Breaking news:Tina Parekh to Quit KGGK

The intense Shruti of Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki self-admittedly owes her huge popularity to the show. So it comes as a surprise when after three years of working in the serial, Tina Parakh has decided to quit the show. "As an actor, I feel I need to move on and try something different now. I need to do something else before I get stagnated," says Tina. The actress adds that she's been working with the production house for over four years now and she has only fond memories associated with it. "Nothing has ever gone wrong between us and I'm leaving the show on an amicable note," she says.

It's natural that Tina is feeling a tad emotional about quitting a serial which has given her so much. "I'll finish shooting for it in another ten days or so. Earlier, it was a decision that had to be taken but now, the feeling's sinking in that I won't be shooting with all the people who've become almost family to me now," she says with a smile. Has the decision to quit the show anything to do with her recent marriage to Vikram Hazra? "Nothing like that. Fortunately for both of us, we both are very clear about our space, workwise too. Again, he is my best friend, so I did sit with him to discuss this career move and he was very supportive ," he says.

Although the shooting for Kahaani ... will finish in a few days, Tina doesn't have any other show on air at the moment. "I need to get out of one situation first before I plan the other," she says. The petite actress says that she would want to expand her horizons and explore her acting talent now. "There's so much more to acting. I would love to do a chat show or a travel show. I realise that when you keep doing one thing, you tend to forget your potential," she says. But Tina's definitely not in the mood for a break. "If the break happens naturally then it's another thing, otherwise if I get a good script I would want to start work right away," she concludes.
