I do not want to talk about SVOI, whatever Gajji is saying audition is actually not an audition. He better knows how does he pick only 8-9 singers for audition.

Ofcourse the bigger auditions are held before - this is like the final selections from the city...

Anyways I agree to you that it should be the talent of the contestant that should get the person in rather than his relation with the talent... But I am only wondering what actually happens behind the scene

Not sure if we should be discussing this in this section at all as other members may not like it... Anyways, yes - they have shown glimpses of the bigger auditions at places.. where people queued up for very long and then they were judged and these handful of contestants were selected for the final selections....

Most of the things indeed happen behind the scenes.. I have a friend whose brother works for the Event Management Group that conducts Indian Idol Auditions - what he told me was very surprising for a reality TV format.. He said that there are some people who go to the venue early and actually select a handful a 'final selected' singers and they also identify a few weak singers who they know will just add the comedy element.. Then they organize the TV shoot where Anu Malik and gang come... What happens in the TV shoot is all crafted - so the selected ones all know that they are selected, the comedy guys know that they are there to add to the fun element.. and the rest of the predetermined emotions fall in place... and we audience think that wow that particular singer cried as he got eliminated!!! I am pretty sure - its a similar story everywhere!

😆 of course what do u think..... will the judges check 1000 people and select few😆........

anyways what can be seen as proof of initial auditions is the numbers u see on every contestants dress in ASVOI....... this are the numbers given to them during the initial auditions........ whether fake or true atleast they have one additional proof😉😆

Just would like to mention about few people who were already in the public eye and so got into selector's eyes and eventually got selected..

Amanat: Winner of Zee saregama middle east
Mauly: Has won some competitions here in the USA and is well known in Indian circles..
Mussarat: He is reported to be an MD in Pakistan
Junnaid: a contestant of Zee saregama middle east
Wasi: a contestant of Zee saregam middle east

Arshpreet: Punjab ki awaaz
Sanchari:a contestant earlier in saregam 2005
Aabhas:a contestant of Zee saregama for kids

Of course Sahrib, Paresh and Hemu siblings already mentioned..

There was one Pandit Sharma ji, a musician whose daughter got selected
One Gazal Singer ..last name Rizvi and daughter got eliminated..

There may be few who got some influence because they knew certain minister or MP or.....

So sort of "direct entries" are in plenty..but good thing is that most of them are good singers too..

These are not established people who have a choice to go to the group they would feel more 'comfortable' with. They're newcomers, strugglers who would be more than happy to get an opportunity in any of the shows. It's not like they've known Gajji for years and decide they would be most 'comfortable' working with him. That only works for Shaan and the music crew.

I can't imagine them thinking - "Hmm.. SRGMP is auditioning next week - should I go there? Nah! I think I'll wait for Gajji's show to come along. They'll make me feel more comfortable. I'll give SRGMP a miss. Sorry folks. Your bad luck.' 😛
