A lot of us already understood what Ruk as a wife must have went through, and if not for her karastanis -she would have garnered a lot of sympathy from forum waasis. But the thing is she is shown to be too self centred to have real affection for Jalal the husband, she loves Jalal the shahensha. She was well aware of Jalal's philandering and did not have an iota of jealously - as she knew no matter what she can control Jalal according to her. She wasn't even jealous of Jo till Jalal started giving importance to her.

The reason people are feeling bad for Jo is coz, she loves Jalal as a husband, and doesn't care about the titles and comforts he can afford to give her. She was insecure and jealous when she found out about Ruks pregnancy, that jealousy stems from a sense of belonging, a feeling of ownership on one you love. She loves him for the person that he is, it is heartbreaking to see Jalal insult Jo's selfless love that too when Jo is expecting
