I agree..LRMB is his best work till date..Loved the film..3 Idiots had a few annoying & OTT scenes but on the whole, it was a really entertaining film..Hirani IMO, is one of the few guys who knows how to balance concept based/ artsy cinema & commercial potboilers..He doesn't bore ppl with dark themes..Neither does he go full out & show mindless masala..He strikes a balance really well & i have enjoyed all his films till date..Lets see if he can manage that with PK 😆

Don't know abt the movie...didn't see it...but the BB teaser was pretty basic right? Greek god...with beautiful damsel in distress...boats...songs...dance...action...

I think it was pretty straightforward and not pretentious...

Yes tht is true...now if he cud only do away with his love for semi naked guys as a means to show hum our ...his work would be nearly perfect...look at LRMB...it was close to perfect...

expected... i am Hirani fan but after Munna Bhai, he has gone down with 3 idiots and pK IMHO. The trailor is trying to project a cute funny film but he shouldn't push to make every movie like that... let the movie reach where it has to reach..he has slowly started to force his vision upon audience... seems those munna bhai days are gone😔

It appears so because of over promotion. Same as HNY- far too much promotion.
Either the story is overtold during the promotion, and there is no surprise element left to go and see (in case of HNY) or
There is so much hype around the suspense about 'what' the story could be that nobody cares about the unknown element ( in case of P.K)

I think the promotions just get the people who want to go on the first day in. Most people go and watch it after reading reviews or hearing about how good movie is from friends

The promotions are just to get the people in through the door to recover basic cost of movie

With the level if promotions going on, there is a possibility people will even be too tired to go and see it as soon as it opens - no surprise element left.

Why are you saying its pretentious? Aamir is perfectly suitable as an oddball character. We don't know the story yet..Teaser is great IMO. All the actors in the movie are good. Expecting a rocking movie...
