always lie." Madhu had no answer.She just kept looking at RK without saying anything. "Even that person..."he continued, "you know who...the one I always say "Out" to..."-he waved with his hand,"she said that you never loved me...Is it true?...You never loved me?" Madhu was speechless.RK's sincere questions made her confused.She didn't know what to answer. "-RK...you are drunk!"-she finally said and pushed him away but RK lost balance and he almost fell if she didn't catch him by his jacket in the last moment.Their eyes met.Their faces were so close to each other.Something in Madhu gave up in that moment.She couldn't take her eyes of RK.It was like for that brief moment everything was gone,every hurt,every pain,every suffering.It was like it was just the two of them and their love in this whole world. "-Madhu?"-Madhu heard Padmini's voice and she quickly let go of RK.She felt uneasy."Madhu"-the voice was now closer and Padmini came outside."What.."-she stopped when she saw RK."Sasuma.."-RK mumbled,"namaste"-he said.
