Varad made the decision to stay with his daughter and wife and keep away from Mansi , all this to be a good father to Kavya. Apparenlty Astha has made him realize that Kayva needs him while Mansi can get another Varad. His compromise is for his daughter , so he has decided to be with Sojal.

First question. When he was sleeping with Mansi and spending his day and night with her, he did not think about Kayva? And about Mansi getting some other Varad?

Second. Why should Sojal forgive the infidelity. Except for keeping the family together for Kayva, everything else is broken between Varad and Sojal, to the point Varad has blamed Sojal herself for his affair. It was not a casual fling, it was an affair where Mansi could have been pregnant. And Mansi openly challenged Sojal that Varad is not happy with her.
In the background of all this , why should Sojal forgive Varad. And I was really annoyed when Astha told Varad that he should give a chance to Sojal and this time, Sojal will win his heart. That was super lame. This is women's empowerment? Sojal has to earn the heart of her cheating lying husband?

Samir is a very good actor and has done a good job of portraying Varad's confusion. But, Varad is a very flawed character, probably flawed than anybody else in the show. Because being married he maintained another relationship, and tried to justify it.

I am not saying Sojal should break with him etc...because she also has to think of Kavya. But, it should not be Sojal's effort to build the relationship, equal effort has to come from Varad.

Frankly, how many women can forgive and have a happy relationship with a husband who did sleep with another woman, and justified it , blamed wife for it. Its absolutely unpalatable and sickening that The production house and CVs are trying to take it for granted that Sojal anyway has to forgive and lead her life with him, sooner or later.

Worst...Varad has still promised Mansi that he will come to meet her in Singapre every month. Why? He either needs to end this relation or tell his wife the equation. What does it mean he will live with wife and daughter, and go once a month to meet his mistress?? What kind of logic is that and why should Sojal be okay with it??

Varad is a two timing man who has expected both Sojal and Mansi to act accoding to his wishes. First he wanted his wife to be as he wants...instead of trying to understand she is a separate human being and needs some respect and affection. Then now he wants to decide when and where Mansi should be, for his convinience!! Why not just break up with her once and for all and let her go...she will be upset but she will find someone else..

Sojal has many flaws including jealousy, low thoughts, plotting and politics. But she also never got the dignity, love and respect she deserved from her husband and family. Varad is not trying to address that problem at all. I am appalled that there is no scene or conversation between mother and son, Anjali and Varad regarding all this. Anjali is the one who should have talked with Varad and gotten some sense into him. Instead its Astha doing that. Did not like that. Astha's conversation was fine, no problem with it. But Anjali 'stalk with him should have moved him more.
Secondly, Shlok and AStha's respectable behavior with Varad about this topic is very annoying. Granted he is elder brother. But his acts are beneath his position in the family. Everybody is behaving as if he just made asmall mistake which he will realize with some convincing...and once he decides to stay with Sojal all will be okay. Why?

What kind of women's empowerment is this? This is worse than Abuse. This is also another way of treating that wife like dirt. Astha forgave Shlok's emotional abuse to her, Sojal is on her way to forgive infidelity and Anjali will likely readily forgive all the domestic abuse of Sahib.

Where is the women's empowerment in this?? I am really appalled that Varad is still two timing Mansi and Sojal and his family members are thinking that just because he apologized all is fine! I understand this is Star Plus but sorry, this is not nayi soch. This is still taking us 50 years behind of today.

Would have been much happy if they showed Sojal and Astha setting up business or some work together and getting their own income. Would have been nice if Anjali and Astha encouraged Sojal to do some course and get an education , to stand on her own feet. Would have been better if Sojal decided to use her knowledge of sarees and garments and jewellery to set up her own run from home business. That would be truly women's empowerment. Then Anjali and Astha would have really helped the cause.

Constantly telling Sojal that her only end goal in life is to get back with Varad and nothing else matters..that was extremey lame. It would have been much better if Varad came back to Sojal after she proved that she can be independent and get respect in society without him. Varad should have come to Sojal with true respect for her , rather than all this. And Anjali should have been the first person to encourage Sojal to get an education, job and independence. Anjali has faced abuse for years because of lack of those things and support. !
Kavya would have benefited from her mother's courage !

Boo to the CVs for mishandling such a delicate and sensitive issue.

Exactly my thgts..all these things crossed my mind too..bt wasnt ferling motivated enough to write it here consideribg d episodes they dished out in ths week..
Wat msg CVs wanted to give here??Women hv to accept cheating husbands for d sake of their children? Dnt understabd d purpose of ths track at all apart frm ruining Varad's character n makin Sojal realize how shallow she s..

M amazed to c Astha/ Anjali b Shlok consideting it as a mistake?? Ths s not sm random mistake bt infedility n its serious..

CVs if u cant show such trivial issues with care n sensitivity n seriousness then pls dnt mock these things ths way atleast..infedility s serious offence n entire family gets destroyed due to it..

True PRads, the episodes they gave this week, it made me feel the writers and CVs have changed and they are end tracks in another way than originally desired.
Agreed Sojal Varad are not leads and they are side story. But CVs should not send such social messages that wife should forgive things like infidelity or abuse just because she is expected to.
IF Sojal went and slept with someone because she is unhappy with Varad, would the whole Agnihotri family including Varad have forgiven her?
Astha is an educated woman, earning woman making presentations and winning bids. Should she not encourage her Jaubai to get educated and stand on her feet?

Jalpari..wonderful post and all valid points.
This show raised many realistic and prevalent issues happening in the society now ; but the solutions they are shoving on us viewers are not right.
Yesterday I made a post in Nimmy's post that I would like to see a proper closure to Varad's issue; bigamy, infidelity should not be taken easy. I am equally appalled on the response of Anjali, Astha after Varad asked for forgiveness. And her mother Jaya..I have no words to say😡..she is just a money minter , nothing else. What will Sojal learn from a such a mother, she herself is not a bad person but due to her upbringing; she might turn new leaf but has to understand what she is stepping into if she forgives Varad and moves on further.
I would like to see something in the lines of Izazzat or Arth where the husband was left alone and the "other women" Mansi is not a psycho or vamp either. If CV's can show something like that where none of them are right but were due to circumstances that would be really nice. But, I have very less hopes.

Great post as always jalpari.👏 👏 👏
You have raised some very valid points here. Varad doing a volte face was just plain amazing. Based on the convo with Aastha. wish it had been Anjali to drill some sense into his head n not Aastha. It is too much to expect this from the CV"S who are dealing with a sensitive subject delicately and instead they are trampling upon the sensibilities of Women, in the guise of nayi soch.

Jaya is not a role model at all and y'day for the first time Sojal opposed her counsel. will she able to bear thro and also think of her own future??? I think it is not over yet and they may have some other track with the 3 of them. Varad promising to visit Mansi every month was a LAME AND STUPID thing to do. He had not reformed at all and others need to realise this. Am happy that Sojal told him she needs time and she needs to find out about this too before making a decision.

Wish the Cv's and writers read and heed these points before tackling such a delicate subject and also the effect it can have on the psyche of a child.

thanks Nim Var. Jaya is such a loser parent. I think Sojal's situation is pretty sad...she doesnt have a dad, her mom has no real brain and her husband has a mistress. The only genuine love that Sojal has got comes from Kayva, Anjali and Astha.

True, he is still two-timing if he intends to visit Manasi in Spore! So what was the point in showing that he deleted all their photos together. Nothing makes sense in this serial anymore.
