The Bad Ass
"No.no... There has to be a reason behind these dreams. Why would just a glimpse of someone give me such dreams? And that too about mom and Sanyukta. And this time, only about Sanyukta. I don't know her... Bloody hell, I don't even know her name. Then, why such dreams? And why only till that damn ocean?... Why don't I see anything more?" I reasoned with myself.
I had always kept control on my emotions, had kept myself strong in every possible situation, but that night.. "Exactly.. THAT NIGHT.. Screwed it up BIG TIME. SCREW YOU.. WHOEVER YOU ARE? GET OUT OF MY MIND AND LIFE, WILL YOU?" My voice roared in the hospital room. And then a horrifying thought gripped me. My insides churned as all those sayings rushed to my brain. All those sayings which I had never believed.
"No. no.. Those are just myths right?... You don't see future in dreams... Naah.. that's crap. Or may be that's all true. What if Sanyu..." I struggled to get the dip out of my left hand as the thought attacked my senses.
"Areyyy... Kya kar rahe ho tum? Doctorrr.. Doctorrr" The nurse shouted as she saw Randhir trying to steady himself on his feet.

"Doctor.. Randhir", Vardhan stormed into the doctor's cabin. He shook his head in despair.
"Mr. Suryavanshi. Stubborn kid your student is. He was trying to leave the hospital. Thank goodness for the heavy medicines, I shouldn't say this, but I am glad that he fainted. He NEEDS to stay in the hospital for the next 48 hours no matter what." Doctor informed him.
"Can I?" Vardhan requested. The doctor nodded in affirmation. Vardhan walked towards the room. Looking through the glass of the door, the vision in front of him shook him.
"MAAA", the room shook with the gut wrenching scream.
Shanti got up startled as she heard Shomili screaming in excruciating pain. And she knew this was not acting because there stood another horrifying vision in front of her. Anna had gone to the next level of fury. One hand in her hair and the other pressing her wound on forehead, he stood tall on her.
"Bhh.. bhauu Please.. " She tried to speak as blood oozed out fiercely from my forehead, but Promila's glare shut her up.
"Chup ek dum.. Maa nahi.. tera baap tere saamne khadaa hai.. Ek dum chup.. Ek awaaz aur nikaali to" Anna threatened me. I clutched his coat with one hand and cupped my mouth with the other. Still holding me tightly and pressing my wound even more, he made me sit on the ground. My eyes closed as the pain became unbearable. Tears strained my cheeks and I heard Anna's bone chilling tone.
"Tu jaanti thi ke ye log aane waale hain.. HAI NA" He screamed. I whimpered violently as he rubbed his thumb on my wound. "Bataaya kyun nahi mujhe.. Bol warnaa" Removing his thumb, he pressed my wound with his palm.
"B..Bhau.. K.. Kal isiliye .. aaah.. Isiliye baat ki thi aapse.. A.. Aapne su.. suna hi n.. nahi" I sobbed bitterly. "M.. Main maashi se kehne waali thi.. L... Lekin fir aap aa gaye to maine a.. aapse kahaa.. L.. Lekinn... " I struggled to free myself.
"Nahi Bhau... K.. Kasam se .. mujhe kuchh nahi pata tha. Sach mein." Shanti stammered as Anna now glared at her.
"PATIL" Still holding me Anna shouted. Patil came running to our room. "Rishi ko phone laga. Bula use yahaan.. Jaldi" He ordered him and with one last torture on my wound, he pushed me on the ground.
"Koi hoshiyari ki, to tu jaanti hai ke main tere saath kya kar sakta hoon.. Yaad hai na.. Bhooli to nahi hai na".
Walking past the door, he ordered Promila, "Darwaaza band kar.. Kuchh nahi milega in dono ko.. Khana, paani kuchh nahi.. ". And with that Promila shut the door closed and the room fell into a haunting silence. I lay there trying to bear the pain. It felt like needles pricked my forehead. I faintly heard the bed creaking as Shanti got up.
"Shomi" Shanti said as she caressed my forehead. The pain had crossed my tolerance limits and I burst down sobbing badly. "Shomi.. plzz.. bas thik ho jaayega .. main abhi dawaai laati hoon.. bas ek min." She rushed towards the cupboard. The moment she took out the first aid box, she froze on the spot.

