Mardaani 2nd Weekend Box Office Collections

Mardaani maintained a steady pace and had a decent second weekend. The film collected 1.5 crores on Friday, 2 crores on Saturday and 2.5 crores on Sunday. The film now stands with a total collection of 29.20 crores at the domestic box office.

The Rani Mukerji film had a decent second weekend. The film showed a good jump on Sunday. Considering that the new release Raja Natwarlal has been a downer at the box office, Mardaani scored due to it. The film has been made tax free in Maharashtra, U.P and M.P circuits which are the mass belts and the film is surely benefiting from this.

Dealing with a serious issue of child trafficking, the film was garnered with good critics responses and the film has come so far thanks to its positive word of mouth publicity. Compared to other woman centric films of the year such as Queen and Bobby Jasoos, this film has been performing much better.

Rani MARDAANI shows box-office power!

Yash Raj Film's Pradeep Sarkar directed Rani Mukerji starrer, MARDAANI, has put up a commendable show and received not just critical accolades but more importantly grabbed box-office rewards as well.

MARDAANI, which netted a creditable 25 crore during its opening week from India, is quite steady in the second week as well, and is likely to end its run netting in the 35-40 crore band, a commendable effort indeed, taking into account the fact that it did not boast of any front line male lead.

Additionally MARDAANI has done quite well in the overseas, for a female lead solo, grossing 100,000 (approx) from UK and $310,000 from the US.

Kudos to the ex-queen of Bollywood, Rani Mukerji, who has proved that she was and is indeed the Rani, and that good films and good performance work, more so if promoted well and more importantly, honestly.
