The guy enjoys 3.1 m fans on Twitter as well
So he is rich and famous lol

He's also doing TVCs for various brands!
And was on Times List of Most Influential people.

He's obviously really brain smart-IIT + IIM doesn't happen to ordinary folks. Has clearly used all the marketing tricks he learnt during his MBA!😆

This is actual brain drain!
Studying at institutions like IIT-IIM at subsidised fees on the Government's expense and then wasting all that education by doing something completely different!😆
Have any of you read his compilations of essays, 'What young India wants?'...Thats actually far better than any of his fiction books he has written till date!

You wouldn't believe the no of engineers who've become writers-another is Durjoy Dutta who graduated from DCE(again an excellent institute)-he's writing for shows like Veera & Sadda Haq now!
I'm all for people exploring new things and finding careers which they enjoy(in fact I completely empathise with them😆). Every IIM grad doesn't need to go into i-banking! As long as they are good at the alternate career:)

Haven't read the essays! his newspaper columns are enough-he adds a comma wherever he feels like😆

Adding to his list of achievements, he's also narrated a show for ABP news:)

Chetan Bhagat should call himself a scriptwriter than a author.

I loved the five point someone book (which was good) but then I read one night at call center ... pathetic book.
I have not read any other book of his and neither have I watched any of his films other than 3 Idiots.
So, I can only talk about the fact that I understand how bad he must have felt when he wasn't given due credit for 3 idiots. Contract or no contract, the writer should be given his due .. no wonder there is a dearth of good stories in bollywood because not many people want to become writers.. who would want to put years of hardwork into a script and then see producers/directors/hero/heroine become the richest and famous while leaving the poor writer to die an unknown death? Do hero/heroine really contribute more to a film than a writer (who is the real base of the film)? .. It's just that hero/heroine are more visible to the audience but the writer should at least get his share of recognition and even royalty. That is only fair.

Don't think CB is any great of a writer but well he writes for the simple minded youth and the older ones who don't mind reading a light hearted book. Not every book has to be at Shakespeare's level .. some people just want to read the simple literature .. and then the way he writes connects to the Hinglish speaking people. Whatever it maybe .. his stories/films are any day better than the typical masala overloaded 100-crore targeting mass crap.

So .. more power to CB and hope his next book does well .. the concept looks really good.

The only book that is readable from this bakwaas writer is five point someone and its because of the concept not his storytelling abilities. I don't bring down this moron because he doesn't provide high end literacy, its because he is a cheap writer who always has one eye on what will make the story popular to mass rather than making the story beautiful. If you want reading beautiful yet simple stories try Khaled Hosseini and THEN read this donkey's book n compare. Its heaven n hell. Two states is officially the worst English book I've ever read in my life. This guy is earning massive simply out of luck.

I've read some of the essays of that book. They were good, I liked how he explained some complex things in a very easy manner.