Shanti turned around horrified, as she saw her laughing hysterically. Chills ran down her body as saw the mad rush on Shomili's face. She was sitting against the bed post now, looking at her. Forehead swollen, blood dripping from her temple, t-shirt soaked in blood. It scared the hell out of her when she saw her eyes.. Blood red, green eyes that showed as if she was possessed by a DEVIL. The box in her hand shook as she saw her friend laughing and crying at the same time.
"Mazaa aaya naa ??!!.. Ekdum Action Packed.. !!.. Hai na.. ", With that she laughed throwing her head back and eyes closed. Tears fell from her eyes as she whimpered in pain simultaneously. Breathing heavily, Shanti took nervous steps towards her.
"Dar mat.. Paagal nahi hui hoon main.. Bas ek step aur .. Bas ek.. and
Stage 1 of our plan starts", she whispered her eyes still closed.
Baffled by the response, Shanti whispered, "Shomi... Tu paagal hai.. Tujhe dekhke dar lagta hai kabhi kabhi". "Tch Tch Tch... Insult mat kar Shaanu... Dugga maa se dua kar ke ek din Bhaau ko mujhse darr lage" She said opening her eyes and giving a cruel smirk.
The door opened and Vardhan's heart broke as he saw himself lying on the bed. Yes, Randhir was nothing but a mirror. He saw himself when he looked at him. Broken, lonely and a religious lover. Everything about Randhir reminded him of himself. Arrogant intelligence, Broken family, lonely life and worshipper of his lady love. Caressing his forehead, he looked at his closed eyes. "Relax my boy.. Damn... He is again dreaming."
Torn clothes, bruised eye, I cowered at the corner of the room. The room was chilled and dark. Holding my knees close to my chest, I searched for some vision. I tried to open the window above me with shaking hands, but all in vain. My stomach grumbled out of hunger and shivered out of cold. It's been three days and I was starving. I gulped and immediately broke into a series of dry coughs. I needed water. Rubbing my arms I tried to warm myself. The door banged open and I squeezed myself more into the corner. The torch light hit my eyes and I pulled my head away.
"Nahiii.. Jaane do ... Chodooo" I begged and moved violently to free myself from his grip. Being dragged out of the room, my eyes pained at the sudden intrusion of light. Dragging me down the hallway, he opened the door and threw me inside the room. I steadied and rushed back to the door to escape but the other man caught hold of me. "Please mujhe jaane do" I begged hysterically.
Throwing me over the bed, he loomed over me. "Aaj tujhe bataaoonga main.. Is dhandhe mein zyada hoshiyaari karne se kya hota hai", he gritted. My eyes widened in horror as he removed his shirt. Putting away his belt, he inched towards me.

"SANYUKTAAA" I screamed. "Shh.. I am here.. Yahi hoon main.. " her voice zapped me out of the dream. Breathing heavily, I kept looking at her making sure that she was for real.
"How are you?.. Are you ok? I asked her holding my breath. She chuckled.
"Hospital mein tum ho and you are asking me if I am OK?" She smiled.
"How. ARE. You?" I repeated firmly as the dream had scared the living hell out of me. I was shaken and definitely not in a mood of jokes.
"Hey, See.. I am all fine.. You just saw a bad dream ok.. ? Just relax" She assured me cuddling my cheek. Good, Effing good. Her one touch eased out every tension out of my body. I stared at her eyes, which I guess I was becoming a pro in, and warmth rushed through my veins. Exactly, exactly this is what I want to look at all my life, not those eerie green orbs. "Meri neend haraam karke chain se so rahi hogi kahin", I cursed her again.

"Shomi" Shanti's voice broke my hell. Lips dry, eyes teary I got up. I touched my forehead. I was sweating profusely and I felt like I have had a race with the train. It felt my heart would just break the ribcage. Shanti offered me water and I gulped it down in one go. "Fir se wahi" she asked. I nodded my head trying to catch myself. "Ek baat poochhoon" she asked. I again nodded. "Ye sab planning kaise ki? Kuchh gadbad ho jaati to" She asked.
"Tujhe pata hai what happens when a man gets a good f**k?" I asked her. She shrugged blushing. I chuckled. "He forgets everything. Aur fir jo sabse last cheez suni hoti hai na .. wo yaad rehti hai." I smirked. She gave me a confused look and I explained her. "Human Psychology Shaanu babby. Tu kal nahaane gayee thee tab main balcony mein thi. Committee members garden mein the. I made sure they see me. Jaise hi unhone mujhe dekha, maine unhe Namaste kia. Usse ek raat pehle maine unhe background verification ke baare mein baat karte hue suna tha. Wo to tabhi aane waale the lekin bhau ghar par nahi tha. To kal unhone mujhse poochha ke bhau kab milenge. Bas maine bol diya ke bhau 11.15 se pehle milenge. 11:15 wo nikal jaate hain. ISILIYE Rishi ko 11:15 tak ka time diya tha. Taaki uske baad wo free rahe. Bas itna keh kar main andar aa gayee.." I smirked.
"Ok lekin iska wo human psychology se kya lena dena" She asked me. I laughed lightly. "Paagal, maine isliye raat ko bhau se college ki baat ki thi. Taaki wo bhadke. Aur uske baad Promila to hai hi.. I just made sure they had a Palang-TOD f**k". I smirked.
"Wo kaise kiya?" she asked getting excited. "Doodh" I smiled wickedly. "Tune doodh mein..?" She gasped and giggled. "Yep.. bas Promila ka jaadoo chal gaya aur BANG-BANG. Savere committed members aa gaye achaanak se... Aur fir wo CID round.. bas meri baat aayeee aur.." "COLLEGEE" she squeeled. "Shomi itna bada risk, flop ho jaata to.. " she asked concerned.
"Naa.. Risk hai lekin full proof.. Baaki kaam Promila ne kar diya.. Aisa ghar haath se thode hi jaane degi.. So it would have worked. Bhau ko itna to jaan gayee hoon main itne saalon mein." I said.

"Kal hum college jaa rahe hain... Anna screwed me up.. Now I'll screw him up in a BAD BAD ASS ENGINEER WAY... Shekhawat.. TU TO GAYA and Professor Suryavanshi- WAIT FOR ME..!! ", I resolved.
