______________________ The Love Grows
Ehsaas
Ishita's heart dropped to her toes, the thing that brought her relief and rapture after the despair that struck her from her pela pyaar leaving her. Now it was her work. She had put her blood, sweat and tears in to keeping up with her work. Wether it meant not dropping Ruhi off at school, or dissapointing her Amma, or leaving Raman alone at the dinner table. She always held her work as a comfort zone, she could enter the door of her clinic and become lost in teeth and forget her twisted emotions. But it was gone now, she would not have her place to hide away from the world and just be her anymore.
Raman entered the front door stressed after a long day of work and swung his suitcase on the sofa. He looked at Ishita, whose eyes now had tears spurting from them as she cried bitterly. He walked over to find out what the fuss was and innocently asked her.
"Ishu, what's wrong? Tell me,"
Ishita handed over the letter and ran in to her room and slammed the door shut. The slamming sound shook the entire house and her tears formed a pool of despair.
Raman read the letter and his eyes showed to the family that whatever he had just read was displeasing to all.
"Bolo putter, jaldi! What happened?" Mrs Bhalla exclaimed desperate to discover and defeat the thing that is upsetting her daughter so much.
Just then Mrs Iyer entered and simultaneously Raman muttered,
"Ishita's license has been revoked." He became angry and threw the paper down.
Everyone was shocked and Raman went to his room to console Ishita.
"Ayoo Ishu!" Mrs Iyer yelled. Mrs bhalla put her hand on her shoulder and Mr Bhalla reassured them of Raman's power and that everything would be sorted.
Raman entered the room unsure as of how to comfort Ishita. She was crying bitterly and Raman shut the door before locking it from the top. Ishita looked at him and stood up she ran over to him impulsively and hugged him tight and cried. Except it was more natural this time, she was crying in her husbands loving arms. Raman hugged her and he placed his hand behind her head, stroking her head comfortingly. She calmed down and sat down holding Raman's hand.
"Ishu, why are you crying? I promise -"
"Raman, mein janti ho, app kuch kur sukta mere liye. Lekin, mein dur lugra. I am very scared Raman. After 12 years of waiting to finally become someones, I became useless and redundant. Raman, I don't know if I can love again another man after Subbu. But I don't care about that I have Ruhi and I had my clinic. It was where I could forget Subbu and be in charge of something I like. And recieve compliments and not just recieve them but exchange them. It was like the clinic was my second "pela pyaar". Pur ajj, it has been taken away from me as well. It was my other reason to live besides Ruhi." Ishita's words stung Raman, although they were right. He never showed his love and he never knew it was there, until now. It was there. And it was a strong love. A love that anyone could know about, a truth to be told. But these thoughts, were indeed true. He never told her he loved her and would he ever? Should he now. Ishita loosened her grip from his hands believing them to be making him uncomfortable but he tightened his grip and spoke softy. "Ishita, you can tell me. what else is making you upset?"
Precap:
Ishita paused. "It was something to do from 9 through 5, when Ruhi was at school, with something that loved me as much as I loved it." Raman interfered and stongly stated, "Ishita, I love you. Mein sirf app se pyaar kurti ho"
