Under The Moonlight
It was all set. I just hope she would love it. I knew she would but a man can't help but be nervous on a day like this. What if she refused? Would we still be together? What if she breaks my heart?
But before my mind could think of anything else I saw her walking towards me with a confused smile on her face. She looked beautiful in that white dress, with her long hair flowing in the wind. She looked like an angel. My angel. Looking at her look so stunning made my anxiety rise again. God, I have never asked anything from you, but please don't let her slip from my hands.
"Randhir! Thank you so much! Tum mujhe yaha leke aaye. You are the best!" she said
I hugged her, her scent calming my nerves. The feeling of her arms around my back felt like heaven. It wasn't just today, but being in her arms always made me feel like I was in heaven.
"Tumhare liye kuch bhi. " I said.
We were sitting on the roof of one of the tallest building in New York. I knew she always wanted to see the city from this high up. I walked her over to the edge of the roof and settled in behind her with my hands on either side of her.
"Randhir! I love you so much! Tumhe yaha booking kese mili?" she asked.
"Sanyukta, kitne sawal puchti ho. Kaha na tumhare liye kuch bhi. Ab just lets enjoy." I replied and nuzzled my face into her neck.
"I love you too Sanyu"
She turned around and smiled and before she could say anything, I pressed my lips to hers. I wanted to do that since I last saw her in the morning. But preparing for this day had kept me busy. But now? With her lips moving against mine felt like sweet nectar. I didn't want this moment to stop. But it had to if I wanted the rest of the night to begin.
I pulled back from her and kissed her forehead.
"Chalo let's eat." I said.
"hmm, ruko toh. Kha lenge thodi der mai." She replied and pulled me down for another kiss.
I chuckled into her mouth but complied to her wishes. After all I wanted to do the same thing. But not long after that her stomach demanded food, quite loudly I must add.
"Kaha than a kha lete hai. Kabhi baat nahi sunti." I said
"Chup raho! Jab dekhi tab ladte rehte ho. Chlo khate hai." She replied with a smile on her face.
The faster the dinner was passing, the more my anxiety rose. Randhir beta, it's now or never.
"Sanyu, dessert aane ke pehle, ek baat bolni thi." I said.
"Bolona" he replied.
"Ruko, abhi aaya. Please apni aankeh band karo. Please?" I asked, knowing she didn't like suprises.
"pch, thik hai." She replied.
When I saw her close her eyes, I got up from the chair and ask the manager to give me my things and once I had them I went back to her and asked her to open her eyes, praying that she wouldn't freak out.

What I saw when I opened my eyes, took my breath away. There were lights on which weren't before and this time I noticed that the entire place was deserted and there was a heart made of rose petals not too far from where I was sitting. I saw Randhir come in and stand in the heart. He motioned for me to stand in the center, so I got up and did just that. But before I could ask anything, he knelt down on one knee and asked me the one question I had been dying to hear.
"Sanyu, I first met you in college in front of that board. And our relationship began from there. We crused each other, pushed each other, sometimes literally, and hated each other. But in all that mess, somehow we became friends and then you made me fall for you. Fall really hard. And I never want to get up. I love you Sanyu and I will be the luckiest man if I can spend the rest of my life together. Loving you and giving you everything you need. Will you do the honour of being my wife?"
I couldn't stop the tears from running down my cheeks and he immediately got up, hugged me and whispered a broken sorry.
"Tum sorry kyu bol rahe ho duffer, jao wapas apni position pe. Mai shocked hu, but ab tak ha ya na nahi kaha hai." I said and pushed him back.
"Meri ek condition hai Randhir" I said.
"Kya condition? Bolo na." he replied.
"tum chahe kitna bhi pyaar karo mujhse se, we will not stop fighting. And yes, I'll marry you Randhir." I answered.
I was suddenly lifted off the ground and was being twirled around. I couldn't help but laugh seeing my arrogant jerk of a Randhir twirling me around like in a romance movie. Soon enough, my feet touched the ground and his lips touched mine.
"I thought it was for granted that we will fight." He whispered against my lips.

And they fought happily ever after.
