Hello everyone. My name is Meghana. I come here every-so often. I wrote a small OS on Abhiya

The hall was dark and quiet.
"Anyone here?" I yelled into the darkness.
No response. I walked further into the darkness, just as the lights turned on.
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY PIYA!" Everyone yelled. Confetti and balloons were falling everywhere.
"OMG, thanks guys." Everyone handed me gifts until I couldn't carry them. my attention was somewhere else. I scanned the room. Where was he? He promised he would be here.
"Misha, I'll be back." I hurried outside.
It was cold outside. I searched the patio for him. He was supposed to the first one to wish me, but I didn't see him at all today.
"Happy birthday, jaanu." I turned around.
"Abhay!" I threw my arms around him.
"Did you miss me?" He kissed me. I nodded.
"Where's my gift?"
"You'll find out soon." He teased.
Abhay took my hand and led me into the hall. Everyone was dancing to "Saibo."
"May I have this dance?" He offered me his hand.
"You may." I took his hand.
We slow-danced in the center of the hall, right under the gleaming chandelier. Could this night get any better?
"Abhay, you still didn't get my gift."
"You'll get it, just wait." He winked.
We danced until it was time to cut the cake. Abhay whispered something into Kabir's ear as I was feeding Panchi some of the cake. Kabir went into the back and dimmed the lights. Abhay then took my hand and brought me back to the center, where the light was just a little brighter.
"I want to give your gift in front of everyone else, because it is that special." He said, gently touching my cheek.
"What is it?" I was going to burst out of excitement.
"Abhay, tell us what you are giving her. You kept us all in the dark about it." Panchi yelled across the room.
He reached into his pocket and pulled out a small box. He went down on one knee and opened the box. Inside it was a diamond ring. Everyone was in hysterics. I felt a tear run down my cheek.
"Piya, will you marry me?"
Emotion and memories filled my mind instantly. All the moments we shared together. Our first meeting, his intense, but silent attraction towards me, the day we confessed our love for each other. I promised him that I would always love him, even if he wasn't human. All that mattered was that he was mine, and I was his. It felt like a beautifully woven dream. Abhay...just proposed to me!
Tears ran down my face as I managed to say my answer.
"Yes...yes I will!"
Within seconds, he pulled me towards him and gave me a long, sweet kiss. Everyone was cheering and clapping. Abhay whispered something in my ear.
"I love you jaanu." He kissed me again.
"I love you too."
"Now you know what your gift is, a handsome and romantic vampire who loves you like his life."
"What does you being a vampire have to do with anything right now?"
"It means you'll never lose me. I'm yours, forever and ever."
"I know, I never said you weren't."
