Episode 621 Discussion: 9th July 2014, Wednesday

Welcome to the Episode discussion thread which we call as Viewer's and Reader's Respite.  That's very apt, don't you think ? 😉. And that proves our objective.

Objective behind the thread is
  1. It helps in keeping the forum clean without much litter
  2. We can have it like breathers at first followed by analysis.
  3. It also helps like-minded souls and pals bond and gel together to drop in their thoughts for themselves as breathers and for their friends as a peep into the episode and for others to post their reviews.
  4. And those from different time-zones, who do not get to watch the episode at this time of telecast (Indian 8:30 PM), without any worry to trace or keep track of all their buddy's posts, they can come here, read with leisure and later post their analysis after watching it from their Time zones.

Note for All posting reviews and thoughts over this EDT

Please read the pointers below for posting on EDT.

Extremist thoughts and moralizing thoughts are not welcome over this thread. This is anentertainment show we are watching. The channel calls their programs as entertainment and we are watching the show. Discussions are welcome in light hearted and in realistic manner. Moral policing is not appreciated.  Neither is ranting or bashing actors or makers of the show.  Please exercise judgment.

Please heed to this as direct request and conditional requirement to participate in this thread.
  1. Page 1 - post only reviews (which can be one liners - if you wish.)  Also, please don't clutter up page 1 with multiple posts - give others a chance to post their reviews.
  2. Many reviewers add an "ETA" to their original post, if they want to make an additional point soon after posting.
  3. Do not litter the thread with chit-chat conversations. A little is permitted to have the friendly atmosphere, but when you feel like chatting more and the discussion becomes irrelevant to the topic on hand, please take your conversation with your buddies to chat clubs, pm mode etc.
  4. The thread becomes a mess when you give your review and do not REST for sometime until others have posted. Please understand, respites or reviews; once or twice are good for few pages...don't make a regular chat thread with your reiterating /whining / complaining on the same point. For the online readers, the thread becomes unpleasant read. There is a separate Complaints thread in Main Forum
  5. When episodic content is emotional, take a deep breath, give a good lengthy review; that acts as your vent in one single post...and make an exit to calm down your nerves if you still are possessed by only what you've seen.
  6. Regulate the font size and colors. Keep remembering that. It is really not pleasing to see big bolded letters, or multi-colored font for no special reason.
  7. Quoting Policy: refrain from single, double, triple and multiple quoting of posts on a repetitive basis.  Pick out the parts that you like to quote as opposed to quoting the entire post.   IF has a rule that more than three times quoting is not allowed. But nowadays as people read IF posts over phone, and multiple quoting makes it very hard to scroll though.
  8. Feel free to post links of other members posts which had been "delightful read" towards analysis of episodic event/s or character analysis.

Notes:

Cheers,
MAS

Enjoyed the episode. Granted, there was a kind of surreal element to JM's volte-face, but I was so very sick and tired of the perpetual "angry" face, that I would take any scraps thrown my way. So I was more than happy today.
  • JM has been networking, and figured out that an eligible bachelor does indeed exist literally within stone's throw. Phalguni bhabhi is all shy and all...So sweet.
  • JM softening towards Raja, and how! All the positive memories have overtaken the negative ones, apparently. Loved it. The necklace tying part was not very sizzling, but thats ok, I can wait. 😉. Apparently we have to wait until JM takes the first step...
  • Loved Raja's joy at listening to JM bare her heart. Poor man deserved it. And loved how he hesitantly shows the saree...asking but not asking her to wear it.
  • Loved DVD. And wonder of wonders! We got to see them together! Yaay!! Make that a double yaaay. 🥳
  • Nice job JM, changing into the saree that Raja got her. Hint hint Raja! 😳
  • And nice touch Dauji, anointing JM as his successor. He's come a long way. Another jungli tamed. Still a couple (or three) more to go...
  • Talking about the three, was kind of glad we didn't get the two sisters actually singing a rural song. The moment I saw the dholak, I was starting to stress a little, hoping that at least one of them had a decent voice. But some nice canned music, with our beloved couple stealing glances at each other.
  • Bhanu shows up (secure that the CCTV has been sabotaged) Gun in hand (naturally)
Precap: Ok, whats going to happen? 😲. Someone's going to get shot. Question is - who?

