Round 8 - Feedback-Farmaish Podcast Added

Can't wait to listen to all of these beautiful patriotic songs... will download and give my feedback soon. 😳

Here are my comments for this round:

Ashish - You have emoted this song superbly. I think there is a natural vibrato in your voice, which you will have to reduce a bit.

Seema - Very soothing as usual. Felt rather short, though. 😛

Cindu - It feels as if you have sung the song at the last minute. Some of the words were sung incorrectly. E.g. Basti was made Banti, etc. I have seen you do much better.

Lavanya - Nicely done! Watch your diction so that it does not sound too Western in such songs - esp. the emphasis on the "R" sound.

Biswita - If you sang this song in a lower key, it would have sounded better. Your voice becomes harsh on the higher notes for some reason. You will need to learn how to soften it.

Raju - For a second I thought Udit Narayan was singing. Fabulous.

Sarita - Your voice feels suppressed this time. Good work with the lower notes and a nice soft touch maintained throughout.

Pawan - I think the only reason you went off sur in this song is because of the operation that you had recently. Hats off to you for even attempting to sing at such a point. You sang the mukhda very nicely.

Wow ! Some lovely songs and some lovely renditions too. Need to hear them again to give feedback. Most were just awesome !👏

Dolly and Sweta- Congratulations ! between the two of you, you guys have created some very lovely banners and siggy's. Your creations are indeed looking very nice !👏👏👏

Seema – Highly impressed. You have a fantastic voice. Its very clear and perfect throw. And you maintained the feel of the song all throughout.

Sindhu : Very difficult song and very well attempt. It was very courageous on your and Bhaskar's part to select this. Lata ji and AR combo. Very well attempt again, but I felt that the flow could have been a little better. Going from one word to the other could have been a little smoother. Overall loved it.

Lavanya : Very well sung. Somehow I felt that you have tried to sing in falsetto. You did not open your voice completely and that's why you were running out breath occasionally. There was a slight error in sur in the word "Agar". Other than that very good.

Biswita: Very good attempt but will require more practice. The ending notes tended to end too soon, and the higher notes tended to sound a little nasal. It also lacked the softness. I am sure these are minor stuff and can be corrected very easily once you concentrate on these issues and Bhaskar and you can correct it easily.

Ashish: No comments. You are fantastic. I can see you in the finals.


This is for Bhaskar's gharana. I will try to review the remaining songs soon. BTW, I am not an expert and thee comments are just what I personally felt could be improved. I am very sorry if I have hurt anyone.
