Many of us believe that these are not present in the modern society. But this is not the reality. In this serial CVs are trying focus on this issues and this is one of the reasons I like this serial .

I have come across 4 men who have been abused by their partners, Others are all women who are regularly being abused either emotionally or physically .

Old people are also getting abused.

In England , social service, voluntary organisation, medical professionals are very active against domestic violence. but still this is going on irrespective of race, education, religion. But we find unreported domestic violence more common in ethnic minority. here.

One thing in the first video , I could not understand how her partner was carrying three guns in England, It might be possible in America but in England, it is completely illegal to carry any unauthorized weapon!

Thanks to bring this issue once again in the forum to discuss with examples to make aware of every body about DOMESTIC VIOLENCE!

thanks for sharing your experiences on this issue, sathia.
@bold
1st two videos are by americans. 3rd one is by a british actor.

domestic violence is very much prevalent in all classes and cultures. there is no doubt about it. that is why the team deserves appreciation for taking up this issue. but i cannot say that they are dealing with the issue in a responsible manner. they chose to deal with this issue in the context of a love story and they are not able to balance these two things properly.

sometimes they make a mockery of the suffering Anjali goes through and try to derive comedy from it! some other times they portray the male characters, varad and shlok, as dummies to highlight the women and spoil the love story part by making it a complete woman-centered show. DV is as much a men's issue as much as it is a women's issue. there is a clear lack of sensitivity and balance in the way they are dealing with the story now.