a very good epi and interesting one too👍🏼..tauji blessing falguni bhabi.👏madhu and raja delighted..👍🏼raja asking for forgiveness from heart not in bheek..😆madhu says he has too wait for it for a lifetime raja agrees.😆.madhu smiles..raja bringing saree for madhu and hearing her talk about his good deeds..😊madhu thinking that falguni is behind her back..madhu turns and seing raja gets shocked and raja feeling shy seing his rani praising him.😛.raja telling rani that he wont touch her unless she hugs him ..👍🏼raja reluctuntly sits beside madhu in goud bharai function, when madhu invites him to join her...👏tauji handing his gaddi to madhu instead of raja was the best part of the epi..⭐️so madhu wins taujis heart..👏precap..bhanu with his evil plan trying to shoot .😡.who will be his target now.😡btw..dd looked so pretty all through ,smiling dvd are a treat to watch..❤️

I'm really glad to see more than one expression on Madhu's face...surprised her face didn't crack when she smiled 😆

BUT turnabout regarding Raja is just a bit much for me when she was adamant that he had no redeeming qualities that she was willing to jail him then abort their child...i think pregnancy hormones are affecting Madhu 😕
If she could see all the good qualities in Raja before the rape why were we subjected to endless "Janwar/Jungli" with popping of eyes for what seems like forever.
I'm grateful she has softened but the transition is just wrong and Tauji not only accepting but naming her his heir stretches my imagination just a tad to far...after all what did she really do for the family apart from insult them. what is the need to have Falguni in the show apart from spill the pregnancy news to Raja? and why don't Tara and Agni live in their own homes if they want to be the queen of their Kingdoms?

Going to rewatch this episode's RajBala scenes.😲

Rewatching DVD scene and not detesting most or all of an episode - it's been so long.🤔

The last episode that was a pleasure was the 'snake, jumps and hugs' episode during the village track.

This episode proceeded commendably on a fast linking together of the relationships.

JM acknowledging Raja's love in all episodes from karvachauth onwards was the best part of the episode.😳 😊
It was a belated but most necessary mass-appreciable cleanslating of the backfiring mass-appalling tracks-developments of rude 'spirited' she was characterized as from 2nd week of May 2014 onwards, with her sudden bizarre turning against Raja for killing someone who had tried to kill Raja several times, and the consequent disgust for 'gawaar' (the CVs presumably forgot that the 'gawaar' audience - even in cities - is substantially massive enough in the majority-audience to carry tracks with very reassuring millions of viewership week after week if they are not vicariously demeaned by the suddenly snobbishly cosmopolitan female lead).

JM's referring to Tara and Agni as 'jiji' was an excellent step.
It wouldn't prevent her from dealing with either of them.
But the polite term would give her more leeway in doing so, with the relationship respected while reacting to the person or the deeds.

As regards the turban and 'successor' declaration -
While JM has not done anything clever enough to rival Raja's efforts and plans, to merit Dauji's excessive regard and his calling her his successor, nevertheless Dauji's that point helped bind Dauji and JM in a relationship of affection, rather than maintain the story of her utility being only as the mother of Raja's child and Dauji's family-name lineage's future.

It would hopefully permit JM to get past the moral snobbery altogether and treat the old man respectfully as her family-elder, regardless of differences.

Dauji's regret for having got Tara married to an unworthy husband - and thus losing his own wife needlessly - has already manifested in his not specifically wanting the unborn child to be a boy for carrying the family-name.
Rather, he has been equally pleased at the possibility that it might be a daughter in the image of Baiji, returned in a different relationship into the family.
Though how much this attitude has to do with his expectation that there would be other progeny of Raja's later, sons and/or daughters, is indeterminate.

