Like any individual Aastha has her many flaws but playing victim thankfully isn't πŸ˜‰ πŸ‘ Shlock is pissed right now but Iam sure he too respects her stance , admires it but may never acknowledge it.
Since she set her boundaries will Aastha learn to appreciate boundaries ? So far she has been interfering in everybody's life. Since day one Shlock has repeatedly told her Baba is off limits . I won't say Aastha shouldn't attempt to expose Niranjan, she should do her part . But can't that be dealt with respect and maturity? Aastha correctly concluded that trust us absent but to think of it , has she ever tried to establish it ? Shlock hates lies , yet she will lie and justify it. He asks her to think befire speaking but she never bothers. She has always placed her thinking above his family's respect. What's her answer ? "I am right".
Neither has Shlock done anything to establish trust . He is an egotist , blatantly choose Father above all. Smiles , seduces and scream the very next moment. It doesn't take him a minute to go from "I cant live without you " to "Baba is awesome , shut up". Very reliable !
I would perhaps be slightly more accusing towards Aastha because she has all that is needed to be wise and mature. Supportive parents , waah waahiya from.basically all quarters. Shlock is a like a baby born with defects, was raised in a dysfunctional environment.

Well said Chitra...

Mother plays a very imp role in children life, slokh was completely deprived of that...
Slokh is insecured because he had a terrible childhood but why astha ...she had a fantastic life and many times Kalindi warned her not to lie unnecessarily...
That doesnot Mean we don't feel bad for astha or she can get hit by anybody...no...but she needs to be matured...

In kavya case also she interfered during fancy dress and got caught...why should she do it when kavya own mother is there...that was absolutely uncalled for...

deepa,

check back the scene where aastha is about to play the dvd for shlok, just before they hear baba's cries for help. she was shown in the mirror, which indicates that she is getting carried away by her ego.

every person has ego. just that some people, who are insecure, exhibit it more than others. it is her ego that made her secure that dvd and compelled her into making shlok accept that his baba is wrong and she is right.

if it is not for her ego, she would not challenge niranjan like that. there is no immediate gain for her or anybody in making shlok know his baba's truth. she has been insecure for quite a while(ever since shlok said that his baba is the most important person and then there is swathi always on her mind) and it transformed into this ego battle with niranjan. if her aim is to change niranjan, why would she blackmail him that she would show his true face to shlok and separate them?! i still stand by my argument. 😊

Rekha,
After the fancy dress competiton she told baba that she is not against him ,only his paramparas...and moreover he himself told her that he did the fire accident to seperate ,so Astha told shlok about baba in an impulse.(she cleverly provokes her to tells shlok.).thats what I have been saying, she is too impulsive when it comes to a crisis, she doesnt give a second thought before speaking...But, may be as you say she is egoistic, lets see what she does...eager to know what she is upto after one roof seperation😊
My POV its not Ashlok's mistake,Baba is trying make use of their weakness in favour of him

Why was Astha cowering from Shlok in fear, while he kept trying to charge towards her, with his fists clenched, as if ready to beat her black and blue? Ive not watched this show regularly but that was truly horrible to watch, and I had to stop viewing the programme. Star needs to stop glorifying domestic abuse in the name of romance. I could hardly believe what I was seeing! Does Astha have no self respect or dignity? She was cowering away from her husband like a cornered and scared farm animal, and he looked set to douse her in petrol and set her on fire or ready to do something equally barbaric. What was that about?

Unless that is, I've completely missed the point of this show, and there is a 50 shades of grey element to the relationship between the leads? Do Astha and Shlok share a Dominant/Submissive type relationship? Does Astha find Shlok's physical, mental and emotional abuse sexually gratifying/pleasurable/exciting? Does getting beaten up at the hands of her husband excite her?

I am genuinely baffled having not watched this show regularly

(yes. they love/respect him and that's the reason why they suffer him.)

she was shown with self esteem and self respect when shlok hit her and thats why she stopped him, her sense of self presevation raised its head, which does require a bit of ego, im not talking about super ego, so yes i agree there is also ego in play when she challenges niranjan, every time nianjan provokes her , her ego raises its head, thats what niranjan wants , also she wants to prove herself right which also is driven by a bit of ego, so yes i agree she also does things to satisfy her ego, even helping people gives a pleasant feeling of serving the helpless and getting them out of situations which they themselves could not do but she can, also she repeatedly tells anjali "WHY DIDNT YOU TELL ME SO I WOULD HAVE DONE TO STOP IT" i think in jyoti's track where niranjan made anjali take jyoti's signatures on the abhay's release papers, these are the words of a person who has ego

Gr8 post Chitra..πŸ‘πŸΌ I cmpletely agree to wat u hv said only differ on 1 point thts Aastha s more at fault..

Aastha is paying d price of her mistakes of interfering too much and being impulsive..hopefully when this track ends, Aastha does mature a bit and behave responsibly with more actions n less tlks..n most importantly stops interfering in other's business..I so dont want her to lecture Varad/ Sojal/ Mansi wen their triangle will come to forefront..

Having said that Shlok s not saint..v cant jst leave him scot free siting the reason of his upbringing in d dysfunctional family..ther r many examples of ppl who r sane enough even after being raised to dysfunctional families...Shlok's behaviour smtimes was beyond tolerance particularly wen he invaded Astha's personal space to bind her to him..he dint give any time for her to think..so yes..Shlok too s at fault and deserves to be punished..

in my opinion..both r equally flawed..smtims dnt uderstand y male lead gets more sympathy than female lead..πŸ˜•πŸ˜•
