Amrita Singh's negative role in Kalyug

Aamir Khan is not the only leap year actor (one who takes four year breaks!). Amrita Singh who was last seen in 23rd March 1931 Shaheed back in 2002 and more recently on the small screen in Balaji Telefilms' Kkvyanjali is making her comeback in Vishesh Film's Kalyug. The film is to be directed by Mohit 'Zeher' Suri. After parting ways with husband Saif Ali Khan, there were rumors earlier this year that she may feature in Karan Johar's Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna.
"I play the negative lead in the film. It deals with the po*nographic world and I am in control of it." Quizzing her on why she chose a bold subject like Kalyug, she was quick to answer, "I did this film only for Mukesh (Bhatt) and Mahesh (Bhatt)".
Years back Amrita Singh had worked in three films with Mahesh Bhatt – Naam, Kabzaa and Thikana. In fact Thikana also had a theme similar to Kalyug.
Kalyug is slated to release early next year.