Noticed a trivial sartorial point. Totally frivolous.😳
While in the pink sari, JM was wearing a red-and-gold jewellery set - necklace and earrings - in addition to the mangalsutra.
The gold of the necklace might match a bit with the gold-wire-threadwork on the green sari-border, but the red seemed to match with no part of the sari.😕
Then she wore the red-and-pale-yellow sari, and the red-and-gold earrings matched fine.😆 😳
The matching non-choker red-and-gold necklace was absent, maybe to keep the focus on the mangalsutra.😊

The episode was astoundingly fine even for rewatching.😕 😳

Haven't cared much about the expressions or body-doubles in the past few episodes since the tracks were excruciating.🥱
But for this one episode, the scenes were all great, good or okay - and DVD were awesome, individually and together.⭐️

Hopefully the next episode and episodes remain of today's pleasing lead-couple-united-and-equal pattern (rather than female lead showcased as solo saviour as in so many crashing tracks with inadequate foundation), so that the channel and the series may see mass-viewership rebuilding for this forthcoming track by avoiding previous pitfalls.
If the lead pairing is provenly mass-popular so long as the tracks are mass-appealing, then the female lead being progressive for others and traditionally mass-appealing for herself works nicely for viewership so long as no forcefeeding track-gambits are forced into the middle to try to tilt mass-acceptance - the 'alag che' variations the series has been trying to forcefeed to mass-audience against their years of unvaryingly consistent viewership-tastes have had an unreassuring certainty of track-crashing not enough millions of viewership.
Wary of being optimistic this time after the repeatedly unsuccessful forcefeeding-attempts to mass-audience of track-ideas suited to a progressive alternate universe where the crores of mostly conservative nonfandoms mass-audience can be counted on to drop by in between switching channels, ensuring steadfast primetime-noncommensurate 1+ TRP spectrum, rather than the barely acceptable mediocre 2+ or the acceptable good 3+.
Desperately hoping that at least this time, the channel and CVs show a positive mass-appealing 'lead couple united as equals with *mutual* regard' track that mass-audience would be likely to watch for primetime half-hour everyday, to get the satisfactory screentime-commensurate viewership that can be got. The pairing here has provenly managed it when the tracks were mass-pleasing.
Just let the track now be mass-appealing, with care to showcase both the leads equally in effort and commendation, and the couple's *mutual* regard positively. Please?

I got lucky today!! Touch wood!! Watched the episode after so many days and got to see some movement... Or I should say a speedy transition shown today!!! The biggest change were the expressions of Madhubala!!! She actually smiled almost in every fourth frame!!! 😆 (Except the middle and last few minutes!) And to its addition, for the first time in this entire track, she had a brief thought of her past with Raja. She finally saw HUMAN BEING in Raja. For the first time, I felt some heart to heart talk between Rajbala today!!! Raja was happy because he got to know that his Rani feels for him, Madhu was happy as she got a little of what she wanted (Falguni's marriage and a slight change in her in laws thinking) and we, the viewers were happy as we finally got to see some happy moments after like ages!!!
Today, it seemed as if the creative team has added one more wheel to their Bullock cart!!! 😆 The transition was really damn fast... Just one episode and the heroine starts feeling for the hero!!! If the show has one month more to go then why so much hurry for this heart change of heroine... At least they could have passed one more episode for this drastic change to occur!!! But whatever it is, today I won't crib about the storyline anymore as I don't want to spoil my mood after watching some good Rajbala moments!!! Hope this phase continues from now on till the end!!!

Kavya... That's what I m saying too... why so hurry... ???
Isn't show got one month extension...they have plenty of time to show JM's feeling changing towards Raja slowly but effectively...as she will start to see little goodness in him...
But they showed JM saw or may be realized so much qualities in him overnight... that is little indigestible u see... 😆
