Here's a sad piece of news for all the fans of good looking Gautam Gulati who plays the fun character of Vikram in Star Plus' Diya Aur Baati Hum (Shashi Sumeet Productions Pvt Ltd). The character will soon disappear from the screen, as the actor is all set to bid farewell to the show.
Gautam has time and again proved his mettle with challenging roles in shows like Kasamh Se, Pyaar Kii Ye Ek Kahaani and also has an international award winning film Coward under his belt.
And now the brawny actor has got himself an interesting new project that would keep him away from the city for a couple of months. With the show and the new project's dates clashing, the actor has decided to quit the show which he has been doing for more than two years now. The actor will be shooting till this month for the show as he will move forward to his new project from September.
Talking on the same Gautam shares, "We are yet to have a final meeting about how my character will ease out of the show. It's sad but then as an actor you need to be ready to take such difficult decisions to let one broaden their career sphere. It's an amicable decision and I wish the show great success all along."
