HeartWrenching Ashlok- Deciphering thier dialogues today

Kudos to the EBP team👏 for churning out such awesome screenplay and performances this week...today was also a very packed episode where every scene mattered a lot.

The highlight of today's episode was Jyoti's plea for unity and normalcy in the family. She does not want to know who did what..she does not want to blame anyone...she just wants her family back intact. But..Jyoti forgot to ask her Mother why she is on Astha's side. And Jyoti being a victim of abuse and manipulations from Abhay..she should be the first one to recognize the signs and support her mother. Which I think will happen soon.

Knowing that there are too many players on the ground now...with Anjali's parents and Jyoti being there...Shlok now took to openly and publicly announcing to Astha that he planning to end thier relationship..( which he knows he cannot end by his side alone...)

Why did Shlok do that..Here are my answers for it..its HAS theory that Shlok is doing all this intentionally to protect some people...
1) Shlok is again giving Astha a way out of all this anger, bitterness and politics . This situation is very hard for Astha too...and she as a woman can choose to be out of this relationship where she believes her FIL to be wrong person. Instead of facing so many criticisms and taunts...Shlok is giving her an option..to leave the battleground. Always..in war...that option is always there..accept defeat and leave the battle ground...or stay , and fight.
2) Also by openly announcing his plans..he is calming the monster Niranjan. The moment NA took Astha's name while talking to Jyoti..Shlok takes over . As expected..NA went and did his happy dance for his bacha's behavior with Astha.
3) He is indirecly giving Astha 10 days time to bring proof and gather her support. If Astha brings proof and witness that she is right...Shlok will have to give up.He is basically hurrying up the track by asking Astha to get proof for everyone to see and get this done with.

Just think..which husband who is so angry with his wife and wants to divorce her...is going to say hey im going to divorce you on so and so day...and not today..?? Who talks like that? When we are so angry that we want to be out of the relation...do we say hey lets break up on 10 days later?? No. If Shlok cannot even see her face he should be leaving her today or filing for divorce today !!

All this means...there is something he is planning on Visarjan day...and he needs NA to be calm and unruffled until then. He needs NA to think he is winning...until Visarjan day.

Now for the beautiful and heartwrenching conversation on the terrace between Ashlok:

First notice how different his body language and demeanour are on the terrace compared to the scene in front of his father. This is very sad Shlok who is going through pain, and has given up on certain part of his life. And he does not even lift his eyes to look at Astha...he knows what he is doing and saying is so wrong and he cannot meet her eyes. He cannot face her...today the Shlok on the terrace was a guilty Shlok .
He knows that with all that he is doing with her..he has lost rights to be a good husband...he does not allow him to touch her...because now he is on a much lower pedestal than her. He tells her that now nothing is left in this relation..because after hurting and insulting her so much...he knows he cannot have her back . Basically he knows that now he is not worth Astha.
See what reply Astha gives...this is important because exactly what Astha is saying now...someday Shlok is going to say the same to her..when the bigger truths are revealed and Astha wants to go away...Shlok will say the same things-

Mein man se judi hun...Khatam kehne se rishta khatam nahi hota...saat janam ka rishta hai..bappa bhi nahi todsake..
I love you a lot and I know you love me too...
hum bichadne ke liye nahi jude hain...
I am not going to repeat my mistake and sign the divorce paper.( Shlok cannot obtain divorce with an allegation of she insulted my father...one sided divorce needs much bigger reasons than that. )
mein sahi hun yeh mein jaanti hun...aap bhi samajhjayenge...

Can you guys forsee Shlok saying those same things to her...when she has had enough of Shlok and goes away...and he has to prove to her why he did all this? I think that is where track is heading. Thats why after Astha goes away..we see a very thoughtful Shlok. Because he also knows why he is doing all this and he is right...but he is wronging AStha and he will have to pay for that. What AStha said to him today that he will keep in mind and say to her.
But he will also have to prove his truth and make up to her. Lets see...

Main thing.,.,Shlok gave AStha an out of this by talking about ending the relation. Astha has declined that option and told him she is not going to sign on divorce papers. Which means technically there cannot be any divorce, unless he resorts to forgery or blackmailing her.

Lets see who the whole angle of Anjali's parents being here will turn out..as I assumed Anjali's parents are staying and sticking with her.

Meanwhile Sojal opened her mouth today...and she will have to eat her words when the same Baba prefers Mansi as bahu . It will be only Astha and Anjali to her rescue and she will learn her lesson.

