Very lovely composure.

Very enjoyable interpretation of symbolism - Sun- Moon and their effects on water and rain -

I am not a poetic person at all . Having a practical science back ground, my inclination is always to have things evidence based.

Sun is the closest star to earth - burning all the time to our eyes - responsible for both creation and destruction - . It has got its own power to shine/ burn. - just like SHLOKE AGNIHOTRI.

Whereas Moon is the subplanet, has not got any power to shine it gets reflection of light from Burning sun - that's why it is soothing light - like our Aastha.

Astha's impulsiveness could be lunar effect.

Earth evolves around its own axis in 24hour and we get - day and night , we can not see moon at day time because of burning shining SUN but at night only we can see soothing light of MOON.

In the same way when SHLOKIE BOY is burning in anger/ ego/ pride - can not see the soothing effect of Aastha or Aastha's goodness or truthfulness but at night time or at dark night of life - he needs soothing light from MOON Aastha.

Earth takes 365 days to moves around the sun .

If SHLOK simulates SUN, Aastha simulates MOON ,

Then who is Earth - Anjali ( DHARITHRIMA)?

thanks swathya. i too had technical education and i'm not that good at creative writing. loved your description of sun and moon in relation to shlok and aastha.

i made a symbolism post before this about how Shlok is Sun and Fire. In that post me and suchi thought the same about anjali being the earth.
