She couldn't believe he had the guts to praise one of his ex-flames from college in front of his own wife. How dare he? Who gave him the right to talk about some stupid girl named Sona who was head over heals with this idiot. Who would fall in love with his Raavan Kumar anyway, thought a fuming Ishita.
"Kya hua itna irritate kyun ho rahi ho?" asked an innocent looking Raman.
He was having too much fun with this.. the moment he realized Ishita was trying to make him jealous by mentioning Subbu, he thought why not? Two could play at this game. He purposely made up a story with a girl named Sonali Kotnis who was actually a character in one of the books he was reading lately. He smirked to himself, this jhansi ki rani was the most gullible person he had ever met. She didn't even realize he was talking about her this whole time.
"Excuse me, main irritate nahin ho rahi hoon.. haan yeh baat aur hai ki tum mujhe irritate kar rahe ho, so please save me the drama and kindly shut up!" replied a not so happy Ishita.
"Offo Ishita.. tumhe toh jhoot bolna bhi nahin aata.. at least itna time mere saath spend karne ke baad itna to seekh leti!" Raman shook his head.
The woman couldn't even lie properly. Clearly this whole fake story of Sona was thoroughly affecting her how could he miss another chance, and so he continued.
"You do realize you're over reacting too much.. mere aur Sona ke beech mein aisa kuch nahin tha.. I told you na I was too shy to make a move with any girl let alone her!" he said.
"Acha? Agar kuch tha nahin then why are you gushing about her? I've had enough of this Sona.. I bet she's not even pretty and you're just exaggerating!" she replied while looking the other way.
"Oh Ishita, now don't be so mean.. if you want I can show you a picture of her." He replied coyly.
"WHAT?! You still have a picture of her? How dare you?! Do you have any shame? You're married yet you still roam around carrying a picture of her!" yelled Ishita.
This was the limit how could he possibly have a picture of one of his old crushes it was against the 'Girl Code' did he not understand? Stupid Raavan Kumar.. he should have played Mogambo in Mr. India instead he would've done justice to it with his villainous traits!
"What do you mean? I used to be mad about her.. of course I'm going to save a picture of her in fact its in my bedroom.. come I'll show you!" he grabbed her hand dragged her to the room.. this was going to be too much fun, he thought.
"Are you out of your mind? Leave me.. I don't care about your stupid Sona she can go to hell!" Ishita replied while trying to yank her hand of his.
"Ishita.. stop being so jealous I'm telling you, she's gorgeous one of the most beautiful girl I've met my entire life, I'm not even joking" Raman added fuel to the fire as they entered their bedroom.
"Ugh. I don't care how gorgeous, pretty or beautiful she is.. how dare you keep a picture of her and that too in your room, you must be the ONLY husband on this planet who still is mad over a college crush"
"Ishita just close your eyes trust me.. you'll agree with my as well" Raman said as he closed her yes with his hands and lead her to the side of the bed.
"Oh please.. agree with you my foot Raavan Kumar" Ishita mumbled.
She still couldn't believe she was doing this, how could this Raavan Kumar have the guts to show her a picture of Sona - Ishita didn't care how pretty that girl was, she was going to kill her if she ever came back in her Raavan Kumar's life.
"Okay you can open your eyes now" Said Raman, while standing behind Ishita.
She opened her eyes only to find herself and Raman in front of the mirror by their bed. For a second she didn't know why the hell she was looking at herself.. she looked towards Raman in the mirror, raising her eyebrows.
"Umm.. why are we standing in front of the mirror Raman?"
"You wanted to see a picture of Sona right? Well I don't necessarily have a picture of her.. but I do have a reflection and she's standing right in front of me" he whispered in to her ears.
It took Ishita a few seconds to realize what he meant. This man was talking about her all along.. Sona was just a facade! Pleasantly surprised would be an understatement for Ishita.. she was blushing and grinning ear to ear as she looked at Raman through the mirror.
"Sonali was just an excuse.. the real sona is standing in front of me and I know no matter what she'll stay with me through all my thick and thins. Thanks for being there Ishita whenever I needed you the most.. you can guarantee that I will be there for you as well.. always!" Raman said as he looked at both their reflections in the mirror.
Ishita couldn't help but smile and had tears of joy as she looked at Raman.. no matter how simple he looked there was still a mischievous child behind him who played pranks. But behind that child was a man of wisdom and a golden heart, she knew he would always be there as a friend, as a husband.. and maybe even a lover.
OKAYY. Guilty as charged. YES, I am one of those chuppi rustams who writes one shots! 😆 It has been a longgg time thought since I've written. I used to write on Prem&Heer and Arnav&Khushi so those of you who remember me.. well done. 😆 I'd like to dedicate this particular one shot to one of my really really close and best friend on this forum - Nikki! 😳Because of her I was able to open my maun vrat 😆 she's the one who inspired me to actually become active again on a forum. So NIKKOO my TSS! This one's for you yaara I really hope you liked it! 😳
Along with her I would like to dedicate this to ALLL my wonderful BGD's RB, Shivs, Nina, Pri and Sia! I LOVE YOU GUYS SOO FREAKING MUCH! I honestly would be a bhatakti aatma if I hadn't found you all here! Seriously you guys are the reason why I come to this forum.. oh and of course Ishra duhh :P 😆 Hopefully you guys liked this even though it's crap since I've been sooo out of it, its been literally two years since I've written anything! :P Please ignore the cheese-fest toward the end of the OS I know Ishra aren't in that lovey-dovey phase yet but in my OS they are :P so deal with it ya'll 😆