I only wish Anjali spoke out today in support of AStha when NA, Jyoti and Shlok were towering on her. Its only Anjali who can tilt the balance.

Thanks for this post. Shlok is not able to face Aastha, hence he keeps saying that he doesn't even want to look at her face. When she told him once that she will bring him on the right path, he told her that is why she loved her even more. When she said she won't sign the divorce papers I could sense his relief. He is just giving into Baba's expectations knowing that Aastha will stick to him come what may. How does Avinash express all these sentiments without any body or eye movement? Tonight's episode has reassured that Shlok is aware of Baba's games.

Awesome post yaar!!😊loved your reasons for Shlok's behaviour,really want to believe he does all these for a reason..But ,why ???..My quetion to CVs why Shlok is not sharing anything with Astha,If at all he knows anything...I am sure she is always there to side him in his plans...Dont get his master plan ,bad mouthing ayi and biwi to catch his baba redhanded...😲..In the process he is hurting two best souls who are literally ready to give up anything for him..My POV...CVS better give proper reasons for his behaviuor...I also think its better he doesnt know anything about Baba,which is easy and uncomplicated ..believable!!!..and realising his follies later on😊...

Rekha..you touched the same point I was mulling on. This will from Kalindi ex coming now...and Shlok's thing for Visarjan day...everything is related.
One more small point...when Shlok was upset with AStha the other day...he goes and breaks the photo of kirloskers., just as Kayva comes in...Why? Earlier he did that once, when Astha was with him to hurt her.
But when your wife is not in the room, why would you break the picture of her family? .Rather natural thing would be to break thier wedding picture or something..isn't it?

I am going back to my long back HAS posts where I had speculated that Shlok is not Niranjali's son but rather he Kalindi/Avdhoot son. Many a time in the past..Avdhoot has made mein baap hoon dialogues which were very ambiguous to me. And Astha is Anjali's daughter...Nana Nani are her real Nana Nani. Thats why when inviting them for her wedding..when they talk about missing their grandson..she tells them to think of her as their granddaughter and invites them for wedding.
I think the way it will turn out...big shocker will be if Avdhoot gave up his son to Anjali because she was desperate for a son...due to NA. And gave her daughter in return to Avdhoot...
What if Astha is really Anjali and Niranjan's daughter...she is blaming her own Baba...

Very likely when Shlok was in Mumbai..he met either Kalindi's ex or her son. Or he is her son.

I know most of this is farfetched...but from the beginning episodes Shlok as pursued Astha with such zeal ...there is much more he knows through every situation. Astha has been under Shlok's tutelage and protection all along...and the knowledge that all this was planned is what will hurt her so much she will go away from Shlok.

I had written this in another post today , copying it here

Shlok is now provocating Astha to take steps to expose NA. He knows Astha loves him and to save her love she will prove what NA is doing. He provoked Astha the same way with Jyoti's old MIL epsidoe with abortions. He told Astha she has to bring the proof as nobody will otherwise believe her. So when he is telling Astha he hates her he makes her desperate to find a way to prove herself so that Everybody sees the truth about NA. Shlok wants her to expose NA as she is his instrument in this fight to save his mother and all other women from such people like NA. Shlok always misbehaves with Astha to provocate her . This has been his game plan from his first suhaag raat where he was making her more strong and mature.

Yes Shlok knows that he is playing a dangerous game and hurting Astha a lot in the process for which he will have to pay back and earn her trust , love and respect . That is why he is Neelkanth , who has to bear a lot of pain, but let the venom be in the neck and not let it spread.

He has to be strong and not let others be harmed. It may so happen that once Astha understands his real reasons for this game , she may forgive him . NA himself broke Anjali's managalsutra in the precap. So does that indicate that she will divorce him at some point as she will do everything to protect Ashlok and her parents .

I agree with your interpretation of neelkanth ...Shiva who swallows poison to save the world...ther e must be some complicated reason tfor Shlok to hurt his Aai and Astha if his knows the truth...he may know that NA is very capable of greater Evil.
Will the long lost sister pooja come into picture? Lets see.

Loved your take on NA breakibg mangalsutra...I do not want any forgiveness track for NA. Anjali should tell him on his face she does not need him..her children are there for her.

Astha will stick to him..yes..only until NA's whole truth is exposed.
And when bigger truths are exposed...she will leave him. Thats my gut feeling.

For now in next 10 days...she will get Jyoti, Sojal on her side. And she and Anjali may expose NA on visarjan day. Lets see.
