SHRENU PARIKH

Shrenu Parikh was born on 11 November 1989 in Vadodara,Gujarat.

She completed her studies by graduating from college with a B-Pharm degree, and states that she had always was always interested in modelling.

She won a Miss University title in 2007, Miss Vadodara title in 2008 and has won a few beauty pageants too.

She has also hosted many events at Vadodara in college.

She loves Watching Movies. She is a movie Buff. Her favourite romantic Movie is Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge and Socha Na Tha. Her favourite Action movie is Avengers. Her
favourite comedy movie is Andaaz Apna Apna

Role:Aastha (Hawan)

Aastha plays a girl who belongs to a poor family and believes in a person called Baapji, who is like a God to her.

Role:Rajnibala (Byaah Hamari Bahu Ka)

She is very soft spoken, nubile and a gentle girl and extremely pretty. She has to be told what to do She is working with a group of marriage coordinators. She is not educated and has not seen the world. Her world exists in the television which she loves to watch. She comes from a very poor family

Role:Aastha(Iss pyaar ko kya naam doon. ek baar phir )

Astha is a 23 year old middle-class girl. Some of the characteristics to describe her would be sweet, spunky, lively & optimistic. She belongs to a progressive household that considers men & women to be equal. At times, a bit haphazard & disorganized.

Rules and Regulations for all Appreciation Threads in the IPKKND-EBP Forum

Hello IPKKND-EBPians,

Dedicated Appreciation threads (ATs) for an actor/actress/couple of the show will be subject to specific rules here onwards. These rules will apply to all current ATs in the forum and any new ATs created in the future.

Rules:

The word "Appreciate" in itself means to have a highly favorable opinion of someone or something. You are supposed to appraise the value of the work of the actors and express them in positive light. A thread where all the fans of the Actor/Character/Couple gather to discuss what they liked.
In an essence Constructive criticism/Positive Outlook towards Actors/Characters/Jodi must prevail in these threads.
Members must understand discussions are restricted in ATs. ATs are safe zones for the Actor/Jodi fans to exchange information without being subject to negativity. You have the main forum to present opinions which calls for discussions and debates. All discussions related to actor's performance, looks, style and personality can be confined to ATs and keep the discussion of story tracks to a minimum, when they do not directly relate to the actor/character of this AT , in particular when they imply stating negative opinions. However we do allow minimum chatting in ATs, provided it is related to this AT alone.
Please refrain from bringing and discussing other general topics of the forum into the AT.
Please refrain from any negative/bashful/insulting comments against any actor/jodi/characters. If members of an AT are caught discussing other actors/couples negatively, then AT will be held liable for it and may be subject to warnings & eventual closure/Ban as follows.
Admins/Monitors of the AT (Those who are opening the AT will be called the Admins/Monitors) will report the troublemakers or problematic members of the AT to the DT in a timely manner, so that the AT/other genuine fans are not penalized. Here the Admins have a big responsibility and so we believe them to be totally unbiased as the whole responsibility of a AT is on them.

Lastly - When an AT reaches 150 pages, hit the report button and add this "AT reached 150 Pages", the DT will close it as we can not have two ATs open at the same time.

Admins of the CC - One member of the AT along with the IPKKND-EBP DT (minuu and munnihyderabad) - When the AT is about to end, please wait until one of the AT admins create the next. If the assigned admin for a certain AT isn't around, drop in a quick PM to one of the Dev Team members (minuu or munnihyderabad) to open the next AT, any other ATs which are made by any other members will be closed without further notice

If the DT sees more than 3 people breaking the AT rules constantly for a week, the effects of violations will kick start, which go as follows:

First Violation - Warning Note
2nd - Another Warning Note

3rd - Another Warning Note
4th - Close the AT for 24 hrs (1 Day)
5th - Close AT for 72 hrs (3 Days)

6th - Close AT for 1 week (7 Days)

7th - Get rid of AT completely from the IPKKND-EBP Forum/Shift it to Celebrity Fan Club Forum

Having said that, please do not assume that every report submitted by opposite fan group will be entertained. We will go through the reports and only if we find the report valid based on above rules, then we will speak to the Admins of the AT and action will be taken accordingly as stated above.

Shrenu Parikh wants to focus only on work for the next five years

From doing a few endorsements in hometown Vadodara and small roles in serials like Gulaal to carrying off her first lead role in the show Havan with aplomb, Shrenu Parikh has come a long way.

And things are only getting bigger and better for this petite 20-something beauty, who "used to mimic all popular characters of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi as a kid!"

Shrenu will soon be seen essaying one of the lead roles in theByaah Hamari Bahoo Ka (BHBK). Talking of the journey so far, an elated Shrenu says, "It has been a fantastic journey and I am focusing only on work for the next five years or so.

After that, I have plans of settling down but no matter what happens, no one will be able to take the actor out of me! But in future, I also want to put my educational qualification (she has completed her B Pharm from Vadodara, and had distinction throughout college life) to good use."

Asked about her role in BHBK, Shrenu says, "I play the role of Rajnibala, a soft-spoken girl belonging to a village. While she isn't well-educated, she is sweet and shares an amazing relationship with her in-laws. The show will send out a great social message. Also, it has been fun to work with the likes of Gaurav Khanna."

Shrenu, who was much appreciated for her role of Aastha in Havan, was flooded with offers post her first big break, but she chose to tread cautiously. "I got a lot of offers but most of those weren't interesting.

Then, I auditioned for BHBK but never thought I would bag a lead role again! I was in the mood for a vacation but I got selected. Another great thing is that my role is vastly different from what I played in my last serial. It is fabulous to be working with J D Majethia and Rajan Shahi.

With J D sir, there is always a homely feeling " once, when I fell ill while shooting, he took extra care to ensure that I got proper rest and medicines," shares Shrenu and adds, "Havan will always remain close to my heart because it was my first big show and I learnt a lot during its making."

She has also learnt to live on her own in Mumbai. "It's not easy, but I have got used to the pace of life in Mumbai. I miss my hometown a lot and fly down whenever possible, even if it's just for a day. For the last two years, I have been forced to be in Mumbai during my birthday. But then, such things are a part and parcel of this profession," she says

I'm not comfortable smooching my co-actors: Shrenu Parikh

If sources are to be believed, actress Shrenu Parikh, currently seen in 'Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon...Dobara?', recently requested the production house to tone down some intimate scenes.

Says a source, "Some time back, when Shrenu was shooting a bedroom sequence with Avinash Sachdeva, she requested the channel to tone it down as she is uncomfortable. She fears that her family will not take it positively"

Shrenu admits she is not comfortable doing intimate scenes, but says she didn't ask for any scene to be toned down. Says she, "They always knew that I am not comfortable shooting intimate scenes. There was a smooch in the first season of the show, but I am not comfortable with it. I don't think Avinash would be comfortable either. I come from a Gujarati family and I value our principles and ideologies. I have shot some intimate scenes for the show, but that's because they have been captured aesthetically by the director."

The actress claims that she even had to decline a film offer since it had some love-making scenes. "My mother was with me when I heard the narration and was told about the intimate scenes. I saw my mother cringe and decided to decline the offer," says she.
